Edward Cullen, the vampire from the book and movie 'Twilight', sparkles when he's standing under the sun. It's become quite a big joke over the Internet. xD

Even Gaia with Louie, who is also a vampire, made a joke out of it...when you talk to him, one of his random lines is, "No, I do not sparkle under the sun. Why do people keep asking me that? That's borderline racist!" (or something along those lines) :P

Yeah... I feel silly for asking but not for the reason I thought I would. I would never have gotten the joke had I not asked and now that I know... that's just stupid. I wish people would just get over the whole sparkling vampires in that series. xP

I've read the whole series and watched the movie. The whole joking and complaining about sparkling vampires annoys the bloody hell out of me. I guess all in all it's a touchy subject with me because I believe the author had every right to make her vampires sparkle if she wanted to and the whole world is giving her crap about it. xP.

At any rate... I need to get up early so I need to go to bed.
Goodnight, Pantless Wonder. xDD.

lol Yeah, I know, I guess it's funny because there're so many fans and so many haters for the film/book at the same time, and the whole thing just sort of evolved into the sparkling vampires parody. I have nothing against sparkling vampires, myself, but it's still funny whenever I see something that was 'named after' Edward for his sparkles. xD

...And I think Pantless Wonder has stuck with me. xDDD

Fabby I totally agree with you on Twilight. But alas we still have to suffer through 2 movies after this one. But I'm wondering if Breaking Dawn (worst vamp story I ever read) will have to be rated R. I wouldn't let my (if I had one) 12-16yr old watch Bella being ripped apart.

No, they'll cut enough things and conveniently pan away so it gets a PG 13 rating. Seeing how most of our target audience is about 12 years old, there's absolutely no way they'll let it get an R rating. No freaking way.

Oh Lord, I do hope the craze dies out before then and they never have to make those stupid movies. But they will. :\
Couldn't they at least get good actors?

I have to say on the whole Twilight topic, I did for the most part like the books. Completely putting aside the fandom and teenie-bopper-girl-fans, the series was good to me. I don't read a lot, or haven't and when I read that series I enjoyed it. It was an easy read and I liked the authors twist on Vampires. I even liked the following three books after the first one, mostly because it gave depth to the story and wasn't all action and hack & slash. But that's just my opinion. As for the movies... I'd be lying if I said I didn't want them to be made and to see them. I sat through the first movie and every other word out of my mouth was "They changed that!" and "That's not right!" or "That isn't how the character was depicted." But I still enjoyed the movie, minus a couple of just... strange scenes. Is it the best movie ever made? No, certainly not but it isn't a terrible movie either and honestly I think I'm looking forward to New Moon and the following movies just to see if maybe they improve a little. But yeah... there's a Yotsy Opinion for you. XD.

Aside from that... I'm well. My day has been tiring and a bit lopsided but I'm well.

I concur with Yotsy as far as the books and movies go. I enjoyed them well enough although a lot of it was a little irksome as far as their total infatuation with each other went, but all said and done, it was a good read. I thought the last book was the best one because it moved so much faster than the other ones that tended to just dote on how amazingly beautiful Edward was.

I am definitely looking forward to the movies just because I've read the books and want to see the screen adaptation.

However, I'm am far more excited about another book series I'm reading which is going to be picked up by HBO as a multi-season series like Rome. I'm soooo excited about that. @[email protected] And you know if HBO thinks it's gonna rock, it's totally gonna. lol

Speaking of books that HBO picked up as a series owo! I absolutely fell in love with True Blood then had to read the Sookie Stackhouse Novels. The Sookie novels totally took over my vampire type addiction and blotted Twilight right out. xDD.

Hello everyone ^_^

Oooh, thank you Fabby :D Me likes! How do I put it in my siggy though?

I never read twilight adn I only watched bits and pieces of it when my mom and sister was watching it. My sister is one of those ''teenie-bopper-girl-fans'' :roll: Her constant squeeling over it has made me not want to even bother reading it.

...I think a lot of potential fans/supporters were all put off by the squealing-oh-my-Gods-Edward-is-so-hot fans...>___>;

I personally rarely read any books that have vampires or werewolves or anything like that in it, because everytime I do read one, the non-humans usually always end up worse off and/or are treated unfairly. In the end I just lost all interest in reading anything that have them included. I don't watch vampire or werewolf movies anymore either.

Ouch, I think there's still around 5-8 hours left for the event? It's kind of hard to calculate it since I'm in the GMT +8 timezone and I'm a bit confused @[email protected];;

I think his dragons will probably live even if I don't post it though...they all have over 2000 views and several hundred unique views...though they're lacking a bit on clicks...only 1, 2, and 3 clicks for each of them.
