Yeah it does take forever.
They put this cap over your hair and like pull out strands of hair that are going to be highlighted and then put the color in and wash it out.
That's how I got mine done the first time.

I very rarely go to a hair salon for anything. xD One of the last times I went (years ago), I said I wanted pretty much my whole head cut like a boy would have their hair cut. Maybe inch-long hair at best in some places. And then I asked for them to leave the bangs and the front a little longer, but nowhere past the chin.

I walked out with a Cleopatra-cut that stopped just above my shoulders. :|

I wanted THIS. D:< Seeing as I was, you know, going to be crossplaying him at an anime convention and I was too inexperienced and cheap to wear a wig. (Mind you, my hair was well past my butt before I got it cut shorter. xD Not many short wigs I could have fit that much hair into anyway!)

I had been growing it out since 7th grade, and it had literally been so long that the bottom was naturally blonde while the rest of my hair was brown. xD I was tired of it taking six hours to wash and dry (was too lazy for a blow-dryer) and several people told me the hair length might be why I had constant headaches, so I lopped it all off. Donated all of it to Locks of Love.

Now I'm growing it back out. It's almost past my chest. 8D

(Cutting my hair never fixed the headaches. D:< )

Nice. Wow. I don't know if I could've cut it if mine had gotten that long. Thats cool that you donated it to locks of love though. :) Bet they were happy with that.

It was over three feet of hair -- they're better be happy! xD Granted, I'm short and my hair grows like it's on speed, so it only took me about six or so years to get it that long. My girlfriend's been growing her's out for ten years (so she can cosplay Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing without a wig) and it's just getting to where mine was. My new goal in life is to beat her in hair length. xD It's only been a year, but mine's grown over half a foot. Her's has barely grown. I WILL WIN.

THAT IS SO NOT FAIR!!!!! I wish my hair grew that fast :P Gawd, and you cosplay. I wish I had the oppurtunity to do that too. I'd have so much fun.

That's how mine used to be.
It was very short because my hair used to be very unhealthy, so I had to get it cut off lol.

That makes sense too. I just chopped it off cuz I wanted to XP

Yeah. It's weird how some people look good with short and others don't. It's always a hit or miss. I do miss my long hair though. :)

I am back from dinner!

How was dinner?

It was delicious. *o* My girlfriend took me to a ramen place and I had shio butter corn ramen and pork fried rice.
I couldn't eat the bamboo this time, though. I think it was cooked differently from last time. Or maybe it's because I was thinking the whole time, "This is the consistency and taste of a slug."

...wow, that's a little gross. I happen to like bamboo...i really hope i don't think that next time :P that doesn't sound too bad. I just had some homemade stew and some flatbread with humus. :) hey, when you say girlfriend, do you mean a girl that's a friend or your actual girlfriend? I just wanna make sure, so I'm not thinking something that's actually wrong. :P

I can sometimes eat bamboo, but I've never thought it was delicious. xD
But oh, that sounds good! I love food.♥♥♥
