Jean timidly watched the man as he spoke. He seemed so nice and so different. He chidded himself for comparing him to Kent. They were two different people and he didn'e even know this man.

He wondered if it was really okay but said, "I-I I suppose if we leave the money on the counter with a note it might be okay." Once the man got behind the counter and smiled, pretending to be a worker Jean couldn't help but let out a small giggle.

He said quickly though, "Oh no sir. It's okay I-I I have money." He pulled the change from his pocket to show the man. It wasn't much but he knew it was enough to get a simple cookie. Sadly Kent had only given a little bit of grocery money and he had not had much left. However, he went forward and placed his change on the counter and replied, "I guess whatever I can get with this." He looked up at the man and gave a little warm smile.

Kim shook his head a little when the other offered his money. "No no. Seriously it's my treat. I haven't had the chance to treat anyone lately. Just think of it as doing me a favour." He added, pushing the money back to the blue haired boy. "Besides, that money can come to good use later on." He grinned, stooping a little lower to observe all the cakes. "Hmm...how about this one?" He stroked a strand of wet chestnuty hair away from his eyes and pointed to the cake.

Jean shuffled his feet a little uncertain but it seemed the man really did wish to treat him. He said in reply, "Okay but next time if we're both here I get to treat you." Once he had said it he realized he wasn't even sure if he would be able to. Well if he just hid some change from Kent for a while he could. He reached forward and slid the money back into his hand then dumped it into his pocket. He returned the man's smile and looked toward the cake he pointed to. He looked back up to the man and said quickly, "But that is far too expensive! I don't mind getting something cheaper."

Kim studied the price on the cake as the boy so frantically pointed out and smiled. A hundred wasn't expensive for a cake. He had had more expensive cakes, mostly flown out from other countries for thanking him for different reasons. And all made professionally and probably contained extremely rare recipes.

"Think of it as a gift then." Kim smiled. "I will hold you to that. Next time you will buy me something. But now, it's my treat so..." He added, already cutting up half the cake, half of the heart shaped cake. "I will keep the other half." He winked, already wrapping up the chocolate cake into a box. He tied a red ribbon around the box, already decorated with printed flowers and handed it to the blue haired boy, before he objected even more.

He wrapped the other half quickly for himself and taking out a pen wrote a note and a cheque with a massive tip in case they spent more and placed it a little below the till.

"There." He grinned, walking over to the coffee percolater. "How about a warm drink? It's pretty cold out there..." He coaxed, and in case the boy hesitated.

Jean was speechless and was positive he was standing there gapping like a fish. He had not had anyone treat him so kindly in a very very long time. A held back a tear of happiness and with great care took the box of cake. "Okay I'll take it as a gift and I promise next time I will get you something. Though it won't be as nice." Jean blushed faintly at the man's wink.

Jean sat back down setting the cake box on the table. He set the little bag of groceries on the floor beside him. "Yes please that sounds very nice," he said in response to a warm drink. He was chilled even though he had his jacket on.

He looked at the cake box realizing he would have to eat it here though. If he took it home Kent would ask questions and more than likely get upset. Jean frowned at the thought of getting a beating. He wondered if by taking this man's kindness if he was flirting. He did not think so but he knew Kent would see it that way.

Kim nodded his head in delight. He'd love to be treated. Perhaps maybe not with money but memory. Kim barely had any happy memories. His childhood was...well...not really a childhood. "Perhaps you could treat me to a day..." He said, but knowing that sounded a bit to forward he quickly apologised and changed the topic. People would think he was a pedo trying to get a boy who was probably no more than fifteen, sixteen, out on a day or a 'date' as they may name it.

He cleared his throat and poured two cups of latte. "How much sugar do you want on yours?" He asked, pouring about five spoonfuls in his own. Oh how he loved sweet things. He knew it was bad for him but why stress over a short life.

He looked at him and asked, a bit curious, "Treat you to a what? I am sorry I did not catch that last part." He hoped the man did not think he was rude or not paying attention. When he changed the topic Jean supposed that maybe he was not suppose to hear what was said before so he went along with the man. "Two to three please," he simply said in response. Jean's eyes went wide for a moment and he said, "Oh do forgive me sir. After you have been so kind I have yet to ask your name. I'm Jean Pierre Jennet but you can just call me Jean."

Kim let out a sigh of relief when he had realized the other didn't hear him. The least he wanted was to turn out to sound like one of those stereo typical pedos that gave sweets to little kids only to ruin his lives later on. Ah, how he was so much opposite to that. He pretty much loathed the fact that they even deserved to be on the news daily.

"Two and a half it is." He smiled, stirring both cups and coming over to sit next to the boy. He placed their cups with the tinklet on the table. When the other started to apologise, Kim's eyes widened a little. Wasn't he the one that should be apologising? It felt like it really was. Jean's parent's would probably reprimand him later for accepting a cake he couldn't possibly have afforded from a stranger. They probably feared that their beautiful son would be...well...Kim didn't like to imagine.

"Ah, Jean." He smiled, standing up and extending his hands. What a beautiful name. So french. So delicate. So lovely. Kim sighed softly, feeling relaxed for once in a long long time. "I'm Kim...or Young. Whichever you prefer." He added, not giving away his second name in case, just in case, Jean knew of him and his rank in the celebrity world and treated him any differently. "It's nice to meet you Jean..."

Jean gave him a genuine smile and stuck out his small hand for a handshake saying, "It's nice to meet you too Kim." He let out a small laugh and said, "You're really nice and it's really made my day." He thought about how bad last night had been and this was really making him feel better.

He looked at the boxed cake and asked a little unsure,"Would it be okay if I ate some now. It looks very good. I don't know where the forks are though." He hoped this request wasn't rude but he didn't think Kim would mind.

It's really made my day. Those words couldn't help but ring in his head as if they had more meaning that the words gave themAs if begging the other justice. And this worried Kim quite a lot. He found himself holding those exeedingly warm and small hands in his own firmly. He wished he'd know the boy long enough to sense when he was troubled and confide in him. But he knew he was asking for too much. Always asking too much of people.

"Ah of course!" He finally released the boy's hands and quickly fumbled with the ribbons and pulled out the cake. Oh how could he be so daft!? They must must have been really hungry. He quickly went over to the percolator, in search of forks and when he found two he handed one to Jean. "Tell you what, we will share this cake and you can take mine..."

When he held onto his hands Jean wondered if Kim was okay. He cocked his head a bit and was about to ask but he seemed to snap out of it suddenly and let him go. Jean was trying not to think about how nice it had felt. Kim seemed so nice that he doubted he would ever hurt anyone. Kent had been sweet too but there had always been a rough side to him.

Jean got out of his thoughts and watched Kim untie the box and go in search of forks. Jean had to admire how he seemed to know his way around so well. However, at the last comment he made Jean tried not to frown. He mentally kicked himself for not figuring out the whole cake thing till after Kim bought it. He looked down a bit ashamed and said softly, "I'm sorry Kim it-it just sort of slipped my mind but I can't bring the cake home with me. You spent all that money too. I would really like to enjoy it now though. I can try and repay you back the money you spent." He said it but he knew it would take a long time, a beating or both to get that kind of money.

Kim bit his lower lip a little when he heard the other speak. A habit he had whenever he felt guilty or nervous. But it was guilt in this case. He knew he was offering too much. Sometimes he wanted to appreciate the value of money, how cheap things meant a lot more than well, expensive ones.

"That's alright. I understand..." He agreed, slowly taking his seat next to the boy, blue haired, golden eyed boy. He wondered how that was even possible to have a golden hue to the eyes. Perhaps a childhood accident? But whichever way, it was both beautiful and tantalizing. "Now now, eat up! No complaining." He grinned, taking a piece of the chocolat heart with a fork and slid it gently into his mouth, appriciating more of the moment than the cake. He always felt so whole when he came here and even more now that he met such a sweet kid.

"Jean..." He started, enjoying the sound of the name as if it was a romantic novel you could never tire reading out loud. "...there is one thing you can do to repay me." He started, his eyes loooking kindly at the other. "...I don't have much friends you see. So..." His emerland eyes shied away from Jean. "...if you want, we can be friends."

Jean was grateful he didn't ask why he couldn't take it home. He didn't want to have to lie to Kim but he would have had to. You just didn't go telling people, no matter how nice, that if you brought their gift home you might get smacked across the face. Kent. . Kent just was the jealous type, he tried convincing himself.

He gave him a smile to show his gratitude for not pressing the issue. "Okay Kim that sounds good. I promise I won't complain," he said warmly and took a bite of the cake as well. His eyes lite up and he looked at Kim saying, "Wow that is really really good. I think this is the best cake I've ever had. Thank you Kim." With that he took a few more rushed bites unable to get over the taste and his own excitement.

When Kim started talking again he paused making sure to pay attention. He liked how Kim said his name, sort of like it was a present or something. He wondered why he seemed sort of nervous though as he asked his question. Jean replied warmly, "Of course Kim. I would love to be friends. I really don't have many so I would really like that." Jean was surprised at how beautiful Kim's eyes were. They were so green. Instantly he got an idea and when that happened his mouth moved having to get it out, "You know I'm pretty good at sewing and making stuff. I could make you a shirt that would go great with your green eyes." Once he said it he blushed wondering if that was too much.

Kim snickered when the other's disbelief in the tastiness of the cake. Sure it was delicious but it wasn't THAT delicious he was sure. Maybe Jean appreciated it because he barely got to eat such cakes. It made Kim want to buy Jean more expensive, more delicious cakes. He barely got to see such happiness in someone's eyes over something so little. He...he wanted to spoil the boy. He wanted to regularly see him, wanted so dearly to make him the happiest of all the boys out there. "You're welcome Jean..." He said softly instead, trying to urge back this flod of happiness he felt.

Then he paused and listened to the other too, each words that escaped those lips making him smile further and further until, again, his cheek muscles started to ache. It felt like he hadn't felt so happy in such a long long time. And that was quite true. "Well then Jean, I shall try and think of something special you might like too." He fanned his wet shirt a little, chuckling softly. "And I need all the shirts I can get..." He grinned, taking a sip of his tea and looking at the watch on his hands. Nine forty. He was sure the boy should be back anytime soon since parents usually had curfew times.

Kim slowly stood up, his six feet three body towering over Jean's five one. Not in an intimidating way but in a protective sort of way. "I think we better get moving. And if you want, since I have an umbrella, I can walk you home..."

Jean may not have noticed it but unconsciously he was feeding off of all the good feelings coming from them both. He felt relief though when Kim was happy with the idea of getting a new shirt. Jean couldn't wait to get started on it.

As he ate more cake he couldn't help but make little yummy noises. It really was so good. He stopped and said seriously to Kim, "You already got me something special Kim. You gave me this delicious cake and it was expensive too. It wouldn't be fair if you gave me two things and I haven't even given you one." He wanted to give his new friend things too not just get stuff.

Jean noticed Kim looking at his watch and he panicked inside. What time was it? If Kent was already home from work. . thing could get bad. His eyes quickly shot to a clock on the wall and his heart dropped. Kent would be angry.

However, he got even more jittery when Kim asked if he could walk him home. That would just make Kent livid. Not only would Jean show up late but with a guy. He couldn't think of a reasonable lie so he panicked. He stood up quickly knocking over his chair saying quickly, "No no it's okay I can get there by myself. I'm sorry but I really have to go. I didn't realize the time." He righted the chair and grabbed his grocery bag. He didn't want to seem rude but he was scared especially since Kent seemed to be worse now days.

{{ Oh no, well I will be here until 5 to me and then get home by 6 so yeah, I am here fer ya when you get up. But till then, sweet delights of a dream fer ya. :) }}

Kim watched silently as so many emotions played across Jean's beautiful features. And none of them were happy anymore. He looked ever so worried after noticing the time. His parent's can't be THAT strict on him could they? He could just say he met someone, which was true, and had chat which was also true.

The brunette quickly snapped out of his little thought as the chair fell over and hit the floor with a loud clank. "Wait..." Kim whispered out of the din, trying to calm the other. Gosh, he had never seen a pain and shock stricken face before. As if they were watching somone dying in their own half.

"...I don't know your number!" He called out, but it was hopeless. The other was darting into the rain, running like he was being chased by a starved cheetah. Kim soon slumped back in his seat, lonliness returning to him again. But on the bright side, he just made a friend. A friend who made him smile and wasn't afraid to speak his mind. A friend who quite frankly deserved a best friend.

He sighed and soon stemped out into the rain after draping his coat on. That was it, he would compose a song dedicated for Jean. Now that would be something special. He never had really composed a song to anyone but his mother before.

Kim looked up into the sky, feeling the rain splash on his lips, feeling nothing but warmth for once. How can someone so young and so full of warmth have such a great affect on him? Kim smiled and bowed his head, letting out a puff of disbelief. Sigh.

{{ Shall we time skip? XD }}

When Jean had gotten home that evening it had been like entering a raging storm. Kent was more than livid. He interrogated and accused Jean as soon as he got in the door. Jean tried to explain with a lie by saying he had lost track of time when he helped an old woman but Jean had never been a very good liar. It did not help that he hated lying and tried not to do it. He was worried though that if Kent knew he even had a male friend Kim might end up getting hurt as well. He didn't want Kim to ever have to meet Kent since he knew it would be under very bad circumstances.

It was the next day and Kent had gone to work but had made it clear he would be calling all day and he would be home right on time. Jean huddled in the sheets and cried. The beating he could have even dealt with but last night Kent insisted that they have sex. It was not pleasant in any way and Kent had used more force than necessary. There had been forceful sex before but never anything so violent and unfeeling. Jean was physically hurt but so was his heart. If Kent loved him so much how could he make love when all he felt was anger. Jean had cried through the whole thing which of course only fed Kent's terrible mood.

For the rest of the day Jean cleaned up himself and the apartment making sure to have the phone nearby at all times. Kent ended up calling almost every thirty minutes just to make sure he was there. Jean had wanted to get started on Kim's shirt but was too emotionally and physically drained. He was lucky though that Kent hadn't broken any of his bones but even then he wasn't in the best shape.

The next few days passed not as terrible as that first night but not much different. Accusations, a hit here or there, and worst of all cold painful sex. Jean had tried for so long to do things right so Kent would treat him warmly once again but it seemed no matter what he did Kent got further and further away. Jean felt like his spirit was being crushed.

To help uplift his mood Jean began working on Kim's shirt while Kent was at work. He could remember Kim's eyes perfectly and it was fun finding the right fabrics and buttons. Luckily Jean was skilled with a needle and the shirt did not take long. He had hand sewn the whole thing because he wanted it to mean more. Jean liked it once it was finished but hoped it wasn't too different for Kim's taste. Now he just had to find a way back to Sweet Delights without Kent finding out.

The next day Kent had given him grocery money and a strict warning to be home on time. Jean was lucky that they had to buy food and that Kent was hopeless in a grocery store. Today was the day that he could sneak back and hopefully give Kim his present. He had made sure to wrap it carefully and hid it in the grocery bag he used. He hoped his friend would be at the cafe.

After his shopping was done Jean headed directly for Sweet Delights. Jean was skilled at dressing and had made sure all of his bruises were covered. He had to wear one of his eye patches not only for decoration but for hiding purposes as well. He didn't want Kim to know about his home life. Feeling lighter than he had in days Jean saw the cafe come into view and rushed forward. He opened the door and looked around eagerly for his friend.

(( Wow you guys have lonnng posts.))
Penny walked up and down the streets of down town. She was very bored and wanted to eat something so she walked right into the cafe. She had a skull belt, purple nail polish, navy blue tight jeans, and a t-shirt that said the awesomeness on the front. She had her hair up in a pony and it had blue streaks in it. She sat down at one of the tables and crossed her legs. then she found a magizine and started to read it.

((I am going to poof me back to the shop after Cael had his way with Taurus or vica versa.))

Cael stretched in the door way and walked in, titled his head to the side and cracked his neck. His black hair fell in his face and he brushed it aside and raised his shirt up to scratch his stomach. He glanced around the shop and glanced at Penny saying, "'Sup Penny?"

Jean was so eager to see his friend but frowned when he saw a girl and a worker. He could not wait for very long but he did not want to just give up. Today might be the only day he had to give the gift to Kim.

He walked in shyly and approached the counter and asked softly, "Um excuse me sir but has there been a tall man in here the last few days? His name is Kim."

Cael glanced at Jean and yawned saying, "No clue. I have been a bit busy elsewhere so just got back. My shop didn't burn down so I am glad." He chuckled slightly and leaned back on his favorite stool and adjusted his sleaves to rest above his elbows, tying an apron around his thin hips.

He was sad when the man did not have any information but he said,"Thank anyway." He felt a little out of place but he didn't want to leave just yet. He thought it would be rude to sit around and not buy anything though. He pulled out his change glad he had enough for their cheapest item. He pointed to it and said," I'll take one of those please." He then set his money on the counter.

Cael took the money and handed it back to him, "Keep it. I am going to have to bake fresh ones soon." He took the pasty out and placed it on a glass plate with a fork and napkin from beneath the counter. "Enjoy," he smirked and brushed hair out of his eyes before scanning him up and down.
