"Maybe a little." Lucina laughed softly as she finished her lemonade and set the cup beside her fishbowl before moving closer to Adrian and taking his hand in her's. "But I mostly wanted to steal you away for a little while." She smiled coly before giving his lips a soft kiss. "All of the girls glaring at me was making me a little uncomfortable." She teased against Adrian's lips between kisses.

Adrian blushed as he eagerly returned her kisses. Setting down his drink, Adrian gently caressed Lucina's cheek as he rested his forehead against hers, expressing his fears before resuming kissing her.

"I'm so glad I'm not goin' t' lose ye," he whispered between kisses, "I've just got ye, I don't want t' give ye up yet."

"Lose me?" Lucina asked curiously between kisses before resting her forehead against his. "That's crazy talk." She assured him before giving him a long kiss, her hand twisting around his neck and into his hair as she deepened the kiss.

"I thought ye wanted t' be alone so ye could tell me ye made a mistake, tha' ye want a boyo ye met here. 'r tha' yer leavin' ahead o' schedule, 'n' ye want t' break things off 'fore I get too attached," Adrian explained as he gently caressed her cheek and looked into her eyes. "Ye don' know how happy I am t' know ye just wanted a kiss," he added with a teasing grin before placing long, tender kisses upon her lips.

"Adrian." Lucina chided between kisses as she moved onto his lap, one knee on either side of his hips. "You're a very naive mortal." She teased between kisses, her hands lost in Adrian's hair. "I'm in love with you. Remember?" She smiled against his lips. "I know its selfish but that's why I was kicked out of my home. Its who I am." She smiled sadly between kisses.

Wrapping an arm around her waist, Adrian chuckled as he held her close, his other hand continuing to lightly caress her cheek as he spoke, "Would it be selfish o' me t' say I hope they never let ye back 'n' ye remain selfish? I love who ye are, 'n' I don't want t' just 'ave ye fer a year, I want ye fer life Lu, all me mortal life. I want t' be able t' come in from th' fields 'n' know I have you there waitin' fer me."

"I want you too, Adrian." Lucina whispered, her vision blurred by a few tears. Blinking back the tears in her eyes, Lucina gave Adrian a long kiss. "I don't want to go back if it means I have to leave you." She admitted between kisses which were becoming more passionate with her need for Adrian.

Adrian couldn't keep the smile from his lips as he held her closer and eagerly returned her kisses, completly ecstatic at her words. It was beyond Adrian's comprehension how a Goddess such as she could be so in love with a mere mortal such as he, but he wasn't complaining one bit. He loved her, Goddess or not, and he meant ever word he told her. The only question was, would she feel the same in a year when it came time for the council in the sky to reinstate her position?

"Adrian..." Lucina moaned softly against his lips, enthused by his touch as she continued to kiss him passionately. "I love you." She promised as she held Adrian's hair in her fists, presing him closer against her. "Forever." She smiled happily as she rested her forehead against his with one hand clutching the fabric of his shirt with one hand before giving him another soft kiss, unable to see his insecurites through her many layers of bliss by being able to hold him in her arms.

"Then marry me. Marry me Lu, before ye leave," Adrian whispered softly against her lips, "I know they'll need you back, there's no one else t' control th' clouds 'n' weather. At some point they'll need ye, Lu.. But righ' now, I need ye, you 'n' only you. I need ye in me life, I don' want t' let ye go just yet. So will ye? Will ye marry me, my beautiful sweet Goddess? Will you marry a mortal such as me?" Adrian asked softly as he reached behind his neck and unhooked a small clasp, sliding a small ring from the chain and holding it up to her, "Me da' left this t' me. It was his mum's ring, a ring he was t' pass on t' his own son. Mum wanted me t' have it when he died, said I'd have use fer it one day. Only question is, is tha' day t'day," Adrian added as a blush crept into his cheeks and he looked at Lucina hesitantly, afraid she would laugh in his face and reject him.

"Of course." Lucina smiled foolishly as a few tears made their way to her eyes. Taking the delicate ring in her hand, Lucina placed it over her left hand and let it shine in the light of the moon as an unexplainable bliss fell over her. Wrapping her arms around Adrian's neck, careful not to send them both into the fountain, Lucina buried her face in the crook of his neck as a few joyful tears escaped her eyes. "I love you, Adrian." She smiled radiantly, looking back up to meet her eyes.

Adrian sat there, dumbfounded at her reply, "Y-Ye will? Really Lu? I love ye so much Lu," Adrian laughed as he held her close and kisses the tears from her cheeks before placing long, tender kisses upon her lips, "Are ye sure ye want a mortal like me fer all yer time on Earth?" he asked softly as his fingers gently slid through her hair to caress her head.

"I've never been more sure." Lucina smiled against his lips, finding it hard to stop smiling long enough to kiss him. "I love you. Remember?" She teased between kisses, pulling Adrian closer to kiss him deeper and longer.

Adrian smiled as he held her close against him, closing any gap between them as he eagerly returned her kisses, a small sound of what sounded like a 'Yes' was murmured against her lips between kisses.

"I love you Lucina," he whispered against her lips as he placed tender kisses upon her lips, "Ye've made me so happy, Lu. I thought fer sure ye'd reject me 'n' call me crazy fer askin' so soon," Adrian admitted softly as a blush crept into his cheeks.

"You are crazy for asking so." Lucina laughed as she ran her fingers through Adrian's thick hair. "You're crazy for wanting to marry me. But I'm all for the crazies." She teased before giving him a soft kiss. She felt a strong pang of guilt in her stomach as she realized how selfish she was being in stealing Adrian away, knowing the conflict was showing on her face, as she mulled over why someone as handsome and smart as Adrian would want her. She'd treated him horribly they day they met when he was only trying to help her but, for an unknown reason, he'd chosen to still be with her.

Caressing her cheek softly, Adrian saw the look in her eyes, that mirrored the change in features upon her face. "Wha' is it, love?" Adrian asked gently, almost hesitantly, afraid for the answer, "Are ye havin' second thoughts?"

Lucina rolled her eyes playfully before leaning forward and giving Adrian a soft kiss. "Of course not." She laughed before moving to his side and curling against it. "I was just wondering how could you choose someone like me." Lucina pondered. "I mean, all these girls here that admire you and you pick the one that might have to leave you." She said softly. "Do you only want me because you might not be able to?" She asked carefully, ducking her head as her eyes brimmed with tears. "The forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest afterall." She sighed.

Adrian frowned as he gently turned Lucina to face him. "Is tha' wha' ye think o' me?" Adrian asked softly as he looked her in the eyes and promised, "Lu, tha's no' it. I love ye. Yer not like all those other girls. I love ye because ye 'ave a mind o' yer own, yer not afraid t' stand up t' me sister, ye put up with me sister, me mum adores ye.. Yer cute when ye try 'n' work on me farm, yer adorable when yer frustrated, yer gorgeous when you're angry, but I love it most when ye smile. I love everythin' about ye Lu. I'd feel th' same even if ye were a mortal 'n' were guaranteed t' be here fer life, I assure you," Adrian promised with a tender kiss upon her lips after he kissed her tears away. "I love ye, Lu, no matter wha' happens, forever."

"I wouldn't be as gorgeous if I were a mortal." Lucina teased lightly, leaning forward to give Adrian another kiss. "I love you too, Adrian." She said softly before looking down at her ring and sighing disappointedly. "You know." She said, looking back up at him with a small pout. "You still have to show me these firebreathers." She said with another sigh. "I don't know how I can marry you without seeing mortals breath fire. Its kind of a deal breaker." She teased.

Adrian grinned as he gently pulled her in for a couple of long, tender kisses. "I think, perhaps, I can arrange tha'." With another kiss, Adrian took her hand before standing, bringing her to her feet with him. "Then, I'll show ye th' fireworks. Ye'll love 'em, Lu, th' colors 're brigh'er than th' sunset," he added as he wrapped his arm around her waist, handing her her lemonade before picking up his own cup up and leading her back towards the festival.

Lucina smiled as she tucked closer to Adrian with a cup in one hand and her other around Adrian's waist. She felt a small feeling of butterflies as her excitement for the firebreathers grew. It was a mystery to her how mortals could perform something so dangerous without dying.

Entering the festival, Adrian wove them through the crowds towards the center of the area where a crowd was already forming. Leading Lucina to the front, Adrian smiled as he saw the performers getting ready. "No' much longer, love. They jus' have t' get their torches lit 'n' get their liquor in hand."

Lucina smiled excitredly as she wrapped both arms around Adrian to stick close to his side as a breeze ran through the crowd. "My poor fish is going to freeze." She laughed softly as she held the fish bowl in her hands which were on the other side of Adrian then her. Feeling a bump to her side, Lucina turned her head angrily to face the person who had hit her.

"Watch it." A woman said though her face was clearly amused at Lucina's realization. Flipping her long red hair over her shoulder, the figure disappered into the crowd with the grace that only Goddess could hold.

"Would ye like me t' put th' fish bowl in me jacket love?" Adrian asked her with a smile as he looked down at her, not noticing the redhaired woman who bumped into Lucina. "I'm not tha' cold, rather used t' th' weather 'n' all. Are you cold love?" Noticing her scared expression, Adrian gently caressed her cheek as his expression became worried, not even paying attention to the fire-breathers beginning their performance. "Lu? What's wrong? Are ye alrigh'?"

"Nothing." Lucina said quickly, taking Adrian's hand from her cheek and smiling shyly at him before slipping her fish into his jacket and leaning back aginst him to watch the firebreathers. She slowed her breathing, allowing her heart to calm, as she tried to process what had just happened. The gypsey was right, of course. She was back and she was going to steal away Adrian.

Lucina felt her eyes mist over at the idea of losing him and blinked the tears away quickly. The last thing she wanted was to upset Adrian when she considered only having a limited time left with him. Scared by the thought, Lucina wrapped her arms tighter around Adrian and brought his lips to her's to give him a kiss filled with both passion and fear. "I love you." She said softly before giving him another long kiss and refocusing on the firebreathers which were halfway through their routine.
