Story

As you walked down a winding path along a lake, you see a smaller one. One covered by trees that cries with loneliness. Curiosity takes over your common sense as you begin down this path and come out in the entrance to a beautiful castle. From there, you are guided inside by welcoming staff as they take you to the shop, explaining that the castle you see before you is really just the shop owner's home. Finally you arrive at the destination, a cozy branch of the castle. Going through the door you find the shop-owner at her desk in a lobby of sorts and she looks up from her book to smile at you. "Welcome!" she cries. "Welcome to Swinging Chains. Follow me to our selection." Slightly confused by the name you allow the lady, a beautiful woman in her early twenties with short brown hair, to guide you down the stairs into the real shop. Suddenly you freeze as you take in the scene before you, rows and rows of cages swinging a couple feet off the ground by chains. But the cages aren't empty. Inside you see hundred of slaves and realize that, yes the shop owner was correct! There is a vast variety of selection, but more precisely, a vast variety of races and collars to choose from.

|| I used to live with my family in the mountains when I was little. My mom was a teacher and my father a doctor, so they made plenty of money and there was no chance of falling into slavery. Until that day when me and my mom went out to the forest.

Me and my mom were following the usual paths along the cliff when I was foolish enough to run off it. Mom didn't notice at first and then ran after me through the trees. I ran to a small river and fell in when I slipped on the rocks. Mom jumped in to save me, and she did but . . she couldn't save herself. We'd gone pretty far downriver and when I finally got a good grip on a branch, the current was so strong. She could barely hold on and the branch broke as I climbed onto shore. She was swept down the river and off a waterfall. She broke her neck on the rocks below.

When I finally found my way home, I had to tell my father. He was devastated and took it out on me by beating me. He went into depression, never going to work and eventually, being fired. The bills weren't payed and I had to find food on my own. When I was ten years old he committed suicide. I was swept to the streets for two years until the slavery got me, now an orphan. I was there for a year until my first Master bought me. Bad luck seems to cling to me like a coat though and he was murdered a couple months ago, a week before my birthday. I've been in the slavery ever since.||

||I spent my early years living on the streets after my mother died. But truth be told, I don't really remember much of that, I was really little at the time. Not even quite two years old yet. I dont even remember her face or how she died. I just know she had black hair. But don't worry, I'm not traumatized or anything by my street going days. That's probably because I spent a grand total of two days there. After that I was picked up by a Circus. I was taken in by a Contortionist by the name of Miss Rosemary, to this day i dont actually believe that that was her real name, but she took care of me and started teaching me at the age of two and a half. When i was five i could bend my back upwards to so that my thighs rested on my shoulders and my feet touched the ground. By the time i was ten i could twist my spine almost one hundred and eighty degrees with no help. Needless to say I'm pretty flexible. I cant say i really enjoyed it much though. I still like to bend now and then just to make sure i can still do it, and its relaxing to me too.
When i was fourteen the Circus was shut down and i was sold to Swinging Chains to help pay off the debt. Luckily for me i wasn't alone another circus boy was sold with me. I didnt know him well then but me and Gabe became good friends after coming here. Being cooped up in a cage does that to you.
I never really learned how to read or write properly, because i never went to school but one of the girls next to me was older than myself and taught me a good deal of her skills. But when she left i lost a lot of what i learned. I still read now and then though, I have a copy of Black Beauty under my bead||

|| I was actually born a slave, though i hate to admit it. My mother and father where both owned by the master and hated every day of servitude as all people should in my opinion. This guy had an extra dose of evil in him though because he forbid any of the slaves to ever have a child or get married. So, naturally my parents became married in secrete and made little old me. My mother, bless her soul, managed to hide the pregnancy until i was born. The master killed both of them and spared me only because he needed someone to cook and clean for him and didn't feel like buying more servants i suppose.
When i was fourteen I ran away and started experimenting with fire. I found i was actually pretty good at it and started to do some street performing to pay the rent. After a while i got pretty popular and some Circus guy offered me a job with him and he would pay me double what i earned. Obviously i said yes and became the star fire breather, coal walker and dragon tamer. It wasnt an actual dragon but i controlled the flames to make it look like one. Anyway a few years later and I'm back in damn slavery all over again. I hate it.||

|| I was born human as most of my kind are and grew up quite normally for a person of my time which was relatively poor. I had many siblings and being the middle child had to do a good deal of work and take care of a good number of the younger children. At the age of fourteen i left home to make my own life.
I lived alone for a good chunk of my life and at the age of nineteen I married the love of my life Olivia. But fate was not on our side. Shortly after our wedlock she became pregnant and died in childbirth. Our son Antony died the next day. Afterwords I fell into a depression and became severely drunk, said the wrong thing to the wrong person and was beaten to an inch of my life. Luckily, or unluckily depending on how you see it, the person who found my bloody mess in the alleyway was a vampire who took the free meal gladly and accidentally turned me in the process. Since then i have acquired a large amount of wealth and a lovely place in the country. But i have to say its a bit large for me to take care of on my own, and it does feel rather empty with just myself living there. ||

Hmm, has she been on at all, or did she just forget? Because if she forgot we could remind her and if she was not on at all we can ask the moderators if we could revive the idea with one of us or something....but we still need to find members, and I think all of those already posted were played by 2 people in total, we also have to make sure we wouldn't break the rules, I am not on here enough to make sure nobody would break rules so I can't really do it but I can play!

i have a role play myself so i dont mind making it- but i'm not on much on the weekends i have no Internet at home, but i'm aloud on the net at work, so i'm regularly on ^^

i could set it up and you'se could all role play that way, and as long as it's not a complete copy

cool...so Vexous do I PM you my profile? Personally I liked the organization and detail that she put into the thread, I thought that it was really thought out and it gave the thread a type of 'clean' and 'safe' feel so that's cool, professional is probably the word I'm searching for.

I'd really love this thread to be rebooted, it is a great idea, it's a pity she's never on.
