PREPARE TO READ
So, my day had been pretty good. Woke up early, talked to my dad, was tricked into apologizing to him, went to subway, headed to borders, came home, went on the computer. Now, let's stop right there, shall we?
I could not get on my internet since my internet was down. And since my computer is connected to my mom's computer downstairs, I went to reset the router because that's usually what I hate to do to fix it. As I went down there trying to fix it, my mom was on the computer blah blah blah-ing. Ugh. I reset it and headed back upstairs, after five minutes my computer started working. But then I hear some screaming from my mom saying that now her internet wasn't working.
I screamed back, "I don't know, leave me god damned alone." Okay, first off, many of you might think this is mean of me to say. NO, it's not. First off, her computer does not have a mouse. She ripped the mouse from the computer. No, it's not a laptop. She is using the arrow keys and the tab key. She messes with the internal computers setting, having no clue what to do. If it wasn't working, it was her fault and not mine. Kapeeesh?
As I was to leave to go and get Japanese food with my tutor, her screaming finally gets to me and I try to fix her stupid internet by resetting the router yet again.
BUT THEN.
She proceeded to hit my arm. Hard. Harmless, right? No. I have a temper, and it unleashed and I hit her back as she hit me as well. Then she said I was going to go to Jail/Children's Village.
My mother and I don't get along if you haven't noticed. Partially because she has a mental illness and will not take medicine. Anywaaaay, back on track..
I leave, go outside, fume a bit and then head for some Japanese back. A couple hours later I get back, and head straight for my room. Until a friend of mines comes to pick me up because she wanted me watch her eat at Ihop. I leave and go downstairs, but my mother then starts screaming at me asking where I was going. I was like, I'll be back later. As I got into the car she came outside screaming at the top of her lungs, keep in mind it's like Eleven O' Clock at night, my friend stops and we listen.
"I have an attorney on the phone right now! I'm going to send you to children's village if you don't tell me where the fuck you're going!" I was like, what the hell? An attorney can't take me to Children's village anyway, you crazy nut! I told her we were going to Ihop and all that. She said she was going to call the police if I did anything else.
What the helll. She's the one that hit me first, self defense, biaaatch.
We left, she called my uncle, uncle yells at me, I break down saying I can't live with her anymore. He says we'll talk about living options tomorrow.
I used to live with my grandma till she died so it was easier to comprehend her, but now it's just hard. She threatens to call the police on me, numerous times has.
So, today was just a shitty night.

And I'm sure all the other kids in your neighborhood lose their hair because of the stress, correct?
And that they have to end up being the adult in most situations as they watch their mother be a blabbering fool who has a perm. acid trip, right?

I don't do that, or try not too.
My friend was just inconveniently there because she wanted me to go Ihop with her and she somewhat got caught into it.

OMG! I hope you're alright I think it is a little better if you kind of did live with someone else besides your mother, I am sorry, I don't like how she hit you on the arm and that she would call the police just because of that.

If you wanted someone to comfort you, I'm sorry, I'm not very good at that. And unfortunately, a lot of homes are falling apart nowadays, so at least you're not alone. I'm extremely lucky, both of my parents are fantastic, and I really can't complain about them.
However, on the topic of mental illness, my grandmother was subject to one, and she was extremely angry and bitter during the majority of her life, and made it hard on everyone, especially grandfather (who, amazingly, stuck with her until she died, last march).
And as for mothers and computers, I think it's a world-wide law that they don't go good together. My mom so much as gets close to the computer and it stops working (machines can smell fear and inexpertise), and I'm the only one who has patience enough to get it to work again. lol.

Alright, so. I have a friend who sadly, is an only child. Why sadly? Well because both her mother and father came from families with large numbers of siblings. So they don't know how to handle ONE kid. Her mother handled it by being INCREDIBLY overprotective, to the point of being psychotic, and spoiling her ROTTEN. Her dad was much more reasonable and tried to be strict, but it essentially worked much like this:
"Dad can I have a dog?"
"No, you're too young to take care of it and it would be your mother and I's job."
*She pouts*
"Mom can I have a dog?"
"Sure!"
*Parents fight*
Next day a dog appears.
So the dad just kind of turns off. So the girl gets spoiled and over indulged like crazy! Now she's a good kid, my best friend. but these family troubles have left her a bit strange and apparently it runs in the family! We have a mutual friend who is wiccan, and my friend's mother is very christian, and, no joke, buys a ring to "ward off" this wiccan friend. This friend's mom apparently think that I have a permenant halo, over my head so I'm fine but still. I could go on for hours with stories about this family.

I am incredibly sorry, it sounds to me like you have had to deal with similar situations a lot. I really cannot offer much advice besides telling you to try your damndest to bite your tongue. Next time she hits you don't his her back, but make sure that if there is a physical bruise to take a picture of it. That way if she ever does call the boys ranch on you, you will have proof that she is an instigator.
sorry I couldn't be of more help dear ~
