I'm sorry for your loss! :(
Did you let the nitrate cycle establish itself? Were you keeping the PH balance in check? Was the temperature in your tank suitable to the species? There are a lot of different issues that could be killing your fish.

I have a Ph test kit that I used on the tank before I put them in it, and the temperature was right for them.
It has been really hot here, but I thought the water was at an ok temp. or at least the thermometer said it was...

D: I know how horrible fish death can be. I once had one named HitlerFish (He had a hitler 'stache!) and when he died I cried, and cried.
When you clean his tank, don't pour out ALL the water, only half. Are you feeding him every day? Feeding him to much? Do you have any plastic plants that can break off, or have fabric peices that can string?

Oh bugger, it could have been a plastic plant, there is one next to the tank, and one of the fish started swimming funny one day when one of the leaves fell in... ;___; Aug I feel like a fish killer...

Aww, poor thing. I had the same problem. I couldn't keep a fish alive for the life of me. I have no idea what I could have done wrong. I eventually gave up on fish though. I still love to watch everybody else's fish like the huge tank in my doctors office.

I cant sleep without them, because my room is too quiet and the fish provide background noise with all of their bubbling fishiness noises at night, and now that they are all dieing off my room is quieter each night, it's depressing. my poor cute fish...

Maybe you should try moving any items that could fall in, and kill them. I know my fish were dumb enough to eat the strings from the fabric plants. D: (HitlerFish actually drowned... xD; He went in his tunnel, and got stuck. :cry:)
As for whitenoise, try a fan or something. I always have to have mine on. D:

If a fish has company, like another fish (same kind) they will like a lot longer.
Some fish REQUIRE another fish with them. If you go to Petco they will have on the tank if they need company.

Fish are sort of fragile. Don't be too hard on yourself :[
My sister killed all of her fish because she moved them out of the tank and into bowls of tap water; I assumed the temperature change and probably the chlorine in the water is what did it. The only advice I can give is to be very careful about the water you put your fish in... I don't know a whole lot about fish, but you want to keep the conditions exactly the same or they'll freak out. Poor little guys D:

D:
sometimes people think that when the fish float to the top of the tank, that its dead, but they could just be really full
;_;
so..maybe not all of them did die D:
but im sorry for your loss ;_;

aww.. *hug*
after you purchase another fish, ask the pet store for tips about this fish and maybe Google it's kind to know better about how to take care of it, you might as well go to the vet to ask him for some tips and advice.
Good luck, I know how you feel I have a turtle and I would be really sad if he died.
