"Another day of success." Moss Haventree sighed as he headed towards his locker, letting out a small growl at the post-it note left on it. He glared at the words 'Fairy boy' written on it and looked at the other police officers in his unit, "Somebody want to confess? It's better to be a man and say it to my face instead of like a fea and to my back." He growled as he crumpled up the paper and threw it at the wastebasket filled with more just like it.
Moss hated how his parents were neo-hippies, loving the fea that threatened mankind and tainted the world. He knew the rest of the bureau knew of his family's mistake and he had to prove himself about it everyday.
He opened the locker and grabbed his street clothes, quickly changing out of them before tossing his gear in, "Since nobody admits to fault, I guess I'm working with fea. Who wants to be locked up first?" He growled and slammed his locker door shut. He was raised to love the mythical beings around him, but had turned away from that when his parents were imprisoned for protesting the quarantines. He glared at any of the guards that looked his way as he left the police headquarters and headed to the nearest bar. He needed a drink badly, "Stupid creatures." He grumbled under his breath as he ran a hand through his short copper hair. His grey eyes looked from sign to sign until he found the bar he was looking for.

Amelia Heart sat in her cell. It was padded, with stone floors and barred windows. She was in a straight-jacket that chaffed her arms and was bound too tight. It had been hours since she last ate and she had an ongrowing growl in her stomach. As the gaurd passed by, she called out, hoping to get his attention. But all he did was stalk past, his shoulder high, but his head low. Hanging her head, she walked over to the mattress that was her bed and lay on it. It was rock solid and it gave her aches all over. But, she had been here for a while, so, one got used to it. Closing her eyes, all she could thinka bout was where were her parents, what did they look like, and if they knew she was here. She gulped down a sob, and bit her lip.

Next morning Moss headed into the prison, having the job of feeding the prisoners, a job none of the other guards cared to have, making him, the guard with fairy loving parents, get the job instead. His parents were always the reason he got the rookie chores instead of somebody else.
Moss let out a small sigh when he pushed the morning cart of food into the hallway where the preternatural creatures were kept. He slid the trays of food to those not in restraints first before going to the ones with the restraints and hooking them up to the restraints on the wall so he could spoon feed them.
He let out a small grunt when he got towards the end of the ones that needed to be fed, having gotten bitten three times today, "Face against the wall and on your knees." He recited as he stood in front of Amelia's cell, not going to enter until she did as she was told.

Amelia did as she was told, getting off her bed and walking over to the wall. She kneeled, her eyes blank as she did this. Her red ringlets bounced, frizzed out a bit and a little tangled from sleep. She heard him enter, his boots making scuffing sounds on the concrete. He hooked her up to the restraints and taking out the food. She kept her expression bored and dull, her eyes lazy. She ate the food, coopertaing knowing it was easier that way.

"Thanks for not struggling like the rest." He smiled a bit after he finished feeding Amelia and set the tray on the cart before going back to unhook her from her restraints and headed for the door.

Amelia nodded, walking over to her bed once the restraints were off. She leaned against the cold wall, sitting on her lonesome bed, wondering when this madness would blow over. Sighing, she crawled over to one corner of her bed, which itslef was in a corner. Snuggling into place, she fit perfectly between both the walls. Then, she smiled and drifted to sleep.

"Haventree, we just got word that your neo-hippie parents had attempted to escape and killed an officer. They have been moved to a different facility and are going to be tried for man-slaughter." A commander told Moss as he was leaving the holding block.
Moss was speechless, his parents weren't the kind of people to even hurt a fly, "Are you certain it was my parents?" He questioned a bit nervously. The commander nodded, "We found them outside of their cells and there was blood all over them with a dead officer in front of the cells. There's no way it could have been anybody else." The commander thought for a few moments before adding, "And you're going to be on leave for the rest of the day. We don't want anything to keep you from your duties as an officer."

Her dreams were blank, just blackness swimming around her. When she awoke, there was nothing changed, the same walls, the same light, everything. She sighed, shiting around so she could get off her bed and pace around her room so she could at least get some form of excersize.

"I'm staying. I'll work the rookie duties if I must, but I'm not heading home." Moss politely declined the order before pushing the tray away to the small kitchen they had. His ranking officer followed, "Fine, we're going to be moving some of the scum over to a different facility. You can move all of them to different cells and move the ones that are leaving to their places in the trucks." He told him before heading off.
Moss ran a hand through his copper hair with a sigh, "At least I can take my mind off of this." He muttered and headed back towards the holding cells.

When she was tired enough, she sat back down on her bed and stared at the wall, her eyes dull and bored, her breath even and shallow. All she could think of was getting out, and her parents. She clenched her teeth and closed her eyes, leaning against the cold stone wall. "I wonder when I'll get out."

Her cell door opened and Moss stepped in, "Come on, you're moving to a different cell until they decide to transfer you somewhere else." He said, waiting for her to get up and move. He looked over at the door that led to the main part of the office, knowing that nobody would come to this section but him.

Amelia nodded, getting up and moving towards the door. When he closed the door after him, she followed procedure, waiting for him to lead her to the new cell.

"You're being delivered to a different facility... Can you do me a favor?" He asked as he led Amelia down the hall slowly and towards the truck the was behind the heavily locked doors.

The girl turned her head, her eyes boring into him. Her voice was soft, just above a whisper. "Sure." She then turned her head back, walking over to the black windowless van and waited for the back door to open. She stared at the glossy surface, wodering what the favor was.

"Get my parents free. They're the Haventrees over in a different facility. They're scheduled to die and were frame." He told her as he shut the doors behind him to the cells and looked about before undoing her shackles, "Run."

At that moment, Amelia almost wanted to kiss him and jump up and down. Almost. She nodded at him, her firery locks bouncing around her shoulders. Soon, she was off, her feet flying across the pavement, ripping at the horrid straightjacket that had been loosened when they had put her in shackles. Soon, she was free of the wrecked jacket and was soon close to the town.

Moss smiled as the fey ran off, glad that somebody might help him. He headed back inside like nothing had happened and continued to move fey into the truck. When he had finished he clocked out and headed out to go find the missing fey, wanting to make sure she hadn't gotten caught again.
