I lived in Arizona for six years...mostly in Cave Creek/ Phoenix but three months in Glendale

Oh, my... I absolutely hate it here ^^; Lived here most of my life, and I absolutely, 100% miss the green canopy-covered back roads of green, green Michigan.

@ alex: I was miserable in phoenix the first time I lived there too...but then when I moved up to montana...I pined for phoenix.

@Aneru- I went up to Michigan again for this last summer and I was completely happy the full 6 months I stayed [Yeah, I know, a bit more than just summer ^^; ] And I was heartbroken whn my mom said I had to come home.

@ alex: What is it that you hate so much...other than missing the greenery?

@ Aneru- I hate that it's dead, I hate that it's hot, I hate that it's dry, I hate that the only plants here can kill you if you land on them, I hate that people decorate their lawns with ROCKS, I hate everything, pretty much. Except for the people. Poeple are people no matter where you go, some good some bad.

@ cookie: Like what? I tolerate lettuce and carrots...kinda like peas and green beans...and corn though I don't think that counts. The only veggie I actually love is fresh picked sugar snap peas. mmm ^_^

@ Alex: Well, start focusing on the things you do like until you can move then...like art or science museums or the wide variety of shopping and restaurants....or the culture or swimming! How old are you?

I'm 17. Thanks to my parents, and my mom not letting me outside EVER, I don't get to experience all of those things, though I would love to do so, very much.

@ Alex: I lived there from ages 11 to 16...Hmm...would they take you? Or let you go with a trusted adult? Or let you sign up for dance lessons or anything?

Nope. My mom doesn't leave the house, which is probably why she weighs a little over 300 lbs, my dad is bipolar and off his meds so he completely ignores the entire family unless he gets in his violent moods, in which case he yells at everyone, gets close to lapsing back to abuse, then leaves for two or three days at a time. Yet, they won't let me leave the house with anyone but them -^^-
