Well, there's no problem in waiting a few years. You could also look around and see if you can find an anime club at your school or library and they might have drivers going. Plus it's a lot more fun to go with a group of friends that going alone.

north dakota, it's 16 hours home in michigan, 8 hours from home to my cousins so I figure about 20 with straight from here to the cousins

Ha an anime club, at my school. Thats funny. My school doesn't care about anything but sports. They have one non sports related activity. And it is academic. >_< My school is poor.

They wouldn't do it. I don't think there is enough anime fans there and they have no money. Our school books are older than I am. At school anyway. I don't know about the library, but i doubt it.

most otaku are video game geeks too and I've seen a fair number of video game characters at anime cons, I dressed as Yuna once
