I believe Helena is just Burton's "partner" as Vanessa Paradis is Johnny's "partner" but don't quote me on the state of Helena and Burton's relationship. I'm not sure. I don't really keep up with that stuff.

So yeah, and well if you look really close, Johhny's jaw is not as wide as Elijah's jaw, plus Johnny is wearing contact lenses to make it look unnatural... also they've had their photes taken from the same ancle, and most guys look that way, from that ancle..

Arsenic: I didn't know either, until I googled it, because I wondered why there was no one of the usual Tim Burton actors :)

@Mei - I'd venture to say that Burton's movies have been doing the same thing for so long that they are now mainstream. I'm sure people like to think that they're niche films, but they have such huge cult followings and that whole bohemian goth thing is so big, that it's definitely more mainstream than back in the day when Edward Scissorhands came out.

@Mei - A lot of people seem to hit a goth phase here in the States where they all shop at Hot Topic and idolize Tim Burton XD He's pretty big, and there's a lot of teenagers, so I consider him to be very mainstream.

I think you're too big a fan to admit it XD It's not like it's just me insisting that they're clones. It's an observation that a lot of people have made. I'm not saying anyone did it on purpose, it just worked out that way.

Also I think that too many people wanna put others into boxes, and that's why they compare, so I see why Johnny Depp is being victimized, because he is definitely very hard to put in a box, part of why I think he is a great actor, no role he has ever played have been the same, I've even seen him in more normal roles like in Chocolat (wonderful movie by the way, lots and lots of chocolate)

Also I go a bit over the top when people mentions goth or punk because no one really know what it is anymore... everyone thinks it has to be all black nowadays... but really punks was just politically active people wearing ruined clothes, security pins and had weird colored hair, and goth was a bit darker, and more romantic version of it... and less political.... no one seems to realize that now.. I don't even get why so much black got into punk in the first place, and show me a real anarchist who actually knows what the ideology is about, I'd very much like to see that
