School started on Monday and I've been having a hard time trying to adjust my schedule for posting in my roleplays.

It's okay, but please be sure to let us know beforehand when things like this come up. If I were made aware that you were starting school, I would have been more expectant that you might not make post requirement until you were acclimated to the new schedule. From now on, try to keep us in the loop about anything that might hinder your posting abilities. For now, please be sure to post in the game thread before the end of the day.

Basically what Kierys is saying is we wanna know every tiny detail of your life, including but not limited to: School, work, bowel movements, children, parents and the occasional rock concert/baby mosh pits.

BTW everyone, please attempt to read Kierys' epic writing above out loud in different voices. Also it makes a great campfire story!!

Nothing quite so in depth as that, Tyko, but I do want to be informed of when you may not be able to post for any period of time longer than three days, otherwise you will be warned, and I only give out so many warnings. Excuse afterward will not be enough, unless there was no possible way for you to foresee the circumstances. School, for example, was foreseeable. Falling suddenly and violently ill, on the other hand, is not. I am adding a poll, and I would like for everyone to vote as soon as possible.

Edit: As it seems I cannot add a poll at the first post, then I would like everyone to pm me their answers for the question I have posted under the "Update" section.

Second Edit: We are just waiting on the last vote, but as it stands, I will most likely not extend the time between posts. For the following reasons:

1. The thread already moves at a slow enough pace. We will not be able to really get started for another month if we extend the time.
2. The posting rule was made before any profiles were sent in or accepted. And I expect everyone to read, understand, and follow the rules. That should go without saying.
3. It isn't fair to expect the entire thread to wait for one person because they don't have the time to post. If anyone didn't think they could handle the posting requirement, then they should not apply. Exceptions will be made in certain situations, however.

If you fall suddenly ill and are incapable of getting to a computer to let me know or write a post, then you will be excused. However, this is only applicable for when you are actually ill. If you become suddenly ill on a number of occasions and have not shown any history of falling ill often before, then I will assume you are lying. I would hope you would not lie to me.
Another exception is that if something suddenly comes up, like a family emergency. I understand that something like that would take precedence.

Unacceptable excuses are school, work, and anything else that follows a preset schedule.

However, if you let me know beforehand that you may become busy because of one of the previously listed, then I will be more lenient.

So, if you don't post for five days, then come on and tell me you were busy with school, do not expect leniency.
However, if you make your post, then tell me you might become busy because school is picking up and you have a bit less free time, I might make allowances.

So, what I'm saying is, tell me beforehand. Give me notice. And if you are constantly telling me, "I might not make post count", then maybe you should reevaluate whether or not you should be in this game. The game does not change to fit your schedule, I'm afraid. So I would like everyone to think on that and decide if they can handle this. I'm not asking much. Just one post, every 1-3 days. Set aside a little time in your day to write up a post, and you're set. This is a responsibility just as much as it is a form of recreation. While I want everyone to have fun, I also want them to remember they are making a commitment, however small, to be a part of this game. And if you can handle that, I promise fun. I promise good times.

The biggest killer of a game is people not posting, or forgetting about it.

When we get a few more players, I believe this game will pick up, and you will all have more material to post to. Just stick it out through these slow periods and I'm sure we'll get on our feet.

Firemare, have you read my guide on paragraphs? Also, please watch your punctuation. I'm seeing a lot of missed periods. If you want, I could coach you a little on paragraphs until you get the hang of it, if you're having trouble.

Sorry, I've been crazy busy lately. Caught the swine flu, was quarantined for that. Not to mention just as I'm getting back on my feet and struggling to catch up with my schoolwork, I get slammed with shingles, my "time of the month," Dragoncon and family, all within a day. My Frat brothers are now officially taking bets on what I'll be coming down with next week. Going to a college with lots of international students definitely has it's downsides. As for being tutored, that would be cool since I'm always looking to improve as a writer, but I won't have time for the next couple of weeks or so. Really I've just been trying to keep my frequency of posts up enough that I don't get kicked out of the rp. That said, I probably won't be on for the next few days. I'll try, but we'll just have to see.

That's alright Firemare; thank you for informing us. Just let us know when you're back in commission. Until then, there will be no penalty for not making posts. I'm sure Tyko and I can occupy ourselves until then. ^-^ I hope you feel better. I just got my "Time of the Month", so I feel a little bit of your pain. Try to rest up, okay? I can start helping you with paragraphs when you are feeling more up to it.

Hey Tyko, sorry I've been so slow to post. I keep getting distracted with other things, and when I actually sit down at my computer, I just don't have any inspiration. This wasn't my best reply, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the others I tried writing yesterday.

OK! So, what with just getting a job and school starting for me in about an hour, I will not have a ton of time to post. But worry not!! I will continue posting within the three day limit. I simply might not be able to keep up with my usual regimen of all the time. Hope the rest of you can come back soon!!!

I return. As best I can anyway. D-con is over, family has left, time of month has subsided... Shingles still turning my back into a map etched in fire, but eh. The Universe may live. I may now return to strugging with schoolwork. I am now back in a state where I can post regularly, so you can expect me to do so, but with tests approaching, I probably don't have time for paragraph lessons at the moment, so I'm going to continue to keep that on hold if you don't mind...

That's alright dear; I'm glad to hear things have settled down for you and you are no longer infected with the Red Plague. I hope the shingles go away soon, but as I don't know anything about them, I can't give any helpful advice. Whenever you feel ready for the lessons, just let me know, and I'll try to set something up, whether in pms or on an instant messaging service. Ohkay... So I posted, since I do not have the magical DM knowledge of awesomeness, I;m making my character be dealing with the "cosmic trickster" because that's what I'm most familiar with. I actually do love history, so the cosmic trickster is something I see alot. unexplainable co-incidences... ect. if that's unacceptable just let me know ^.^;

Yeah, was going to mention that as well. I don't care if that's how your character sees mine. No offense taken! Kierys, the cosmic trickster is usually completely harmless, and only mildly annoying. Like, pulling out your phone to call someone just as they call you for unrelated reasons. Minor objects, like a tie, being found someplace wildly different. For instance, countries away in the dresser of a friend. I am trying to be careful with it, so it'll probably stick to small annoyances every once in a while.

I would really prefer it if you would keep it to a bare minimum, as your only approved character is Christiana, and bringing something into play like the Cosmic Trickster could throw the entire balance of the game off.

Right. I didn't intend for it to become an actual character, more of a force of nature. Again, taking directly from history. Again, he/it won't actually do much, just whenever an odd coincidence happens Christana blames it on him/it.

Just keep an eye on it and don't abuse PK and we're good. Directly from history doesn't mean much to me in a fantasy-based game. >.>

Hey guys, please excuse my lack of epic posting. School and work is draining me to the point of having to fight to keep the energy to even see my friends and family. I will continue trying and making posts. My next one should be much better.
