No problem!
I'm thinking of starting a "Drag Photo" thread. I cross-dress all the time, I want to take photos. Maybe that'll encourage other people to experiment with it, or at least not treat it so harshly.

Ahh, if you do that, I will gladly join you in it.
It's not such a big thing as people make it out to be. :[ It's sad.
But if you make that thread, just let me know! I would definitely be a reg. :)

If I did it it'd be in the winter. My legs totally give me away so I wear shorts in the summer. that and having sweat on my chest is not my cup of tea. So during the summer I'm a girl, and during the winter I'm a boy. Without equipment.

See, that's exactly what I was talking about - it's so much easier to cross-dress when you're a girl. And, unless you go with a fake beard, most of the time people won't even complain when they find out your true gender.
Talking about true gender: genetically, almost nobody is "truly" male or female. Most of us share both male an female traits, so the whole male/female distinction is more like a guideline, not a fix set of rules.

But with how society is, it gets hard. There are rules for how girls and boys should act. How they should dress, how they should be, what they should be. Though there aren't a real set of rules, there are always those stereotypical 'let's fit in and do what everyone else does' rules. Even if they don't want too..
Does that make sense? Ugh.

Your words make sense, of course! =3
Well, stereotypes are very human, since they help us judge situations based on experience. But with the whole gender role topic they're just outright stupid. We've let those petty stereotypes constrain ourselves for thousands of years now, and I can only hope the current trend of blurring the boundaries will lead to free choice one day.
(Especially for men. I hate how people still laugh at them when they live their "female" selves!)
Then again, I never give anything about futile social rules, anyway. Someone who's dressing up in cargo pants and punk attire for business meetings with banking representatives has the big advantage of people no longer expecting conformation.

Yeah, yeah. Exactly.
Eh, with how many repulsive idiotic people in the world it will be a long time till that ever happens. The world is still narrow minded.

It is, but for some strange reason when it comes to gender roles it's developing rather quickly into the right direction (well, at least over here in Germany). Maybe not for the right reasons - I always get the impression that people do it just to provoke others - but it's the outcome which counts, isn't it?
But I fear I'm about to hijack your thread, since we're a bit offtopic right now. :D
Then again, I have to leave, anyway. Have to attend a first aid course early in the morning. Ugh. :(

Awhh, it's okay. I don't mind. :3
It was lovely talking to you, hopefully we can talk again.

I won't lie, I thought about them before.
But I'd much rather have been born a guy than to have to have a sex change.
So I'll stick to being a girl.
And, in my opinion, if you're really upset about your sex than change it. It's your decision after all.

I have never really wanted to be male. I never thought it would be easier or anything, but I can appreciate how hard it is to hate one's body. I think that you have to really want it with all your heart and soul because it takes such a toll on your health. I was told it takes nearly 20 years off of your lifespan because of the surgery itself and the hormones you have to take.
I guess you have to ask if you really think it would make you happy.

No honestly a sex change has never interested me. I have always let myself wonder about what it would be like to be a boy but I love myself to much to ever become one. I totally respect people's decision to undergo this change but I know I will never understand it and frankly can never hope too.
I figure that people do it because they hate themselves. I mean that's the only explanation I could think of to drastically change you outward appearance and gender. I dunno though, I could be wrong. I feel a strong parental support could definitely help with this decision either way. ><

=o= The only reason I've ever wanted to be a guy was to know what peeing standing up would be like. Or masturbating, bahahaha.
But I like being a girl. D:
If I were a guy, I'd be super gay.
I love clothes and I hate muscles. :(

I have kinda wanted to be a guy. But, I'd have to be gay if I was. I dislike being a girl, but whatever. The truth is, my best friend is a gay guy and he admitted if I lost a pair, grew another pair and then some, we'd probably be a couple. I'd never go through with an operation though, it's not like I feel I should be a guy or whatever.

I would LOVE to be a guy, but then i'd have to deal with the hate crimes against me, and my brother constantly beating the rats out of me because he finally got a little brother and not a little sister.

And if you are okay with it, then the rest of us are as well I guess!
But seriously, I only gave it thought in joking context when talking about my bra size (well, might as well be a guy with an A cup!). However, I did have a friend of mine who underwent sexual reassignment surgery. She had to take hormones in order to get her body to start 'thinking' like a male's would. Then she had her mastectomy, where they removed her breasts. After, they gave her the choice of how to construct her new penis. She could either undergo a surgery that would use a silicone apparatus and create a penis but it wouldn't have any feeling in it, or she could have the necessary work done to have her clitoris enlarged, which would give her feeling but only a three to four inch penis.
Before any of it though, she had to see a therapist and be counseled about why she would want to change her gender, if it was the best and most healthy option for her, etc.
Trans-gendered people are those who feel as though they are the correct mental sex, but have the wrong physical body. My friend knew she was a man, but had just gotten the wrong genitalia during development in utero (her theory on it anyway). If you seriously do not know if you would be better off as the opposite sex, then talk to someone: a counselor, someone who has been through it already, etc. Then you can definitely find out if it is a real issue for you, if you just maybe have some uncomfortable feelings about yourself (which would not go away, even if you did change genders, also, I am not stating you, or anybody here does; it is just a possibility!)

I'm faintly curious about being a guy, but I don't think I'd ever actually get a sex change. Despite my complaints of periods and moodiness, I'm pretty happy being a girl.

For a long time I've wished I was a guy, but I wouldn't do a sex change. It was mainly because I was just fond of males. Sure girls are pretty, but it feels like boys have more freedom in things, and sometimes, I wish I was as tough as them too.

ugh. jeezus. yeah, i've thought about it, and i don't like the idea at all. i hang around a lot of dudes, but i'm still happy to be a girl, tho there are times when i wish i was a dude, but when i do end up wishing i was a dude, i end up changing my mind 'coz i think of all of the drawbacks about it... so yeah. staying as a girl. always.
