Tattoos are fine. BUT ONLY IF there's actual meaning behind them. Not their gf/bf's name or their face. Like something that's deep and tells a story or means a lot to the person that has it. But honestly, there's only been one person that I thought their tatts were beautiful and amazing.

Only ones I'm against are the "Tramp Stamps," you know the ones just above the pant-line on girls.

Piercings are okay, but only in moderation.

If they are what you like, the go for it. I don't care for them, and I hope for people to respect that as I respect their like for them. =3 As long as you are old enough to decide for ANY tattoo or ANY piercing (even ears!!!), then you should be able to get it...but not before you're old enough to decide for it yourself! D:

I am a very naturalistic person. I embrace natural. Try not to take medication, don't wear make-up, and I'm not into body modification at all. I love my body in its natural state, and I think it expresses all that it needs to.

I am against them for myself, but not for others. Which is incredibly sad, considering my mom got my ears pierced when I was a baby and only the backs healed. :( So, now I have piercings in my ears forever when I don't care for them.

*sigh*

Personally I totally agree with tattoos and piercings. If done tastefully they can be a real accent to your look and personality. However I despise eyebrow piercings, as they look incredibly trashy. I love tattoos, and already have a smiley face tattooed on my toe. I don't think chest tattoo's are very tasteful on women but can be incredibly hot on males.

I have one tattoo behind my ear that I got for my Birthday and my ears are gauged twice in my right ear, once in my left, and a hoop through my nose. I plan on getting a half a sleeve on my left arm and the Mad Tea Party on my side. I have other ideas too but at the moment I'm rather poor and can't afford any yet. As for piercings, I'm not much a fan of.

I wish I had a tattoo or a piercing... XD

Sadly, it's not allowed in the field I took up in college... I took up Engineering, and in there, you're prohibited to sport tattoos or piercings, though I wish I had one on my shoulder blade or on my collarbone... As for piercings, I think I'll only go for certain parts of the ear, though some told me to get snakebites... XD

I'm alright with piercing and tattoos. I have 4 piercings on my left ear and 3 in the other (I had to do it myself with a safteypin and ice) and plan on doing more.
I'm going to get a tattoo of an ankh over my left shoulder blade because I wear an ankh necklace and everytime I take it off I get sick, my mom just randomly suggested I get a tattoo.

I have snakebites, but I've kinda been wanting to take them out. I love my lips, and I think now that they look better without two rings stuck in them. The only thing preventing me is that I paid for them, haha. Plus, they are fun sometimes. I got them when I was fifteen, and I'm almost nineteen now. My aunt brought up a good point though: I'm going to take them out eventually. I mean, I can't imagine having lip piercings when I'm in my 30s o_O or even late 20s really.

I have ideas for tattoos that I've considered for a loooong time. :P First one I want to get is a jellyfish on my arm, from just under my shoulder to about my elbow, possibly extending onto my forearm. I am a lot like a jellyfish in a variety ways, as strange as that sounds! I'm going to get my amazing artist friend to draw one up for me :) There's a type that can essentially live forever by switching between two stages of development. The second one I want is a rabbit lying over an eightball with a rainbow in the background and stars hanging from the rainbow. It has a lot of hidden, very personal meanings. I'd probably get it on a shoulderblade.

My opinion? I love 'em. I'm gonna get a Fairy Kiss and a cartoon tattoo of my kitty. Oh! And a couple of cherries on my ankle.I'd probably give my kitty tattoo wings.Cause he was like my Guardian Angel.

I kinda like tattoos. But my dad's super conservative and strongly disapproves of them.

I really liked them at one time and after my older brother went and got one I thought I could finally do the same. So I started looking around for something I really liked and wouldn't just be a picture on my body but would have some personal significance. And to be honest I never found one.

But during that process of looking my good friend was convinced by a idiot friend of his to get a tattoo with her and he got "Jack Ass" tattooed on his leg. As soon as I herd that I defiantly did a face palm. The worst part was the idiot friend that convince him to get a tattoo with her CHICKENED OUT. So he got it for nothing. That really tuned me off to tattoos.

But if I do find a really good artist I would love to get a tattoo of or symbolizing my beloved dog whom I've had since I was a little girl.

i'm a extremely in to tattoos and piercing.
piercings: industrial, madonna, tongue.
tattoos: one pin-up girl and more to come.

my dad almost has his full sleeve finished.

i was stretching my ears til it went strangely wrong.

i intend on going into the body modification industry, i refuse to be just another kid infatuated by it.

I'll have to agree it whoever said it above; you post some really neat and interesting topics. I'll have to stalk them. [Kidding.]

LOVE body modification. I have thirteen piercings in my ears; six on left, seven on right.
Left ear;
First lobe 4g
Second love 14g
Three Cartilage 16g
Conch 16g
Anti-helix 12g

Right ear;
First lobe 4g
Second love 14g
Three Cartilage 16g
Conch 16g

My retired piercings include; snake bites, double clavicle / surface piercings, vertical eyebrow on left side.

I have a tattoo of tribal fangs on my hip, and will be getting a memorial for my brother who passed away on my nape on December 9th; the anniversary of his death. I also intend on getting my ears pointed. Weird, I know.

Overall, I think whatever a person wants to do with their body is fine; I like some piercings more than other, but I believe it varies on person. I also think tattoos should mean something when they're inked, but the latter can be whatever the person chooses; it's not my body.

I love seeing interesting people though.

I'm certainly going to try. It's not cheap, because I'm going to go to a plastic surgeon, 'just' a body modification's expert. I've heard horror stories about tongue splittings and the like. I just don't want to run a risk with the two most important organs on my body.

Ooo, ~ Glad you find it attractive. -Laughs softly.-

Oh yeah. That stuff is really scary. I could get my tongue splitted if I wanted. My tongue can move to different sides at the same time, and I don't have a tip to my tongue. So I would have a perfect tongue for a splitting.

Haha, sure. I wish I had the guts to do it. I'm sure it'll look great on you. Do you know when you'll be getting it done?

Not for a while now, I'm sure; I'm saving still for my tattoo [ the memorial ] and as it stands I may even have to wait until next December to do it. It's bottom priority because I'd have to retire all my cartilage piercings, and my anti-helix. I'll re-do them all when my ears have fully healed, and go elven style. -Chortle.- But the thought of having my ears naked kinda scares me, no joke. I've had all my piercings [though stretching started last year or so] since ... eighth grade. Almost six years now, if I can count correctly.

I have 3 tattoos, a butterfly on my right shoulder blade that I got when I was 16 (and intend to have covered), a red factor canary on my right wrist that is my artist logo and a dia de los muertos tattoo on my left arm which was featured in this months tattoo international! The artist was Dave Sanchez and he is amazing, I love it!

Other than the cover up, I plan to get one more by an awesome artist in Japan when I eventually get there. I thought it would make an awesome souvenir.

As for piercings I only have 2 piercings in each ear. When I see someone with tons of piercings I always think of the old Yosemite Sam cartoons when he's shot full of holes and drinks water, then all the water goes pouring out of the bullet holes XD.

aoi; Ahh, that's neat. Do you have a link to the featuring?

xilent; Ah, I see. Totally understandable. How big is your memorial tattoo going to be? Annd, I totally get what you mean. But if you are going to get them, it's only going to be temp and then you can get them done. Think of it as like a vacation from ear piercings..haha.

What if I don't want a vacation for my ears !

I expect the tattoo to take up my lower neck [nape] and most of my upper back / part of the top of my shoulders.

It's a mix between of the word 'Gaurdian' and these really detailed wings that look like they're made out of crystal; I only hope they can be shaded that way. I don't like colour on tattoos, unless they're a really intricate sleeve, which, I'll probably get done some day, too. The memorial is a mix between gothic and tribal.

Not Jacob from Twilight right? Because if it is, I can't say that's a smart idea. You'll regret it the second you realize that the Twilight series in the Anne Rice series ... but for teenybopers. Crap, I can't really believe I just compared the two. I should be ashamed.

xilent; Ahh. It seems very interesting sounding. When you get it done you must show pictures. :) I'm sure your brother would feel very honored.

Andand, to get it done it has to have a vacation!

Rawr; Yeah. I gotta agree with Xilent. :|
