A friend and I just made a hurricane Rick joke. In Harvest Moon, there's someone named Rick that we like. In the (More {the girl version has "More" in the title}) Friends of Mineral town game, he is part of a family that sells chickens and chicken care products. So we're all, "Run and hide the chickens, Rick's MAD!"

@kitty: It's a farming game. You raise animals, grow crops, and improve buildings/build new ones on your farm. One might compare it to Facebook's Farmville. I think Harvest Moon is cooler, though, because not only can you befriend other villgers, but you can get married and have a child. It's not only farming! You can also fish and mine. If you want more information, Google "Ushi No Tane."

Harvest moon is about farming =] You own a farm and you have to get so and so to marry you [out of three or four girls] by the end of it, or you lose. You have a time limit of like... 3 or four years? I dunno, that's the original, anyway.

@Alex: The game has changed a LOT. You can play for an endless amount of years (or maybe the years stop going up at 255) now. Some games (the more recent ones allow you to pick your gender) have you play as a girl, and the boy version rivals are bachelors. Your farm and the village are also MUCH larger and the days are way longer.

i would probably play for a few days then stop.
