Appearance: Tall, Hispanic descent, glossy brown hair that waves past her shoulders, big brown eyes that sparkle when she smiles, thin, curvy hips and bust, wears trendy clothes but at work is confined to her starched uniform.
Bio: Alexandria is the youngest child of a farming family who moved from Mexico when she was 3. She loves to help people and trained as a nurse as soon as she left school. She passed with flying colours and got a placement at an insane assylum where she helps the patients and gives them medication and that.
Personality: She is clever, can be quite outspoken at times, she is very caring and often does what will benifit others without caring what happens to her. She loves to have a good time but always puts her gaurd up as soon as people get close to her.

Abel sat upright in the bed. His blue eyes looked out over the winter landscpe outside the window. He missed being able to walked around and do the things the normal 18 year old would do. Hismother no longer cared about him. That was clear when he was was placed In this place. Every day he tryed to make the people listen to him. To understand the he was not crazy that the things he sees are real and not something his mind had made up. He ran his fingures throught his black shaggy hair. It was almost time to have his medicane. The nurse was nice she always listened to what he had to say. Abel turned away from the window and just wish for once someone would see what he saw.

I pushed the medecine cart along the hallway towards the last room on my route. It was my favourite room. Abel was inside it. He was always so lovely and had such lovely stories. I suppose your not supposed to have favourites but if I did he would definately be one. I tapped on the door and then walked in, pushing the trolley ahead of me. I smiled warmly at Abel.

"Hello Abel. How are you today? Here is your pills, oh your sheets look a bit grubby Abel. I'll just vhange them for you," I said cheerily as I habded him his pills and a cup of water. I then went over to his bed and pulled off the sheets, pillow case and duvet cover.

"Hello" Abel said with a sigh. He placed the pilled on the desk nexted to the bed. He did not need or want them. But the water he gladly drank. "is it coild out side?" He asked. "It looks cold" He paused "Has the doctor, agreed to see me yet?" Since the first day he got here Abel arrived at this horribale place he did every thing to get out even going so far as to try and escape one night.

I rolled up the sheets in ball and put them on the trolley. I then took my water jug and re-filled Abels glass.

"Now now Abel, take your pills. You know you will never get out if you don't take them, though I can see where your coming from. Yes it is cold outside today, I was freezing when I was walking to work this morning, even in my coat. I'm sorry Abel, the doctor is busy today, he will try and squeeze you in later this week, though I wouldn't get your hopes up, you know what he's like," I said to Abel. I then reached down to the botton of the trolley and took out a fresh set of linen for Abel's bed.

I went over and fixed on the sheet and then said "You must be going stir crazy cooped up in here, the only people you see are me and those at your meetings. I can speak to the doctor if you want, tell him you have made some really good progress, we may be able to organise a shopping trip or a visit to the zoo. I'm sure he would let me take you, how does that sound Abel?"

"that sound good. Thank you for you help." Abel tiped the pill cup over and let it spill onto the floor with his foot his swtamped each and every over of those pill into dust "I wont take them. I dont care what you people say. I know what im going throught much better then you people do." his eyes narrows as watched the doctor pass by the door. "I also dont wanna go to those retarded group sessions. I have a brain unlike this people. I should be useing it... not taking about what makes the color green...."

I continued to make Abel's bed. I really felt sorry for him, he obviously hated it here.

"OK, you don't have to take your pills today, but I want you back on them tomorrow, and if you want a day out of this place you have to go to your group session I am afraid. I know they are boring and some people make it a bit slow but if we stand any chance of making the doctor believe you are OK to go on an outing then you have to go to your sessions. Maybe if the outing is a success it could become a regular thing?" I said as I plumped his pillow and patted his duvet into place.

I swept the dust of his pills up and put it in the rubbish bag at the end of my trolley.

"I will speak to the doctor tonight before my shift ends and I will tell you what he says OK, I will also tell him that you two need a meeting. Look I have to go now, I have to set up the hall for a session. I will speak to you later OK Able?"

Abel moved to his bed sitting on the edge "It all get worst at night. They come out at knight you know... No one is around to see it. If there were people here to see them you would understand what i am talking about" His idea sounded out of place and odd. Something you would exspect from a person deemed crazy. He layed on the bed and put his head on the pillow. "I cant run from them in this place...."

I looked at Abel. "What comes out at night Abel? What can't you escape from?" I asked him, the hall could wait. Abel obviously needed someone to speak to and he was obviously sick of being here, labled as mad, crazy, loopy. He wasn't he just had a different way of thinking. Thats why I liked him.

"I dont know what they are. They arent human and olny I can see them... They killl the other people in this wing.. for fun" He replied his face sinking into the pillow. Abel lifted up his shirt and 3 large claw marks were running up his side. "this is from them"

"Abel! Oh my!" I said looking at his back. "That looks painful! Here, let me go and get some antiseptic cream or something for that!" I said and was about to leave Abel's room with my trolley when I suddenly stopped still.

"Wait." I said. "Did you say the kill? Who have they killed?"

"I cant remeber allt he names... But the man you pulled out of room 3008 was killed by them." Abel let the shirt drop. "You sould check his body for scars. they have been attacking him for a while."

I gasped. 3008. That was Jasper's room! He was a lovely guy, he was a bit cracked, he had watched his mother and father get killed, its no wonder he ended up here. He was found dead last week. He had cuts on his body and old scars, we assumed he had been self harming with something in his room and had went to far. I never knew that someone was attacking him!

I sat on Abel's chair and put my head in my hands.

"Abel. Why didn't you tell anyone!" I asked weakly. But how are we supposed to protect the patients. "Abel, how do we stop them?"

What was I thinking? Was this real, could Abel really see things that we could not?

"I have told people... Why do you think I an still here..." Abel paued his face darkened. "...And I dont care anymore. I just wannsa get out of this place and for good. Even if i have to keep my mouth shut and let people die to do it...And i am warning you. If you try and say something without proof You will end up in a room just like I am." Abel stood and walked back over to the window In the snow he saw Foot print appering in the fresh snow, But Abel could not see what was making them. "There is a monster now.. In the court yard.

I looked at Abel. I gasped and clapped my hands to my mouth.

"Abel," I whispered. I looked out the window and saw some footprints in the snow. They could have been made hours ago, no-one was out there, but they were kept materialising. I looked at them, wide eyed and then quickly stepped back from the window.

"Look, Abel. This is weird. I dpn't care about getting thrown in here, we have to do something. Look, I have seen soemthing like this on TV before. I am going to the library in my lunch break so I will check the computer for newspaper reports on something to do with the building. If my hunch is right we may be able to get you out of here and protect everyone. But right now, what I want you to do is stay away from the window and sit tight. I have to go but will be back in an hour. Remember to go to your meeting," I burbled and took my trolley and left his room. My thoughts buzzing round my head.

Abel sat tight not moveing from his spot by the window. His face and emotionless and his voice was cold as he spoke "I have a feeling that the meeting to day will me called off"
As he contiued to watch the foot steps the Thign that was making them popped into view. It was nothing more then a dark shadow with two glowing orange eyes. It looked up at the building. Abel was unable to tell if the best could see him or if it could not.

I walked quickly out of Abel's room, replaced my trolley into the store cupboard and then went into the doctors master office. The doctor ran the place. The king of this mad castle I guess you could say. I tapped on his door and went in. His office was huge, wood pannelled walls, a winged armchair and a huge oak desk. The room was crammed with lots of weird and wonderful nic-naks and pictures. Typical of the doctor. Thats one thing I hated about him, he made everyone call him "the Doctor" Like a Doctor Who type thing. Annoying at times.

"Hi sir. You don't mind if I take an early and a long lunch today? I have to do some research for my college course work. I was planning to go to the library now and esearch them," I said to him. And then quckly sheilded my eyas and backed out of the oom shouting backwards "Sorry, I didn't realise you had..company!"

I heard his muffled rasp through the heavy door and took that as a yes. He had his hands full with Nurse Docarty anyway, he won't mind. I shook my head and then went off towards the library.

When the coast was clear Abel walked out of the his room He walked down the hallway folloing the beasts movement. IT was heading for the common area outside. "What do you want there" he wondered.

I walked qiuckly to the library, I could see from the window that the snow was begining to fall yet again, I shivered. When I got to the library I creaked open the heavy oak doors and slipped inside. I smiled wanly at Mrs Pintcher, the librarian, as I passed. I liked her, she was lovely to staff but didn't really have much time for patients, some she liked, the ones we were helping get back on track, with college courses and things. She is a ratehr formidable woman, greying hair that puffs in a clump about her head, a pinched look about her and small owly glasssed at the end of her hooked nose, magnifying her beady black eyes.

I went straight to the computer and ignored all the work I was putting towards my college course and went to the internet. I searched the establishment, deaths, births, history, all that stuff. It was quite interesting really, one story in particular. After about an hour I went back to that story and re-searched it further. I gasped.

I re-read it and then quckly logged out of the computer. I had to tell Abel! I walked quickly out of the library and towards the wards, Abel was near the back, he had a single room rather than comunion as he made others nervous at times. By the end of the hall I was jogging. I got to his room, typed in the keycode and pushed open the door.

"Abel!" I said urgemntly and then looked around. The room was empty!
