she laughed seeing such a big difference between the hand sizes, while she laughed her nose wrinkled in all the right places "i think they're happy that we're together, that you're happy.. that you finally can settle into a good life style and stop obsessing about who you used to be" she spoke with confidence and dignity, the two features she's never been able to keep in one time.

Hogarth looked down at her, his hand gently cupping her cheek, his thumb gently rubbing Kai's cheek, pulling her head in towards himslowly, his lips against hers, he gently smiled against her lips, pulling away. " I think your right." He said softly, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without you." He continued, his hand sliding up and down her arm as his fingers played with Kai's.

she giggled softly lightly kissing him back, her tail flicked every so often while her one hand played with his, and the other lightly stroked the blade, althoguh she couldnt see out of her left eye, she felt it was no longer important. She felt no pain just joy and her heart fluttering like the wings of a humming bird.

His finger fallowed hers around the blade, his right eye turning a blue, he smiled. "I'm glad you and I are partners." He said, looking into her eyes, his fingers still playing with hers, gently laughing.

"as am i" she knew from his silver eye that they each had a small piece of eachother at all times, this of course comforted her while the moon rose high into the sky she let out a wide yawn resting her head against his shoulder she leaned into him relaxing completely, her fingers lazily played with the blade, comforting it keeping it under control. Sleep began to take her and she welcomed it, in the arms of her love she knew she'd sleep well.

Hogarth looked down, gently stroking her hair, watching her as she drifted off into a sleep. He looked around the forest, then down at her, his arms wrapping around her, acting like a small cocoon that would keep her safe while she slept, his cheek resting against her head, for the first time he was tired in the middle of the night, and he fell asleep with her.

Shin slowly slunk out of the tree the moment they were asleep and crept off to the lake to check in on Satoshi. So far it seemed he had just been caught up in their lives, without anyone really caring or explaining to him what had happened to him, then after he had gotten attacked by something in her forest, combined with how she had been acting lately, well she felt a bit guilty.

Satoshi heard someone approaching, he had just finished bandaging his wound, and when he looked up he saw Shin walking towards him.

Shin walked over to Satoshi and sat next to him with a sigh "Heya. You ok? That looked like a nasty gash you got there. This forest can be dangerous at times."

Kai disentangled herself from Hogarth's sleeping arms, she kissed the side of his face before wandering over to the pond, that's when she stumbled upon shin and satoshi, she gasped "is he okay?" she blinked before staring down at the blood "what happened?" she asked feeling slightly ashamed for having been sucked into a lover's moment so quickly.

"Yeah, I'm fine I've had worse, but thank you."

kai nodded "are you alright?" she quickly remembered some of the herbs shin had given her and rushed to find them, when she did she ground them into a paste and applied said paste to Satoshi's wounds "this should help you. Are you sure you're alright?"

"Yeah, as long as I can move my arm I'll be fine."

Satoshi moves his arm up down as minor pain surged through it.

the paste cracked and blood dribbled through "you may want to rest your arm for a while" while she made such a suggestion, her toes curled under in the flip-flops. Her left eye began to water, she rushed back to aid her lover's weapon sliding her fingers around the metal as well as she could, the pain stopped but tears continually 'bled' down her face.

Looking back down at his arm he muttered to himself.

"She's probable right."

"i know i'm right" she laughed ruffling his hair in a sisterly manner "trust me i've had enough of these injuries to know" this was the sad truth, she shivered remembering her daily beatings by her former master, this scared her to think of something to dark, she'd stepped away from the blade for a brief moment this calmed the spirits, she placed hogarth's hand back on the weapon, this, of course did help.

she was facing satoshi with a worried expression, she ripped an old cloth into smaller bits, slipped his arm inside and wrapped the cloth around his neck in a make-shift sling "now dont move it if you want to heal properly"

"Thank you, you know I never had anyone help me tend to my own wounds. It used to be every man for himself."

He looked down at his arm.

"that's why these are called modern times Satoshi" kai laughed "what're friends for?" she asked this in an unusually sweet tone, her eyes seemed clearer, what could've happened other than the truest form of happiness had finally set in. She blushed again before pointing to his arm "if you move it the wound will rip further"

"So, how long will this take to heal?"

"few days, maybe a week" she sighed then smiled blinking before slowly walking back to join Hogarth while he slept "water and air will help it so in other words swimming is a good idea" she giggled softly sitting back down in her love's lap and curling up. She hadnt slept like this in so long

Nick woke up slowly, he had no clue what was going on but he knew he hadn't felt this good in a while cracking on e silver eye he dimly wondered what the hell was going on. he sat up and held his pounding head. and then his mind pulled up his last few memories..Ray..shifting slamming into Kai.. her ripping ray's head off.. he sat there stunned. ohh hell.

kai felt something in the atmosphere change, she stood to her feet and ran over to Nick, he as awake, she smiled and dropped to his side "brother?" she asked in a panicked tone "brother?" she repeated

Nick groaned. "Don't yell.." his voice was a soft whisper as he lifted one hand to hold his head, trying to stop the pounding. "What I hit THIS time.." ohh yeah right.. he'd slammed into Kai.. note to self. never do that again.

she winced and pulled the side of her shirt up to reveal the ugly black and blue mark in the shape of his head "me remember?" choked out a laugh and stared down at him, with every breath she took it hurt more "are you alright?" she murmured

Shin glanced at Satoshi, then stood with a sigh, moving to loom over Nick "Welcome back to the world of the living. I'd imagine you're hungry, being unconcious for four days will do that to you. How do you feel besides that? Extreme pain? Cold? Heat?"
