One manga that I've read that not a lot of people know about is From Eroica With Love. The manga was started in the 70's and I think it's still going xDDD but hardly anyone knows about it...I only learned about it in the last year...I have the first 3 volumes

The unknown manga that I have been reading is Alichino, GOTH, Godchild, Model; and +Anima. Because really, there are times where I get really sick of the mainstream and popular mangas and just want to read something more interesting. Most of the unknown mangas I have read have quite a gothic/horror feel to it as well as have amazing art styles.

Alichino is about a guy whom has the ability 'slay' wish-granting demons whom in exchange for your life grants you your wish. The art here is absolutely stunning especially if you're into Visual Kei like I am. But it is hard to get hands on the 4th volume though

+Anima is kind of similar to X-men but much more cuter since it is about a bunch of kids whom have animal powers, travelling the land to find a place where their kind (the +Anima) are accepted in soceity.

It's not a manga, but an unkown anime that for me it's wuite good is Karas. A 6 Ova series which tells the story of Yurine, the High Priestess of Tokyo; and Karas, the defender of the city. The last Karas betrayed Yurine and started to get control over Tokyo, so now Yurine is trying to defeat him to recover the peace in the city.

And Karas means crow, the fights and transformations of Karas look incredible! It uses 3D in some scenes and looks quite good.

Another one, but this is a short film. It's called Kakurenbo, that in japanese is the game of Hide and Seek. It's a fantasy tale about a group of kids that enter in the Demon city to play Hide and Seek with them. Every child has a reason to play the game and to protagonist is just finsing his sister that played the game the last time and didn't came back again.

Also Blame! I think it's a good manga, but I'm still trying to understand some parts of it... It has very little texts and explanations, so is mainly visual.

Hmm, I'll stay to the somewhat lesser known ones.

* +Anima
* 9 Lives
* Chronicles of the Cursed Sword
* D.Gray-Man
* Dazzle
* Demon Diary
* Dogs
* Dragon Drive
* Fallen Vampire
* Good Witch of the West
* Junjo Romantica
* Kyo Kara Maoh
* Monochrome Factor
* Nightmare Inspector
* Nora
* Recast
* Silver Diamond
* Tegami Bachi
* Waqwaq

And those are just the one's I own lol. I can just never find the next volume! :-x Out of those though, my favorites have got to be +Anima, D.Gray-Man, Dogs and Nora.

I dont believe Alichino is well known. Really good manga/story line. What really bites is there's only 3 volumes. There's supposed to be a fourth but its been years since the author has made a new one. So i doubt the story for Alichino will continue. Last I had heard the Artist had broken her hand. Could be wrong on this. But, nonetheless very cool story and very nice artwork.

Highschool of the Dead is an excellent unknown manga. Barefoot Gen is a great classic. Reiko the Zombie Shop and Petshop of Horrors are entertaining reads.

"Dragon Knights" I know of but haven't read, and I don't know if "Darker Than Black" started out as a manga first before it became an Anime. There's a really good manga for "The Nightmare Before Christmas"! :) And "Ouran" is awesome, of course (though I probably should read that again, since the Anime ended...)

This is a thread for unknown titles you know. :lol:

One of my favourites right now is Sugar Sugar Rune, it's not extremely obscure, but I wouldn't say it's well known. Gorgeous series it is. :heart: Another of my favs by the same author which is REALLY unknown is Hataraki Man, it's so different to anything I've ever read before! I think a lot of people probably wouldn't appreciate it much though because it's grounded in realism (which is really what I like about it).

well, lately I've been reading those korean shojo ones that are getting popular like "he's dedicated to roses".............which their alright, but other than that, one unknown I can think of right now is +Anima, which i don't think is pretty known.
It's a good story with these "people" called +Anime who have animal DNA in them and have animal distinctions, like wings, sounds, tails, etc.
