The elder speaking to Con's eyes flashed with anger and he squeezed his fist slightly, causing the bonds around Con to constrict to the point of being painful "Who are you, where are you from!?"

The elder watching over the young child knelt next to him with a smile. A tree beside her bent and lowered a branch to place an apple in her hand which she plucked and offered to the child.

Shin moved forward to Nick and clasped his shoulder "Nick please, you don't understand. With the advance of civilization my people are dying. Our spiritual forests stagnate because they are surrounded by metal. Animals are trapped in small places of forest, but it isn't enough. Your powers offer us hope. We need you, we need to know everything about your powers to know if we could do it ourselves, please? No one will harm you, you'll be well looked after, but please..."

Con yelped in pain and slowly answered them. "My names..Concobhar..I'm from Gaul." He didn't speak with a nice tone either. He strained against the earth prison wanting to break free of it.

The child took the fruit and set it with the other in his lap and thanked them in his native language. This child was sweet compared to his brother.

Nick's eye's darted at the pain sound, to Con and narrowed. he moved forward shrugging out of Shins hold to touch the earth around the man it slowly released its hold and melted back intot he ground. and nick went pale as his head swam but he shrugged it off. "I don't know how to control it .. it just happens I can't explain it and you can't protect me from the person after me alright.. You can ..fallow me through your woods and learn that way but Im not staying. and anyways.. shouldn't you be able to do this i mean your plant people right?"

One of the elders sighed "No, we cultivate, protect, and coexist with life, we cannot create it. Yet do not underestimate our power. We can protect you, regardless of who comes. If an organic, everything he eats will be poison, and everything he touches, thorns. Animals will harry him as will the forest itself. If it be metal, he will find himself rusting faster then he ever thought possible. I beg you to reconsider."

The elder that was speaking to Con glared, but then relaxed and instead touched his hand to Shin's forehead, murmuring slightly. Shin's eyes flashed and she nodded before turning to Con. "So, I speak your language now, and guess what! You get to stay with me."

Con glared at her and looked around for his spear, he did NOT like that idea at all. "You obviously don't like me I'm just leaving.

Seo walked up to Shin. "Your pretty like my mommy" he said in his innocent kids' voice.

Shin smiled and knelt next to the young child and patted him on the head "Thank you, that is very kind of you." She turned to Concobhar "I didn't like you because you attacked repeatedly, even when I was trying to be peaceable. I am aware that you could not understand my intentions, but I assure you that they were only self defense, then bringing you to the elders of my kind so that we could communicate with you and not merely let you run amok in the forest which we defend. In essence, that remains the situation. Until we understand you, we do not know if you are a threat, so they asked me to stay with you until this can be determined or discovered."

Concobar spat clearly annoyed by all of this. "I don't have to let you keep following me..I'm sure theres some way to get rid of you..." He pulled the metal brooch off the underside of his cloak where it was normally at, out of sight. He tied the two loose ends of his cloak together and held out the metal piece, remembering that she didn't seem to do too well against metal last time. Seosamh just giggled and strode back to the nymph that was sent to watch him.

Shin rolled her eyes. "I see no need to disarm you again, so rest assured, you may keep that. However, be aware that while it is really annoying, something like that is not going to be fatal and I move faster then you. I advise that you share your past, why you came here and all that, and we will be done with this much faster." She straightened as she spoke and tilted her head at him. That was mostly truth, but partly bluff. The metal really could do her some damage, she still bore the mark from his last attack. However this was merely an item, not a weapon, so she felt reasonably safe with a certain level of bravado.

Concobhar only smiled, he didnt tell her that there was a thick sharp pin that was on the brooch that folded over the rest, partly to stab through clothing underneath and partly to be used ot hold the other parts of the cloth. He flipped the end out and glared at her. "That's none of your buisness." he snarled through his teeth not liking her more and more by the second.

Shin blinked then in an obviously fake scared voice said "Oh no. It's a blade an inch long. Clearly deadly. And we're surrounded by elders in the middle of a forest. Whatever will I do." Shin raised an eyebrow and dropped the act "Really? That's the best you have? Why not just live with it and tell us what we want to know? It' the much easier path and means we don't ever have to see eachother again."

"Its BECAUSE I don't really care I'd like ot just RID of you and walk away knowing I'll never see oyu again." He got closer, walking just casually "And if you really wanna know why I'm here. I don't know. All I remember is the battlefeild..then the forest..and you.: He lunged forward fully intending to stab the whole of the pin into her shoulder. The pin being 3 inches long, made specially for holding the thick fabric of his cloak.

History: -about 100 years earlier poor kai was involved with a crime ring/slave trade. there was nothing she could do until her master died, she couldnt wait that long, while aging slower than anyone else she felt oddly out of place. Unable to realize what was going on she slipped into a very depressive state.

Twenty years later, now having aged to the physical age of 16 she felt it was enough. So, she ended her master's life brutally. The gurgaled pleading still haunts her to this day. This is the only part of her past anyone knows about her, including herself.

-Current History- Traveling from city to city Kai hasnt found a stable home so she refuses to let herself become attached to anyone. At first she may come off as a tad cold but she warms up to people quickly.

She is fond of the woods more than anything else, she refuses to admit it. She is a werecat and mostly noctournal as of now although she does come out during the daylight hours.

-Present- Dealing with memories of a life she felt she never lived, Kai has felt cursed for a little while leading up until now. She has befriended a werefox named Lima, who can speak when it suits her.

She has just found out what she is and is finally feeling comfortable with her ears and tail that never seem to fade away.

Kai wandered through the forest admiring the age of each tree, the thickness of each root and the width of each tree. Only being a few inches below five feet she smiled absent mindedly ignoring the fact that she feels like a dwarf.

She cocked her head happy to see the sun dipping behind the trees, having stayed awake all day traveling from a village she pilfered jewels from, she leaned against one of the tree trunks attempting to keep herself awake.Althogh her eyelids began to pull shut she managed to push herself upright and force them back open.

Kai turned her head in the direction of yelling, and sudden rumbles was echoing from. She followed it and found herself face to face with several people, one holding his hand above the grass, barely "did you make it do that?" she mumbled

(My characters Gaulish...kinda a barbarian and is attacking a tree nymph(firemare) who is trying to get nick (star) to help the forest with his awesome merical gro powers. (well thats not what his powers are called but XD))

Kai blinked walking in what felt to be circles after trying to find the source of the noises cluttering the forest until finally she happened upon what looked to be a barbairan and a nymph "what're you doing?" she shrieked, a sudden burst of pain shot through her head, she held her hands up and seized whatever weapon the man was using.. not completely though "ow.. whoa.."

Concobhar stopped unable to push the pin he had farther down. He glared at the nymph then at the girl. "BEGONE!" He shouted in his native language, the girl wouldn't be able to understand him for his language had died well over 2 thousand years ago.

Kai wasnt happy with the language barrier so she instictively hissed "excuse me?" her ears pinned back against her head "what do you think you're doing? She did nothing to you!"

Nick spoke up dryly. "Actually she did.. but that's beside the point.. who are you?" he was flatly refuseing to tell them anything about himself or his powers. he didn't want to remember and by golly he WASN'T going to.

Shin sighed and massaged her forehead. "Con knock it off, I'll sort out this business with battles with you later." Turning she looked at the newcomer "It's a complicated situation, but thank you for your help." then she turned back to Nick and shook her head "I do not understand your reluctance, but I respect it, and so will the elders." The various elders reacted with either nods or sighs before returning to the trees and vanishing. Shin's eyes went blank for a moment and she nodded "They agree, but as long as you reside within the ofrests, one of us will be with you. Currently you are still within my territory, so it will be me." Shin sighed again and rubbed her forehead as she looked back at the newcomer "And you are?"
