mostly japanese music (lol how stereotypical~)
i don't really like jrock much, or visual kei.
i like angura kei and enka a lot, and 80's j-pop

to list a few:
coaltar of the deepers
nosaka akiyuki
kazuo funaki
anzen chitai
kikuchi momoko
susumu hirasawa(also p-model)
guniw tools
jun togawa
and tons of other ones but i don't feel like listing some of them.

i also like gunka, incase people don't know, gunka is basically military music, it's sort of similar to enka though.

also kraftwerk(from germany) though i haven't gotten into them much yet.

I enjoy tons of foreign music, its mainly all I listen to. The most popular is Japanese but I also listen to Italian, Korean, German, Russian, and French.

The main thing that comes down to it is I don't mind the language, but the singer needs to have a unique voice.

I'm a huge fan of French music. I have two bands probably tied for favourite: Kyo and Superbus. I also really like English bands. Right now I'm addicted to La Roux. Also, there are some really good foreign metal bands; for example, both Within Temptation and Delain are Dutch... (:

@Draciolus
Dude, saw Rawlins Cross live, they're so noticeably old it's awesome. Like.. every guy.. was so old and moved so slowly and they preformed like it was 30 years ago, but more arthritis and less jigging. And they dedicated a song to my friends because we were just so rowdy, dat was cool.

Idk, I'm not listing my preferences from my own country, especially since we're the new musical capital of the world. Or America, because there's not that much difference unless you're a folk band, I mean the writing is obviously different, but everyone is exposed to the same stuff. I mostly listen to music I can understand, English and French and Russian (keeno, yaanka dageelyeva and alina simone, mostly) if I'm challenging myself to get a few sentences out of there.

I love Yeye music. -___-;; Francois Hardy, France Gall, Serge Gainsborough, Jacques Brel, Jacques DuTronc.. And I love Quebecois punk and French rock. And fuck do I love M.

And I always listen to Mas Que Nada, the one by Jeorge Ben, whenever I study, but I'm not too overly familiar with Brazilina music outside of that.

Dude, check out Berri Txarrak! They're from Basque country and they're awesome! If you follow Rise Against, you may have heard of them. Other than them, Maximum the Hormone (Japan) is always awesome, same with Slot (Russian), Maksim Mrvica (Croatian), and Wine and Alchemy. Wine and Alchemy is a band that plays at Ren Fest. They do folk music from different parts of Europe.

I listen to mostly Korean, Japanese, Chinese & German these days. ∩_∩

English, I do sometimes~ but I tend to avoid it.
It's just not as 'interesting' when you can understand it all. ♥

considering i have a dual citizenship for the countries of germany and the united states of america, i would have to admit that i do not listen to music that is in a foreign tongue.

I tend to prefer music from other countries than from the US. There are so many that I love and could repeat their songs over and over again. I like alot of japanes, chinese and korean artists. With a few from England.

Oooh yep. I'm kinda biased towards foreign music. I have lots of Japanese music, and Korean and Chinese and Taiwanese.
Aural Vampire, ONE OK ROCK, Dir en grey are all great Japanese bands/musicians.
And I have Norwegian (Span!!) and Swedish (The Ark), Polish (Hey) and German (Rammstein) stuff. And I love French and Belgian punk. (Telephone, Noire Desire, Vive la fete and Stereo Totale). And Turkish rock bands are good too. And I love Cuban and Mexican folk music. And the Divas, who sing in different languages. (Polish, Spanish, French).
... .__.;
And British, Canadian and American music too, obviously.

Too many to list... But foreign music is awesome. Better than American music, hands down. Gothic music is great, and I commend the foreign bands that create gothic music or symphonic metal music.

Nightwish is an awesome band from Finland. L'Ame Immortelle is one from Austria. Celtic Woman from Ireland. Krypteria, from Germany. Qntal, that one's from Germany. So many more, but I don't remember too well their origins. Those are from the ones I have knowledge of.

Meanwhile I kinda like Rammstein and Megaherz from Germany, even if they aren't my type of music.

There's also Exilia, a pretty good female-fronted metal band from Italy.

I also have to mention of Scarlet Sins, an all-female metal band that lived in Canada. Unfortunately they broke up, but I love their music as well.

As for asian music, I am not into it, even for an asian (yes, I'm asian, believe it or not). Never bothered with any music but Japanese music, and I never truly was one for music from Japan... So, er... yeah.
