Shin sighed "I am tied here, but by duty, not so much physically. I guard this forest, and while I am tied to greenery, I am not tied to this place. I stay here because it is asked of me. It's boring, but I get to see the freshest sapling grow into the mightiest tree. It is a duty, but not an unpleasant one."

Nick looked at her with calm silver eyes. "And will your.. elders be able to help me to STOP growing greenery?" he could remember a time when he dind't he wasn't sure what had changed.. probably the bad stuff he avoided thinking about.. he'd been in a lot of pain at the time and something in him had broke.. and suddenly greenery had been every where in the house he'd been held in.. since then he'd been running. heck he didn't evne know if what chased him was still chaseing. just that if it caught up it would be painfull for him so he ran. "And Sorry I..didn't quite understand what you did here or why you stayed if it was so boring.."

Far ahead in the trail something moved within a small shrub, whatever it was it was really little, like a child. It wiggled and kicked underneath the protection the leafy branches the shrub gave stirring up the mat of dead leaves that covered the forest floor. Concobhar looked over Nicks shoulder at the commotion and started toward it.

Nick paused and turned catching the sound. what on earth. "Ohh..joy I think we have ethir trouble..or another come along.." he mumbled fallowing Con without much thought. he migh tnot like the other but he dind't want him dead..

Shin blinked and stepped into a tree, popping out closer to the commotion and peering down into the bushes. Then she blinked again and spoke "What... Who are you child?"

Nick took a good look at both and blinked. "I give you five guesses and the first four don't count.."

Within the bush a little kid lay, dressed simmilarly to con and almost looked like him too. Concobhar instantly jumped at the bush to lift the kid from the branches.

Nick jerked back as the male moved so fast and ended up on his ass watching as Con lifted the kid from the branches of the bush. "Don't DOO that.." he snapped. irritation lineing the words.

Shin sighed and retreated back to the ground. "So he has a kid or a brother or something? Wonderful. Let's hope he's better behaved." Shin shook her head slightly, well, bring him along I suppose, we have a ways to go yet and we should get as far as we can before nightfall."

Nick grunted. "Yeah.. but kids mean slowing down even more they can't keep up.. and I HIGHLY doubt the boys gonna let just anyone pick him up.."

Shin shrugged "If the kid is anything like Con, we have nothing to worry about, and I'm sure that Con will carry him if he gets tired. Con looks quite protective in fact. If we can keep up our pace and keep moving, we should get to the elders sometime tomorrow. But we can't dally." With that she turned and began to walk onwards. If she was on her own, she would have been there by now. Struck by a sudden thought she turned back to Nick "Wait, I have an idea. I can travel much faster then you, so why don't I go and fetch some of the elders that can at least speak to Con and maybe teach him a language we can use?"

Nick eye'd her. "You mean.. leave me alone with Con?" he sighed. "Sure fine.. go on and do that I'll keep an eye on those two.." he shrugged his backpack off and braced it against a tree settling it between the roots before he sat down himself. he was stuck with baby sitting but that was fine he could handle this..right after all how much trouble could those two CAUSE.

Shin raised an eyebrow "I'm sure you can handle it, but just in case, I'll get you some backup first. I'll be back in a few minutes." With that she turned, stepped into a tree and vanished.

Nick sighed in irritation. "Tree sprites really need to learn to stick around more often..

Con held the kid close and eyed them while they chattered among themselves. The sleeping child was his brother and he was determined to protect him. He went and say down a few trees away from nick and set the kid beside him. He pulled out the staff the dryad made with him before they went on their way and began to sharpen it on a rock.

(Sorry I'm slow I have classes on weekdays.)

Nick sat near Con, and watched him sharpen the stick well darn. "You know I won't let anything happen to you rbrother you don't REALLY need to do that.."

((it's cool i started up a private rp with her to so we wouldn't jump ahead on you..sorta like you and me did so we didn't do that to her XD))

Con jabbed him with the stick a few times, the stick already had a nice point on it, he didn't want Nick that close to him. He didn't yell as usual either he just kept quiet so he wouldn't accidentally wake his brother.

Nick glared at him but refused to move from where he'd settled down. silver eye's narrowing.t he stick twitched in Con's hold. then twisted the point becomeing blunt. "Poke me with that again and I'll wrap you in a cacoon of it.." he might not understand the words but he'd hear the threat clear enough.

Con shot him a nasty glare and went back to sharpening it. He took the hostility of the young mans voice as a threat....as always. He sharpened it up nice and pointy and raised it as if to poke, then remembered hw after poking him it became blunt...proceeded to whack the man on the head with it.

Shin cleared her throat slightly as she reentered the clearing "Did I miss something?" She had brought a large twelve point deer with her and he was following along respectfully. Apparently this was her idea of backup. She laid a hand on his flank and spoke to Nick "This is a friend of mine, if Con and his kid give you too much trouble, he'll step in. Now that you have some help I'm off to fetch some elders." With another pat to the deer she strode into a tree and vanished from sight except for a slight rustle of branches that faded almost equally quickly.

Nick stared at the deer. raised an eyebrow. "She REALLY has no clue what backup is does she." he shook his head and leaned back against his own tree. yep definetly glad he wasn't interested in females.

Con looked at the deer then at the sharpened stick. He poked at Nick a few times still wanting him to move. Shortly after he got up and tried to walk away from the general area, kid in tow.

The deer trotted ahead of Con, getting between him and the forest and stopped, snorting silghtly and staring at Con before taking a single step forward and tossing is head, large rack waving menacingly with it's many sharp points in Con's general direction. The deer snorted again and took another step, slowly forcing him back towards Nick.
