Ok. I think that miley cyrus has cleaned up her act. however, she was a bad influence due to images she posted online such as the following:

there are many more photos on the internet. once you have a reputation like that, it doesn't seem to ever go away. the reason why it started is because parents don't think that their children or teens should be looking up to this girl if she is posting pictures of herself half naked online and dating guys much older than she.

If i was as big as a celebrity as her, i would have just as many, or even more screwups than shes had.

I don't really care for hannah/miley myself, but I don't want her to die..and I don't dislike her a ton. I think it has to do with the fact that people are jealous of her..but not just that. There are girls like my little sister who used to love Miley, who are now disappointed in her because of all her little "scandels"... really she just ended up disappointing people and making them upset.. either you love her, you hate her, or you just really don't care like me..

why guys don't..I know some guys that really dislike her.. and girls that really like her. Point being, she's not all bad, and she's not unattractive.

I don't hate Miley sometimes she can be annoying, but what teenager isn't? Her acting skills are not omg amazing but I've seen worse(check out the new 90210) I'd rather my little sister look up to her than say Paris Hilton or Keira Knightly who are scary skinny. Her singing is not the worst out there either but her music is fun and there are no cuss words every other line and she is not singing about how she wants to have s*x with 20 guys or drugs/drinking. In the end if someone is famous people hate because they are like why her? What is so special about her? Well she went for it xD Sure it did help her dad was famous, but if you check out the audition tapes it was her that wanted to do them. I think Selena Gomez is a much better role model for younger kids but that is just my opinion.

Precisely. I couldn't have said it better myself. While I wouldn't exactly mind seeing her fall from grace, so to speak, I wouldn't wish her dead - that's the lazy person's way of dealing with shit and it's absurdly unproductive.

My way of dealing with it, rather, is to try and just...be better. Show up her and all the other new-age Disney princesses, starting from NOTHING. I actually have the skills and I'm starting to make the connections, so...it's only a matter of getting things organized and rolling now.

My main issue with Miley is...ugh. I work in the local public library in a very boring town; we get a lot of young children who come in every day because they have nothing better to do...and there are several in the 5-8 age group who are never seen without something Miley/Hannah Montana related.

These are children whose parents allow them full access to the internet. Meaning they can quite easily run across images such as the ones SilverPoems just linked us to.

Undoubtedly these same children are also aware of the Teen Choice Awards stripper pole performance...

I don't like her. I don't like her music, songs or her acting. I don't mind the show, it's pretty funny in my opinion. But I wouldn't kill her. I've got a lot of better things to do than kill some celebrity because I'm not a fan. I guess guys don't really care about her. I really wouldn't know, sorry D:

I usually just ignore the latest teen fad.
Hannah/Miley's fandom will die out, just as it did for all the other hot teen sensations.
I don't want her to die simply because she's incredibly rich and famous.
I don't enjoy her music or her TV shows, so I simply don't watch/listen to her.

She's annoying isn't that great of a singer and well she's just annoying.

Girls get jealous really easy. A lot of girls hate Megan Fox, too, because they hate that everyone doesn't tell them that they're the hottest woman in the world.

Miley is living the dream that a lot of young girls share. Some look up to her for that and others hate her for it. I think they don't actually mean to murder another young woman.

A lot of people say that same thing about the Jonas Brothers. I'm sure plenty of teens wish their garage bands were as popular as the Jonas Brothers.

Some people are just assholes on the internet. It sounds SOOO COOOL to say that some teen star should jump off a building :stare:

I assume most girls would like her to die not in the literal sense but in the "Why can't all this just die and go away"sense. It can be very hard on girls to constantly be compared to a fake disneyized version of how a "perfect" "normal" girl should be.

Not to mention that the age group she is aimed at is prone to obsession, and, obsession is only fun if you are one of the obsessors. Otherwise, it just seems like all your friends have lost their marbles. Or even worse, that you may have been the one to have lost the marbles, and they are right to love this girl.

It can't be any worse on girls than it was/is for us guys when the girls were/are going through their "Brad Pitt" / "Orlando Bloom" / "Johnny Depp" phases.
