Mene is sort of like gaia in the way that they both have avatars and forums, but I think that's where the similarities end. Menewsha is the better site in my opinion. The user base is very friendly, as are the mods. I'm a member of both sites, but Mene feels more like home, while Gaia is a nice place to vacation. When you're there, you have to sift through spammers and people of that sort while here on Mene, Spammers aren't tolerated.

I am not on other sites, but I hear we are like some other sites, but we reward people with more gold for talking more and don't allow spam. I guess I'd suggest you give us a try and decide for yourself?

I, personally, love it here. I wouldn't exactly call us "Gaia-based." Gaia wasn't the first avatar-based forum site, you know.

It's a pretty decent site, all things considered. More or less the upsides of Gaia, without all the hackers, spammers, and constant brand-placement advertisement. I was on Gaia for a fair while before I came here, still on Gaia every so often. Less now since they've gone down the continual advertisement path.

The only thing I dislike is that I haven't found a way to subscribe to threads as yet, so it can be a tad hard to track your conversations. Threads also don't get spammed away nearly as fast, though, so it's not as bad as it might seem.

Overall, if you like decent conversations and more interesting topics, this is a place I'd consider "better", although that's fairly subjective. :)

I'm from Gaia too, and I really like this site. There are things about Gaia I like more, and there are things about here I like more. Good balance. :)

i just got here fresh off of gaia and it seems nice its just hard to earn money is all... love the avi.s art is great too!
