Have any of you heard about the series by George RR Martin that is being made into an HBO series? I'm soooooo excited about it. O_O

I loved both the Lord of the Rings books and movies. Loved the Harry Potter books but didn't like the movies.

Twilight... the movie was pure cheeese. I think the only way it would have been enjoyable was if I had read the books and been obsessed with them. D:
Also, I really don't understand Edward Cullen's appeal. I think the character is a major creeper, and the actor that plays him also looks a little creepy. Good-looking but not exceptionally so.

Taylor Lautner is lovely when his hair is short!
But I always remember Shark Boy and Lava Girl when I see him.

And Rob took Edward and twisted him too much.
They changed his character to one that isn't revelled like in the books.
Everyone is supposed to like them because of attraction.
In the movie they made them an isolated group of weirdos who hooked up with each other when they were all adopted. x_____x

@ hiri - I haven't heard of that series.

@ Korrye - Yeah, I just don't like how much they had to cut out of the movies. I do like all the effects and acting. I heard they are making the seventh movie into two parts to include more. That will be cool if they release both parts at the same time, not make you wait for the second part. Still waiting to see the sixth movie, waiting to buy it on DVD in order to see it.

you wouldn't have liked the books if you thought the movie was overly cheesy. lol the book was absolutely oozing with cheesiness. xD

I didn't know that was the same actor. Does look like him after you mention it. ^_^

terry pratchett does the discworld series, look it up, but I must admit to liking it more and more as I get older cause it isn't young adult writing.

Also, A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin is the absolute best series ever. o_o And HBO has discovered it and will be making a series out of it...hopefully. They still have to make a pilot first...

But anyways! It's an amazing series and if you like LotR at all, you'll aboslutely LOVE thsi series. I can't recommend it enough!

That theatre will feel quite awkward

Twilight was eh.. to me. I liked the concept but Bella could have been done Better & I like Alice Better as Bella or the Actress who plays Alice. She is waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more Beautiful then the actual Actress. Jabob Black (Sizzle) is way hotter to me then Edward & I love Vamps more then furries. I guess the Actor does not appeal to me as the book one did. Hollywood has a way of screwing things up. Now I'm waiting for the "Maximum Ride" (James Patterson)movie to come out. I love that series & I really hope that they do it justice.

They won't be releasing them at the same time. It'll be short though, one will be released in the summer and then one in January of the next year which is relatively quick considering. At least that's the plan but things could still be moved around like what they did with the last one.

EDIT: Think of it this way though, everyone's idea of 'attractive' is different. So for them to pick the right guy who appealed to everyone is quite literally impossible. When RPatz is clean shaven and showered he looks good (to me). They picked him because of the chemistry he has with Stewart (who I hate as Bella, she's got too strong of a presence and energy no matter how much she does to suppress or how much they photoshop her face on the advertisements).

But yeah...read A Game of Thrones. It's no child's fantasy.

KRISTEN STEWART IS SO UGLY AND ANNOYING ahhhhhhhh. I can't stand her. She is a terrible actress who sucks at giving speeches and her wardrobe choice is horrific

I do not find edward attractive in the movie...

To me Stewart is kinda monotonic with her acting. There is no real flare or emotion that I see. Bella to me needs to be more lively as she is in the books or maybe that is just my imagination.:P

You definitely should look it up! The author will kill off anybody; no character is safe! It's a very real and gritty fantasy series where magic and fantastic creatures are rarely seen.

I don't know anybody who's read it and hasn't fallen in love with it. You'll dig it, no doubt!

She is more lively in the books.
She's also a compulsive blusher.

I haven't read twilight books but I did see the movie, it was OK, I don't know if I'll see the second one.

The new director actually allows the actors to wear colors!
Bright pastels! Everything isn't a mix between grey and boring.
It definitely looks better. Less up in your face shots, less hand held. Everything will look a lot steadier from what I've seen in the trailer and the clips they showed at comic-con.
