Adrian sighed as he pulled Lucina closer to him and wrapped his arm tighter around her waist, "Don' mind him, love. Not all o' th' folk 're strange like him. But ye got t' expect th' strange ones like him t' pop up every now 'n' again. But don' worry, I won't let ye out o' me sight. Yer safe, I promise," he added as he placed a tender kiss upon Lucina's temple, "I love ye, Lu, 'n' I'll do anythin' t' keep ye from those weirdos, I promise."

"Thank you." Lucina murmured softly as she wrapped both arms around Adrian's waist as they walked through the festival. "Oh." Lucina said as she saw a game that required her to throw darts at balloons. Leaving Adrian's side like a child being distracted by a new toy, Lucina walked over to the booth and watched a few other Irish women toss darts weakly, almost playfully, as they would stop and turn to their boyfriends and giggle at their mistakes.

Adrian smiled as he joined the group at the booth and bought Lucina three darts. handing them to her, Adrian placed a kiss upon her temple, "Do ye know how t' throw 'em 'r d' ye want me t' show ye on yer first one?"

"I can do it." Lucina smiled happily as she tossed the dart and popped a balloon on the first try. "See?" She laughed girlishly as she tossed the next one and hit another balloon.

"One more and ye can win the stuffed animal." The festival man said from behind the booth as he watched Lucina as she tossed the third dart and popped a third balloon. "Congratulations." He smiled as he gestured his arm out to the large range of prizes. "What would ye like?" He asked politely.

"That one." Lucina smiled, her face shining with pride as she wrapped her arms around the small bear she'd just won.

Adrian laughed as he placed a tender kiss upon her lips, loving how childish she looked yet completely proud of her for winning it on her own. "Congratulations Lu, ye did good. Bet'er than me first try, tha's fer sure. Have ye ever played darts before?" he asked softly. "I didn't think ye Goddesses played mortal games," Adrian added for only her ears to hear.

"No I haven't." Lucina smiled proudly as she rested her head against Adrian's chest. "But I am 258." She added quietly. "I'm actually incredibly wise." She laughed before standing on her toes to give Adrian's cheek a kiss before walking through the fair again.

Adrian shook his head lightly as he fell into step with her and wrapped his arm around her waist once more, "Yer too lucky fer yer own good," he teased with a laugh, a little jealous that she could get prizes so easily. It usually took him a few tries to get one himself for Lori when they came. Then again, he was better at cards.

"What other games are there?" Lucina asked eagerly, pleased with herself for winning a stuffed animal that she tucked close to her chest and looked around the fair. "Tell me your favorite." She said through her smiled as she looked up at Adrian, her face showing the same grace and child like features it'd held when she was younger and kinder, a better time in her life.

Adrian smiled as he placed a gentle kiss upon her lips, unable to resist how pretty she looked staring up at him. "Me favorite, hm. Ye'll find it odd, but it's a game where ye try t' catch a fish in a net by scooping him up with a net paddle. Lori used t' love th' little Koi fish ye can catch so I've gotten rather good a' it. Would ye like one?"

"Yes." Lucina said excitedly as she leaned against Adrian and gave him a tender kiss before looking around the fair. "Where is it?" She asked as she took Adrian's hand in her's.

Linking their fingers together, Adrian smiled as he led her through the crowds, "This way." As they walked, Adrian stopped at a candy stall and bought two candy apples. "They're delicious," Adrian promised before beginning to suck on the bottom of his own candy apple, trying to get the hard coating soft enough to bite through. Wrapping his arm around her waist so she could hold the apple without getting her prize dirty, Adrian led her towards a small circular stall with a a small pool in the center.

"Step right up, try your luck! Get a fish in the net and you take it home for a prize," said a man in a heavy Scottish accent. "Pretty lady like a pretty fish?"

Adrian chuckled as he gave the man the proper coin amount and took the net and paddle from him. "Would you like to try or should I?" he asked as he turned to Lucina with a smile.

Lucina smiled proudly at Adrian as she imitated what he'd done with the apple which had somehow been stuck on a stick. "I want to see you." Lucina said before resuming to eat her caramel coating which was, as Adrian had told her, delicious.

Adrian smiled as he handed her his candy apple and took the net in his right hand, grabbing the paddle with his left. Walking around the small pool in the center of the tent, Adrian searched for the healthiest, prettiest Koi fish.

Finding the perfect one, Adrian knelt down and slowly placed the paddle into the water as he held the net over the pool, the bottom of the net brushing against the top of the water. Slowly moving the paddle beneath the fish, Adian gave a gentle tap and caught the fish in the net. Smiling, as the man announced a winner and held out a small bowl of water to put the fish in.

Taking the bowl once the fish was placed inside it and handing the utensils back to the man in charge, Adrian smiled proudly as he took back his dessert and held out the bowl for Lucina to see the white fish with orange spots that had a pink tinge to them. "D' ye like it?"

"Its perfect." Lucina squealed excitedly, enthused with pride that Adrian had won her a fish. Handing the candy apple back to Adrian, Lucina took the fish bowl and held it up at her eye level so that her face was distorted through the water and glass. "How'd you get so good?" Lucina laughed as she peered in at the small fish.

Adrian smiled as he placed a tender kiss upon Lucina's cheek, "Since I was a wee lad, I've been playin' this game year after year t' try 'n' get me mum 'n' sister a fish. They last quite a long time, if ye care fer 'em righ'."

Lucina smiled happily as she licked at the caramel coating of her candy apple. "What should we name it?" She pondered as she began to walk again through the festival with her fish still at eye level. "How can I know if its a boy or girl?" She laughed as she looked at the fish. "Is it wrong of me to think that its a girl because there's pink on it?" She asked, looking up at Adrian before returning her attention to her fish.

"If it's a boyo, it's shaped more like a bullet. But this lit'le fish is more rounded, so it's a female," Adrian explained before taking a bite out of his candy apple, "What's yer fav'rite name 'n' the whole world? Aside from Adrian o' course," Adrian teased as he placed a light kiss upon her temple.

"Leres." Lucina decided with a grin. "Its the name of one of my friends from home. Or at least we used to be friends but we don't need to get into that." She laughed uncomfortably. "So Leres it is, little fish." She smiled in at the Koi before taking a small bite of her candy apple and surprised at its sweetness. "Where to now, love?" Lucina asked, looking up at Adrian as she brought the fish from her eye level and continued to walk aimlessly along side Adrian.

"Well, th' sun's almost set, so would ye like t' go t' where th' fire-breathers are so we can get a good place in th' crowd?" Adrian suggested to Lucina. There wasn't much more left to the fair and they were closing in on the edge. Unless she wished to tour the city to see the fountain in the center, there really wasn't much else to do.

"Could we go somewhere...private." Lucina asked quietly, moving closer to Adrian. "Just for a few moments?" She asked with her cheeks red as she asked, pressing against Adrian as a young Irish boy ran by them.

"Well, no one'll be in th' city. Would ye like t' go see th' fountain?" Adrian suggested with a blush, wondering if she wished to see him alone to say that she wanted to say that she was bored with him and wished to leave him, or perhaps that she was to return sooner than they had thought so she wanted to break things off before it he got too attached to her.

"The fountain it is." Lucina smiled happily as she tossed the stick of her candy apple in the trash and stuck close to Adrian's side to follow him through the crowd, her new fish tucked under her arm.

Throwing his own candy apple stick away, Adrian paused before leaving the fair grounds to buy them each a cup of cool lemonade. His arm lightly around Lucina's waist, holding her close as he wove them through the crowds, Adrian led Lucina out of the fairgrounds and into the city.

"I'm afraid th' city isn't much t' see, but it's a wee bit diff'rent than th' farm a' home," Adrian chuckled as he pointed out the different shops and inns, as well as the different homes and buildings used for apartments.

"I like it." Lucina assured him as she took a sip of her lemonade. "Its cozy." She laughed softly as they approached the fountain. "Its pretty." She smiled as she stepped out of Adrian's embrace and set her new fish on the edge of fountain as she sipped her lemonade, sitting on the stones that surrounded the fountain.

Sitting beside Lucina, about six inches between them, Adrian smiled as he inquired softly before taking a sip of his lemonade, "Th' fair gettin' too busy 'n' crowded fer ye?"
