Nick smacked the other boy upside the head. "She's pregnant you DORK. she can't stay here it's to dangerous." his voice was sharp and laced with aggravation. "Stop making this harder on her.."

Satoshi was utterly speechless. After the smack to the head he just looked at her with a thousand thoughts running through his mind at once.

Kai blushed deeply then looked up at nick "no violence please" she laughed shyly looking down at her own body examining it "i'm going to loose my figure.. arent i?" she asked nick shyly panick streaking through her "how am i going to do this.. d.. can i really raise a child...?" tears welled in her eyes.

Nick absently patted her back trying to calm her down. "Hey you have a mate, you have me.. deep breaths its NOT gonna be that hard. I promise.. just.. take a deep breath and relaxe.."

.. my dad was almost struck by lightening at our family cabin when i was 15, he was just slammed by a lot of wood, our house could have been damaged by the tree that fell over.. lightening was striking the town i live in AND i'm already fearful of them, there's alot of spiritual acticvity that goes on during a storm so of course i was scared -.-.. i'm not emo just frightful)

she nodded looking down at her own stomach then up at him she sighed "are you sure...? i know i have a mate, i'm sure he's wonderful with children.. but.. with everything i've gone through, everything you've gone through, i-is it going to rub off on her or him..? big brother i'm scared.."

Nick wanted to slap some sense into her but instead throttled the instinct and rocked her. "Your staying here tonight.." he lead her into his personal 'room' under the gorund nad rocked her humming low in his throat. a soothing song as he let his magic dance with it trying to distract her, for a time, from her worries.

Kai nodded and curled into her brother, she let out a soft cry trembling in his arms "i'm sorry" she bit her lower lip knowing that she was being annoying, that her fear was bugging him "i'm so sorry.. i didnt mean for any of this to happen" she gasped.

Nick closed his eyes. "Hush your my sister. their supposed to be odd.. or weird compared to the brothers .. just calm down you'll make yourself sick and I've yet to get new clothes.." he washed his clothes and let them dry while he swam or heck washed himself. rocking back and forth he started singing a, of all things, modern day song.

His voice was soft and soothing as he rocked her trying to get her to go to sleep.

Satoshi wandered back to the lake, sat down, and tried to clear his mind.

kai curled herself further into nick's arms attempting to keep herself calm which was slowly but surely working.

Ai was sitting by the lake, she had her feet in the water and shivering every so often, her body temperature had dropped to match satoshi's this was a trick she'd learned over the years of being with her father "you alright?"

"Yeah, I think so."

Satoshi finally felt the beating pain of Nick's slap.

ai looked over at him with concern "are you sure?" she stood on her feet and walked over to stand behind him examining his skull "yuo're not bleeding" she sighed "are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine just give me some time."

Satoshi reached inside his shirt and pulled out a blue opal, kissed it, and whispered into it,

"What have I gotten myself into this time."

".. who gave you that?" she laughed looking down at the gem thinking of it being slightly familiar, of course it was she had one like it hanging around her neck.

"As you know I was raised by bandits. They found this around my neck when I was a baby. When I was able to begin my training they gave it back to me."

He looked back up at Ai.

she blinked and wrapped her hand around the opal hanging around her neck with a curious expression set over her face "wh.. what?" she was suddenly taken a back "i have one just like it" she pulled the gem out from under her kimono

Nick left Kai sleeping on his bed and headed up to the world above, he shook his body as he shifted into his panther form and padded through the forest. mine just wandering over thoughts at the moment. he was just happy HE'D never found a mate. or his sister wouldn't be the only one going through the pregnancy issues.

Satoshi stood up and cupped the opal in his hand and compared the two. The only difference between them were the colors.

"This can't mean anything... could it?"

Nick climbed a tree and decided to jump from tree to tree, moving faster and faster as he darted from one to another, using the branches as if they where his own personal high way. he darted here and there, bounding off of the edge of a branch and then the body of a tree depending how close or far away they where.

"i.. dont know" she blushed deeply looking up into his eyes, concern streaking through her, were they family? destined? who knew, all she knew was that he was her best friend and of course she wuoldnt never let that change "mine is in shape of a heart and yours is just an oval.. the colours are practically the same but mine is shinier.. what does this mean?"

she noticed a panther streaking by them and stopped 'whoa..' she thought to herself 'this forest is so strange'

Nick came to a stop above them, silver eye's staring down into the girls face. then he dropped down walking up towards the two. hmm she smelled interesting. 'isn't she the new girl.. ' he wondered in the human part of his brain. the rest was just thinking 'where did she come from' he stood as high as a short humans hip with all black fur. large silver eyes, the same silver as in his human shape but a bit more ..wild.. free? unafraid? after all when you where the hunter, what did you have to fear?

"Well I don't know what this means."

Satoshi sat back down and tried clearing his head again.
