"maybe he likes you, and your lucky if he does you have someone who likes you for who you are, not because of your looks" paige said sourly. then she turned to kaer'lic, "i was just thinking" she said looking down her hair falling over her shoulder to hide her face.

"I like you for who you are. There's something about you that intrigues me Paige." Kaer'lic blurted out.

Paige looks at him from the corner of her eye, which he couldnt see because of her hair, "and what would that be?"

"That's a good question. I wish I knew. Maybe it's those intense green eyes of yours. Who knows. I feel like I want to get to know you better. I know that isn't something you want after what I've done." kaer'lic looked over at Paige, looking for a reaction.

"are you sure you want to know?" paige challenged.

"Yeah, I'm sure." He said. The certainty very clear in his voice.

Kaer'lic looked over at Paige. "Well neither is my story of being abandoned but I'll end up telling you at some point anyway. Now, tell me about yourself." He insisted.

"well i was a charmer for victor, that wasnt fun" paige scowled

"Come on now. I know there's more to your life than that. I know what you are and I know that you aren't exactly young. So please don't insult my intelligence. What else is there to know?" He said, a grin spreading across his face.

Daphne finally spotted three figures on the roof "Paige is that you" she called up and waited for a reply as she watched 'if that is her who are the other two'

skeith poped up out of the darkness and whispered to daphne "shh, lets let them have their moment. i won't complain since i can understand what kaer'lic is going through with paige, kiki is the same way she just wants to be with friends." he grew silent for a momant and then said "come on, lets join them." he walked up behind and sat down next to kiki "don't worry, i'm not mad. same to you kaer'lic." he smiled and said "just don't make me regret letting you two move around when your not supposed to."

"okay" Daphne said as she climbed up a fire escape since to many humans were around for her to act like a superhuman also she had sprained her ankel when she tripped over that tree root "it's beautiful up here" she said as she sat down beside Paige and looked up at the stars "Paige are you okay"

Kaer'lic looked over at Skeith. "Believe me, I'm not doing much moving right now. I have barely moved from this spot. Then again, it's more because I can't move, not because I don't want to." He chuckled.

skeith chuckled with kaer'lic and asked "so did the surgery work? feeling better?"

"Feeling better......I need to think about that one. I feel like crap. The burning is still there. Just not as bad. It's not something that should cause alarm." He said, attempting to calm the situation.

"well once you've regained some strength i'll take you back to the castle where the medics can see what still needs some work on." skeith went silent for a moment. "i just thought about this but has my castle become a hospital without my knowing or something?"

"well you have some of the best medics in the world" Daphne stated looking at Skieth "and some people have been careless about what happens to them" she tapped her fingers on the roof as she heard the sounds around her 'the animals are calm but the people are worried about something i hope they dont think were planning anything up here' she worried what would happen if they did and decided to take action

Paige listened to their conversation without interest, she was glad she seemed to have gotten out of telling kaer'lic about her life. she looked over at everyone. then she looks at kaer'lic, "guess i got out of telling you now?" she said.

"No Paige. I want to hear everything. So spill it, now please." He insisted, forcefully.

Paige sighed, "Very well, i was turned into a vampire two days before my 17th birthday. i was walking back home and a vampire followed me, he killed my parents and bit me after telling me that i was maybe pretty enough to get a spot as a charmer for a vampire named Victor. he dragged me to that mansion and i was there for almost 100 years charming men into the castle to be turned. I messed up enough because i never liked it there. so he beat and starved me. finally i said enoughs enough and i escaped." paige left out some but she wasnt going to let him know that. "Thats pretty much all there is too it"

"I think you and I both know that wasn't all of it. But I won't press the topic anymore. I like you Paige. I could get used to spending time around you.' kaer'lic said casually.

"is very easy to get sick of me." Paige looked at him then looked at the sky.
