BASIC PESTO:

10 stalks of fresh basil

1 1/2 cup of pine nuts

2 tablespoons of olive oil

2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar

salt and pepper

Preheat oven at 350. Spread pine nuts on a cookie sheet in a single layer, place in oven to toast for 5 minutes.

Clean basil leaves off of stalks. In a blender or food processor, combine basil leaves, toasted pine nuts, white wine vinegar, and olive oil. Blend thoroughly, salt and pepper to taste.

Just a basic recipe, nothing to fancy...just laying the groundwork.

I usually post recipes because I want to share with other foodies. Also isn't this the thread of the Goddess of the Feast. I don't do it to make alot of gold. I love to share & to learn new things.
