Lucina smiled happily as she held Adrian's hand tighter and led him to a small shop where amulets and small glass balls sat. Feeling like a young girl again, Lucina ran her fingers over the smooth metal of the amulets.

"You have a strong light in you." A gypsy from behind the stand said to Lucina as she put a hand to her cheek. "See what your future holds." The gypsy offered as she held out a glass ball and put it in Lucina's hand.

Lucina watched, dazed, as a haze filled the small sphere and morphed the shape of a familiar figure. Dropping the glass back into the gypsy's hand who seemed to drop out of a dream like gaze. "Child..." The gypsy said carefully as she looked up at Lucina.

"That's enough." Lucina said before pulling Adrian away from the stall and bringing him through the maze of caravans.

Adrian looked at Lucina curiously as he led her through the caravans, "Lu? Ye alrigh'? Wha' happened?"

"Nothing." Lucina laughed it off as she started to slow their pace. "Sorry for rushing off like that." She shrugged as she stopped at another caravan to look at the amulets that hung there. "Just strange gypsy illusions." She laughed lightly.

Wrapping his arm around her waist, Adrian held her close to place a tender kiss upon her temple as he whispered, "Are ye sure yer alrigh'? If yer sure.. I'll let it go.. It's jus'.. ye seemed a lit'le shaken, is all.."

"I'm fine." Lucina lied smoothly, looking up to give Adrian a small kiss on the cheek. "It was just odd looking into that glass." She frowned slightly, not wanting Adrian to catch her in a lie. The last thing she wanted was a fight with Adrian. "I want to see a gypsy who will tell me my future." She said softly as she stepped away from the small stand they were at.

Adrian nodded as he led her across a small path to a cart with an old gypsy woman sitting out front, a table in front of her with a deck of cards upon it.

"Hello my child," the woman said in a heavy Russian accent without looking at the couple, "You have come for fortune, yes? Future I believe? Of the young Go-woman," she quickly altered as she looked at Lucina, her eyes a dark chocolate with a small glaze upon them, a sign of her old age.

"Yes, Tully, Lucina would very much like 'er future told from th' cards, if ye would be so kind," Adrian said warmly as he led Lucina to the seats in front of the table and sat down.

"Ah, Adrian boy, 'tis good to see you again. No sister this time?"

"No, I'll bring 'er la'er," he promised.

"Good, good. Now, Lucina was it? Pretty name for a pretty girl. Are you sure you wish to know what the future holds for you?" Madam Tully inquired gently.

"Yes, I want to know." Lucina smiled warmly, her legs shaking slightly under the table as she sat. She wasn't surprised that the woman had already guessed her origin but she needed to know why that figure had appeared in the glass ball earlier.

"Shuffle these child," Madam Tully said as she handed the deck of cards to Lucina. Once they were shuffled, Tully took them back and began the spread to tell Lucina her future. As she laid out each card, Madam Tully began explaining the fortune in terms Lucina would understand.

"On the road to discovery you have found true love, hold on to it. He will be tempted. Ah yes, a great temptation of one's past will test his love for you, and your love for him. However, a caution to your future. Do not fear his seemingly wavering love. His waver will be small and will not last. In his heart, there is only one, my child. This test will show him who he is destined to spend his mortal life with. Have faith, and your future will take hold of your heart and soul and will never let it go," Madame Tully finished with a smile as she picked up the cards and put them back into a pile in front of her.

Lucina felt the blood fall out of her face at the gypsy's words. She was going to come back for Adrian. Lucina wringed her fingers delicately as they shook, wanting to leave the caravan as it had suddenly become very small to her. "Thank you." Lucina said, though her voice was a whisper considering how dry her throat had become, before she disappeared out of the caravan and leaned against the wall to breathe deep breaths of the fresh air.

"Thank ye Tully," Adrian said hurriedly as he placed coins upon the table before rushing after Lucina. Putting his arms around her when he reached her and pulling her softly against his chest, Adrian whispered softly as he placed a tender kiss upon her head, "Lu.. What's wrong.. Wha' is scarin' ye so much today? It's scaring meself pob'ly as much as it's scarin' ye just by seein' it 'n' not bein' able t' help make it bet'er.."

"You can't make it better." Lucina sighed as tears began to fall and her hands clutched at Adrian's shirt. "She's coming back and she's going to take you away from me." She said, biting back a sob. "The Goddess. The one Lori reminds me of, she's coming back and she wants you." She explained as she buried her face in Adrian's chest.

Adrian sighed as he held her close, gently caressing her back as he buried his face into her hair, "Lu, please believe me when I say tha' she will never take me from ye.." As his hand reached up to softly caress her cheek and wipe away the tears, Adrian promised softly, "Yer th' only girl I've ever loved, 'n' th' only girl I ever will love, don't ye see tha'?"

"Of course I see that." Lucina said softly. "But you don't understand the power of a Goddess." She explained carefully, her hands never loosening their grip on her shirt. "She could sing and make you beg for her like a child who wants candy. Or she could make you leave me." She said, closing her eyes as she bit back another sob. "You don't understand what happens when a Goddess or God meets mortals. We have the power to take away their free will and play with them like toys. And I-I don't know what she's going to do to you." Lucina said, her eyes never opening as she continued to fight back choking sobs that were rising in her throat. She'd only just gotten Adrian and she didn't want anything to ruin this for her. Especially not by her.

Adrian sighed as he held her tighter and continued to caress her back as he placed a kiss upon her neck, "Lu, I don't know any o' tha', yer right. But I do know one thing. I love ye 'n' yer th' only girl I ever have 'n' ever will love. You 'n' only you. I jus' wish there was some way I could prove it t' ye.. make ye see tha' wha' I say is true.."

"You don't understand." Lucina sighed, fustrated, as she pulled Adrian away from the caravan and behind a few trees. "You don't understand the power we have. If I had my powers the day we met then I could've made you and your family follow me like servants." Lucina explained. "She can make you do whatever she wants and she wants to hurt me. She wants to take away what makes me happy." Lucina said as she leaned back against a tree. "You're life could be in danger, Adrian." She said softly as she put her fingers to her temples.

Adrian sighed as he lightly caressed her cheek with his palm, his other hand reaching out to her's and bringing it to his lips. Placing a light kiss upon her fingers, Adrian looked at Lucina, his eyes serious, "Lucina, if tha's th' case, then I'll die a happy man. Just havin' th' pleasure o' knowin' ye 'n' havin' th' honor o' kissin' 'n' lovin' ye.. It's enough fer me if tha's all I can have. I love ye Lu, never ferget tha'," he added as he placed a tender kiss upon her lips.

"I'm not going to let her kill you." Lucina said angrily, her eyes lit with fire as she brought her arms around Adrian's neck. "I'm so sorry." She whispered softly. "So no goodbyes, alright?" She asked as she buried her face in the side of his neck and placed a tender kiss there.

Adrian chuckled as he gently caressed her cheek, "Lu, I'm not sayin' goodbye. I'm jus' tryin' t' tell ye tha' no mat'er wha', I'm never goin' t' stop lovin' ye. She may brainwash me 'n' make me think I don' love ye. But th' heart can' lie, 'n' it'll always steer me true 'n' back t' ye, I promise."

"I love you too." Lucina said softly as she left kisses up the side of Adrian's neck and onto his smooth lips. "Very much." She added as she rested her forehead against his.

Placing a light kiss upon her nose, Adrian smiled as he rested his forehead against hers, "Ye don' know how good it is t' hear ye say tha', love." Placing a tender kiss upon her lips, he asked softly, "Now, if yer up t' it, d' ye want t' tour th' festival? If ye'd rather return home in case she shows up so she doesn't find ye, I'll take ye home," Adrian promised.

"No." Lucina said quikcly, looking up at Adrian. "I haven't even seen the fire breathers yet." She pouted as she took his hand and gave him a last kiss before leading him out of the trees and back into the maze of caravans.

"I thought ye migh' feel tha' way," Adrian whispered softly against her temple before placed a tender kiss upon it, his arm slipping around her waist to gently pull her close as they entered the festival. "What do you think?" he asked as the gate opened and revealed the sight before them.

"Oh." Lucina gasped under her breath as she took in the sight of the festivals, overwhelmed by the brilliant colors and festival dancers. A line of young girls danced around the festival, their hips moving seductively yet youthfully to the music that played as Lucina pulled Adrian into the festival. Lucina moved out of the way for a few large men on stilts that towered above her in frilly costumes.

"D' ye like it?" Adrian asked softly as he held her close, knowing full well she did. Grinning as he spotted couples dancing in the square, Adrian took Lucina's hand and led her towards them. Before nearing the dancing area, Adrian turned to Lucina and bowed lightly, "May I have this dance Miss Lucina?"

Lucina felt her cheeks blush a brilliant red as she pulled Adrian towards her so she could whisper in his ear. "I haven't danced in centuries." She whispered quietly so that only Adrian could hear her with her cheeks a bright red.
