Ugh, I couldn't stand mine either. I think we did ours for the same purpose. And our teacher gave us, like, 3 final projects per quarter and book assignments at the same time. >:C
Also, she wasn't a very good teacher. xD

Ah well, it happens, right? The higher you go doesn't help, either. My professor was quite possibly one of the worst educators I've ever had a class with. Most of the time she was spouting inaccurate politics and allowing slander and libel go on in her classroom. I was shocked as a first time student to see all this happening.

And, they always just pile on more work. Not necessarily anything that will really challenge you intellectually, just a bigger workload of busy-work. Most of the time, the only skill you're really developing, or struggling with, is time-management.

I'm never going shopping with my sister again.
She's takes forever and is way too picky.

@Miss Crane- I hate it when teachers let their own opinions get in the way of teaching! Especially if they're teaching politics!

That really has never (and probably will never) made any sense to me. I mean, the purpose of school is to learn about the world, or at least whatever subject you're supposed to be learning, right? Time management is just a tool, but they make it the most important thing in your "learning experience." I thought AP classes would be different. Well, I was right, but they aren't better. D:

Story time~! Best teacher I've ever had was my French teacher in my current High School, (I'm taking French 2 with the same teacher this coming year! ^_^) because his goal is to actually teach us how to speak and read French; not just learn some of the words. And the worst teacher I ever had was my French teacher in middle school, because she did the opposite. She had us do word searches! How, may I ask, is that supposed to help us learn conversational French?! >:I [/story]

Gah, my sister is the same!
Although, shopping with my mother isn't always helpful either. I'll pick out something I think is adorable, and she'll frown or make a little sound that just sends my esteem skyrocketing down.

I guess some teachers and professors lose track of what they were initially inspired by to become educators.
I couldn't take advanced placement or gifted classes in highschool because it conflicted with my French class, which I wasn't willing to drop.

Oh, that's wonderful! I was lucky enough to have fantastic French teachers. It's amazing. The very first teacher, from middle school, was incredible. I had her the last two years she was teaching, and she taught us how to conjugate the verbs, and to use logical thought to put sentences together. Even now, I can form my very own sentences and questions. Nothing is repetitive or memorized; I love it. n__n

Yeahh. I have the same situation.
And she wanted to go to SO many places.
I was like, "Serious? I just want to go to the bank and cash my check..."

@Miss. Crane- Also, I think some of them wish they'd done something else with their lives. >.>;
Lucky for me, my two AP classes don't conflict with French, Newspaper or Choir. :D

Oh, awesome! Yeah, that's how my French teacher now teaches. He's so awesome. <3 And every time I email him with a question, he replies in French. That's how I learned A bien tôt. ^_^

Yeah, I've been suckered in a couple of times. She'll tell me she's just heading down for a coffee, and we'll end up going for lunch, shopping, and some sort of grocery run, so it ends up being a five-hour trip disguised as a coffee walk.
