"I love you too." Lucina smiled, her Goddess-like glow providing a shimmering gold to fall over Adrian's features. She relished in the small moment of perfection as the calm before the storm settled over the couple.

Lucina felt a cold rush of air over her and whipped her head around to see Kaylynn standing in front of the now barren fireplace. "Pretty little Irish boy." The red haired Goddess grinned at the couple. Lucina let out an audible gasp as she lifted Adrian's shirt from the floor and pressed against his chest. "Now why would you want to hide something as beautiful as those muscles?" Kaylynn asked, knowing full well why Lucina had done so. The last thing Lucina wanted was for Kaylynn to relish in what was suppose to be between her and Adrian.

Registering what was going on, Adrian slipped his shirt back on and held Lucina close, almost protectively as he looked at the woman by the fireplace, "What are ye doin' in me house, no one said ye could. How'd ye even get in?" Adrian asked as his eyes washed over the woman before him, recognizing her as the woman from before, "I think ye should leave.."

Kaylynn took on the most adorable pout she could muster, her face appearing heart broken. "I'm not a vampire, love. I can come and go as I see fit." She said, her power expanding and surrounding Adrian as she roped him into her spell. "You wouldn't want me to have to suffer in the rain, do you?" She asked, her eyebrows moving ever so slightly to add confusion to her despaired look.

Lucina moved off of Adrian's lap as she felt her heart sink. Kaylynn could take him away with a snap of her fingers and Lucina could tell that she was planning on doing just that. Even if it would be for a few minutes it was going to break Lucina's heart and she braced herself for the blow.

"N-No.. I suppose not," Adrian heard himself say, confusion in his voice as a headache overcame him. Forcing his gaze back to Lucina, Adrian managed to say softly "I'm sorry Lu" before his attention was completely caught by Kaylynn, most unwillingly. It was as if Adrian had completely vanished and the only thing that remained was a mindless zombie that looked and sounded like Adrian, but was hardly controlled by Adrian.

"Thank you." Kaylynn smiled as she stepped forward, ignoring the tears that were falling freely from Lucina's eyes. "You know, Adrian." Kaylynn toyed happily as she settled near him on the couch, her lips turned seductively towards him. "I know all about your problem with her." Kaylynn said, not daring to mention Lucina's name. "You wouldn't have to control yourself with me." She said through her eyelashes, her false innocence shining through. "It could be everything you want. You wouldn't have to be held down and restrained." She said, keeping her smirk in check as to not tip him off. "I know its what you want. Kiss me, Adrian." She said, her smooth lips only inches from Adrian's and her features glowing, literally, only highlighting her undeniable beauty.

Lucina curled along the edge of the sofa, her eyes trained on the two as if she were watching a horrible train wreck. How did one turn away when her worst enemy and her true love were only inches from kissing? Lucina felt frozen with fear, knowing Adrian would never be able to resist the kiss of a Goddess. The tears trailed down her cheeks as she looked at the boy who couldn't control his own thoughts with Kaylynn's spell laying over him.

After a moment's hesitation as a headache overcame him again, Adrian leaned into Kaylynn's lips and kissed her gently, at first; but as he continued to kiss her, they intensified and became more passionate, his hand entangling in her hair as he pulled her close to him, his other hand pressing against the small of her back.

Lucina felt her vision blur as Adrian entangled himself in Kaylynn's grip with no intention of letting go anytime soon. She bolted angrily from the living room, taking two stairs at a time to reach her room where she buried herself under the smooth covers in her bed. She wondered for a moment if all of Ireland could hear the ripping of her heart as the image of Adrian kissing Kaylynn replayed through her mind.

Kaylynn pulled Adrian into her for a moment longer before releasing him from her spell as well as the kiss. "She always did have good taste." She grinned devilishly as she stepped out of his embrace. "Run, mortal boy." She teased. "Go tell her that you didn't mean it. That it was all my fault. Grovel." She laughed harshly, all trace of her innocence gone. "I'm sure she'll believe every word of it." Her voice dripping with sarcasm before she disappeared into the countryside with no intent of returning.

Adrian scowled as he leaned back into the couch, his hand covering his face as Lucina's crying traveled down the stairs. Punching the couch, Adrian ran his fingers through his hair as his eyes filled with tears. "Wha' 'ave I done," Adrian whispered as he buried his face in his hands as he bent over his lap, "Wha' 'ave I done.."

Lucina felt the sobs rack her body, her small form trembling under the comforters. All she wanted was to go back to the perfect moment she'd had with Adrian before Kaylynn had appeared. When she was exploring the chiseled contours of his chest without a care in the world.

The memory brought fresh tears to her eyes as she buried her face in her pillow, begging for the pain to stop. The image of Kaylynn kissing her Adrian making her body ignite with fire. She wanted to strangle Kaylynn for what she'd done, she wanted to hit Adrian for kissing her despite knowing it wasn't her fault, and she wanted Adrian's arms wrapped around her to comfort her. Lucina hated herself for wanting him so badly when she was still mad at him but they just fit right together, as if she were only whole when she was in his arms.

Not being able to bear Lucina's crying any longer, Adrian darted out of the living room and bound up the stairs two at a time. Knocking on her door, Adrian leaned against the door as he called softly through tears, "Lu.. please.. please don' hate me.. I know wha' I did was wrong; ye 'ave every right t' be angry with me 'n' I know it's me own fault. I shouldn't 'ave let 'er get in me head like she did; I'm so, so sorry Lu," Adrian whispered through his tears, unsure if she even understood what he was saying.

Lucina felt the room turn eerily quiet after Adrian had spoken, her heart stopping in its tracks for him. Mustering what strength she could gather, Lucina stood from her bed and took three long strides before wrapping her arms around Adrian with her face buried at the face of her neck. Hot tears continued to fall yet Lucina felt comfort filling her with her body molded with Adrian's.

Lucina wanted to throw something at him, or hit him at the very least, but she felt better with him in her arms then she would with be angry at him. She took in the familiar scent of his skin as the tears slowed though they refused to disappear completely. Her hands clawed into the fabric of his shrit as she pulled him into her, silently begging him to hold her.

Adrian, who had been holding his breath in fear of her fury towards him, let out a sigh of relief as he buried his face in her soft, blond hair and wrapped his arms tightly around her.

"Lu, I'm so so sorry.. I know ye can' fergive me fer doin' tha'; I wouldn' even fergive me if I were you.. I truly am sorry, Lu, 'n' would understan' completely if ye don' wan' t' marry me.. Ye don' know how sick I feel, doin' wha' I did.. Please know, above anythin, I didn't enjoy it.. It may 'ave looked like I did, but I promise you, I wasn't meself when it was happening.. When I apologized t' ye, it was because I knew I was losing th' fight fer me own body 'n' I'd end up hurtin' ye.. Ye don' know how much I wish I could take back what happened 'r at least atone fer me mistake.. Please, anythin' Lu; I'll do anythin'.. I know.. I know I can never make it righ' again; but please let me try," Adrian begged through his tears as he held her close, one hand pressing against her back as the other buried itself in her long tresses; holding her close as if she were the air he needed to breathe, afraid he'd never be able to hold her like this again in his life.

"Just stop talking." Lucina snapped, her voice sounding harsher then she had intended. "Just hold me." She begged as she felt the sick feeling start to slip away from her stomach. She didn't want apologies or groveling, she just wanted to feel better again. Lucina pressed small kisses against the base of Adrian's neck as she felt the familiar warmth of his skin under her lips, a very reassuring feeling.

Adrian nodded as he did as he was told; anything to be able to hold her longer and feel her against him. He hated himself for what he did to her.. He would never forgive himself; not even long after she forgave him. He would make it up to her someday, someway.

Arching his neck towards her lips, Adrian held Lucina closer to him; wishing to kiss her lips, but fearing her rejection. For now Adrian thought it best for Lucina to make all of the first moves; that way he would know what he was allowed to do and what was now officially off-limits.

Lucina felt her tears dry and her stomach settle as she lost herself in Adrian's embrace, letting his warm skin comfort her. Lucina moved her lips quicker against her skin as she edged up towards his lips. She wanted to kiss him more then anything but there was something holding her back. She didn't need to have the Goddess powers of Kaylynn to know that Adrian did wish they could go farther in their relationship, or whatever was left of it. She knew that it couldn't have been all Kaylynn that had made their kiss happen; not that she suspected Adrian of wanting Kaylynn. More of him wanting what any man would want, something Lucina couldn't bring herself to think of.

Lucina took Adrian's hand in her own and pulled him beneath the covers to curl against his side. A headache was beginning to settle in her temples as the tears subsided, making Lucina wrap her arms around Adrian's waist and rest her head on his chest as she tried to will the headache away. Her mind couldn't process much more.

"Lu.. Please, I need t' say this," Adrian said softly as he gently caressed her cheek and placed a kiss upon her foreheadm "Lu, I stick by wha' I said earlier; I will wait for ye until yer ready. Please, please don' think I kissed tha' woman 'cause she promised t' make love t' me. Know tha' if it ever came down t' goin' tha' far, I couldn' 'ave done it.. The only woman I truly wish t' kiss 'n' make love to, is you, Lucina; you 'n' only you. I know you probably don' believe me, 'n' I don' blame ye; but I truly am sorry, 'n' I wanted ye t' know tha'," Adrian said softly as he looked deep into her eyes, trying to show her the truth in his words. He truly loved Lucina and meant every word he said. The only question was, could Lucina ever forgive him?

"I know why you kissed her." Lucina said, her face void of emotion. "You kissed her because she used her powers." She said, knowing full well that Adrian would never hurt her the way she'd been hurt earlier. "I love you." Lucina said softly, her voice quiet before stretching her neck to give Adrian a long kiss mingled with forgiveness and passion. She felt a slight roll in her stomach knowing that Kaylynn had been kissing him only moments before but she also knew that Adrian wanted to kiss her and not Kaylynn, something that she took comfort in as she continued to kiss her fiancee.

Relief washing over his face, Adrian held Lucina closer to him, if that were at all possible, and returned her kisses just as tenderly and passionately, murmuring apologies and "I love you"s between kisses.

Lucina sunk into Adrian's frame, her headache subsiding some as she lost herself in Adrian's kisses. Or maybe she was to preoccupied to notice the pain through Adrian's kisses. Lucina let out a girlish giggle as she rested her forehead against Adrian's, feeling lightheaded. "Do you think we could go back to before she showed up?" She asked softly, arching her neck to give his lips another kiss as her fingers tugged playfully at the hem of Adrian's shirt. She wanted desperately to forget what had happened and chose instead to focus on Adrian.

Caressing her cheek gently, Adrian offered her a small smile as he placed a chaste kiss upon her lips, "Are ye sure, me love? Lu.. I don' want ye t' jus' fergive me 'n' drown it ou' by kissin' me.. I also don' want ye thinkin' tha' we need t' go any further than we have been.. I've more than satisfied jus' kissin' ye," promised Adrian with a tender kiss, "Are ye sure ye still wan' t' kiss me like we were before?" Adrian asked softly, almost hesitantly as he searched her eyes.

Lucina sighed as she rested her chin on Adrian's chest. "Why's everything so complicated?" She asked curiously as she tilted her head to the side, resulting in her ear nearly touching Adrian's chest muscles. "Can I not just enjoy my finacee when he's not wearing a shirt?" She smiled before reaching up and giving him a soft kiss. She'd had a rough morning and all she wanted to do was destress with the help of her Irish finacee.

"Lu.. It's complicated because I've done a vile thing; I don't want ye t' jus' let it go if ye truly haven't forgiven me.. It'll come back eventually, love; I know it will.. I'll always be ashamed o' what happened, 'n' I'll never fergive meself; but it'll be harder yet if I know ye still resent me fer what happened deep down 'n' yer not tellin' me," Adrian explained softly as he caressed her cheek.

"Adrian." Lucina sighed, disappointed that they'd have to have this conversation sooner rather then later. Lucina shifted slightly so that her chind rested againt Adrian's chest, only a few inches from his face, as her hands left the hem of his shirt forgotten. "I know what Kaylynn did to you. I've seen her do it a thousand times. It just hurt more because she was kissing you." She said as tears threatened to spill over her cheeks. "I hate what she did but I know it wasn't your fault. If she hadn't used any of her Goddess powers then I know that you wouldn't have kissed her." She said, staring into his eyes and losing herself for a moment before reality came back to her. "You're the only one blaming yourself." She promised.

Adrian sighed as he shook his head, "Wha' ye say is true, love; but it is me own faut.. It's me own fault fer no' bein' strong enough t' banish 'er from me brain when she tried t' take over. I held out as long as I could, but it just wasn' enough.. 'n' it hurt ye.. I can' fergive meself fer hurtin' ye th' way I did.. How can ye even think o' kissin' me, 'n' still wish t' marry me, knowin' how weak I am?"

"Adrian, you're mortal." Lucina said, rolling her eyes slightly. "That's just how it is. Gods and Goddesses have powers over mortals. Its been that way since the dawn of time." She assured him. "I'm trusting that you would've done everything in your power to stop if you had been able to." She said softly, cupping his cheek in her palm.
