How odd. You'd think that without a sense of time one would become more insane. What with our bodies having natural biorhythms that match up with the sun. (Well, we're off an hour, but still.)

That explanation might actually be interesting to throw in if you can find a way to do it without revealing it’s an asylum. Maybe something about how time vanishes in the building? I'm not sure; I just think it's a really interesting concept.

Well, when you're describing the room Mrs. Hedgeworth is in, or perhaps when the bit about the hallway of cells, you could talk about time vanishing in the darkened halls. Or that the lightless cells showed no sign of escape. Or something to that effect.

Only a suggestion, but I'm really fascinated by the concept. Hehe.
