"So, where do you work?" Jitter asked, trying to converse.

All Hal said was, “I am a very important person.”

"Oh, ok. I'm sorry." Jitter wandered off to drool at spaghetti.

Hal watched her leave, confused. "What? What did I say?”

"I don't want to bother important people." Jitter told her.

"Why not?" Hal asked, waving her hands in the air.

"They're important, if you bother them, they're mean to you."

"Why… why do you think I’m mean?" Hal's lip quivered.

"You're not, but you're important." Jitter tried making her understand.

"So? Why are you judging me? You don’t know me!”

"But you said you're a very important person." she squeaked

“I am a very important person. That doesn’t mean anything.”

"But, but, it does if most of them hate you."

"But I don't hate you!" Hal practically shouted at her.

"Oh, well ok!!" Jitter perked up and walked happily back.

“You’re really interesting, you know that?” Hal asked, sighing heavily.

"No, I didn't, no one's been around to tell me."

"Okay... do you wanna help me out?" Hal asked sweetly.

Jitter quieted and asked, bashfully "Yes. what do you need?"

Hal held up the list, "I'm looking for... turtle food."

"I know where that is!!" Jitter ran to get it.

"Okay... I'll wait here," Hal said. And she did so.

Jitter came back thirty seconds later, turtle food in hand.

"And I need..." Hal looked at the list. "Fish oil."

"Geez, I only work here, you know?" Jitter asked her.
