"Yes, but... why is one of them bandaged," he asked. Now he wondered why she was staring him. Maybe she liiiikes yooou..., the voice in his head mused. You should be flattered, it continued. Not a lot of girls are really into that hobo-look you're sporting...

Paige smiled, "I dont like storms much and there was a storm and it scared me and i ended up digging my claws so far into my hand i passed out."

"Oh," Leonard said, not expecting that answer. "That sounds like a serious affliction. Have you ever thought of keeping your... uh... claws trimmed?"

"then how will i hunt?" she laughed.

"I suppose you have me there, Miss Paige," he said, laughing. He supposed that he should have known more than anyone that trimming your nails, or claws in this case, would make it less... efficient. Especially someone who used them to obtain food. He should have certainly expected such an answer, and absentmindedly put a hand to the scar on his face.

Oooh... I like this one, said the voice in his head. She's feisty.

Paige looked at him, she put one hand on her hips and looked around, "this place is really cool, i havent gotten a chance to explore yet though"

His eyes were automatically drawn to the way she put her hand on her hip. Not a very catlike movement, in his eyes. Some cats are also people, his imagination mused. He shook the thought from his mind. "Well," he said finally. "I suppose I haven't had the chance to properly explore either. What can you tell me about this place so far?"

"Not very much, the rooms are up there" she pointed upward, "the bars over there" she pointed to a door, "and this place is very historic" her green eyes lit up, "I like it"

"Historic?" His head tilted quizzically. "What do you mean by that?"

"oh, it seems really old" she laughed alittle, "shame i need to sharpen my claws but i dont want to ruin the walls in this place" she stared at her claws absentmindedly

"I appreciate that you try not to," Leonard said. There was a lingering thought in the back of his mind that he just couldn't shake: she reminded him of his brother. Not entirely, no, though he had only known her for about fifteen minutes. Something about the sweet disposition hiding that hint of danger that you only saw in the worst of moods. He saw a bit of that in her. "It is... rude to damage things that are not yours."

He looked past her to the upstairs. "Do you think there are still empty rooms up there," he asked, not knowing if she would know the answer or not. It was worth a try, in any case.

"i know that!" she half hissed, but regain her composure, "im sure there are, i wouldnt know, i fell asleep on the stairs" she semi-smiled.

He jumped back a bit, not expecting her to take it so personally. He had not meant any offense, really. It was more of a passing comment, and a reminder to himself, and to his imagination, not to get carried away.

"I... uh... take it you haven't been here long, then."

"only one day so far" she sighed.

"Oh. I see," he said. "Well, if you haven't explored yet and I haven't explored yet, then maybe we could explore it... together?" It seemed to make sense to him. He was new to this town and didn't know their customs, she at least knew a bit more than he about how things worked in these parts. And while he valued his solitude from time to time, traveling semi-alone for as long as he had been was beginning to wear on his psyche. It would do him well to have some company for now.

She laughed "sure!" she twirled around for no appearent reason.

He laughed quietly. "You sure are full of energy, aren't you?" He was, again, reminded of his brother, and quickly pushed that out of his mind for now. This was not why he was here. When he finished his task here, then he could concentrate on that.

Pushing the thought out of his mind again, he began. "So you say upstairs is the rooms, and over that way is the bar. Where do you want to begin?"

She looked around, "hmm..i kinda wanna look around outside, im starving" she smiled.

"Well, okay then. Sounds like as much of a plan as any," he said, leading her to the door. He opened the door and stood by it, waiting for her to walk through. "After you, Miss Paige."

"why thank you" she smiled and walked outside, she took a deep breath and spun around, but tripped on a rock and fell, "ow" she laughed at herself.

Another quite un-catlike thing to do. Nonetheless, he knelt down and offered her his hand. "Are you okay, Miss Paige?"

Hey, cats can be clumsy, his imagination said, resurfacing once more after a joyful moment of silence. Especially when they're intoxicated from catnip or some likewise plant. They usually recover better than this, but she is also human... we would assume.

She grabbed his hand careful not to claw him, "Thanks i guess im not fully awake"

"I suppose not," he said. "Perhaps after you have had some food you will feel better?" He smiled, glad mostly to have her company, even if that meant watching her devour a live animal... another thing that he was, unfortunately, accustomed to.

"maybe" she looked past him and suddenly darted off into the forest, she came back a few minutes later smiling. "your right i feel a little better"

Leonard was a bit taken aback at the motion. He had not been expecting it to happen so fast, and thusly was still facing the spot where she had been, rather than where she was. "You are a very... efficient hunter," he said. "Hans would be impressed," he said rather more quietly.
