When I think "menewsha," I think of "minutia." I'm not really sure, but it's at least a hunch. =P

Josh, the original owner, had a heated bidding battle in a horridly hot hovel in the middle of a very treacherous trench.

It was him versus 100 midget chinese sumo wrestlers.
So we're quite proud of the name, Menewsha, considering the obstacles the original owner had to go through to get the name.

xD Rando's username fits him well. xD

But yeah...That is pretty much how menewsha got its name, minus the action. :lol:

And it was hardly the bidding war as well.. He got the name for $1 or something close to that amount. xD

The cat is named Yumeh. -nods-

So how did the name menewsha come from then...It's so odd.... And very difficult to spell! :D

It was an old domain name that was sold cheaply at the time of the sites birth :yes:

And in the context of the website, Menewsha is the name of the island that we all live on. :yes:
Other islands within this chain are Amorus, Tapio, and Zajac (among others, of course).

Right.. Well that sounds pretty reasonable for an explanation. That the domain name was a cheap one to afford, so they made it like that and continued with it. Though the thing that ticks me off is that it really didn't have any bloody storyline on it. They made a comic book, but what i noticed it looks oddly familiar to Gaia online comics.

At first i made fun of the websites name and thought it meant, I'm New, Cha? Which was hilarious at first thought but then made no sense at the fact Almost nobody i know say's Cha. It's a personal thing XD.

Moving on, menewsha is a great site. I hope it does not sell out ever or follows the path Gaia Online took.

It is a great site! and I'm very grateful to be a part of it.
