Last night my boyfriend was over, and he decided he wanted to try some aura exercises. So we did some, had some weird reactions, but we could actually feel each others aura. His left a tingling sensation that was chilled, where as mine left a numb feeling that was also cool to the skin.

I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced the feeling of knowing where your aura is? The texture and manipulation. Or who doesn't believe in that kinda stuff.

Also if you would like to know some exercises just ask and I'll post them....

We started with simple feeling exercises. Trying to see where our own auras were. Then we did sending and feeling energy patterns. (you stand with your back to someone, and they reach out with their energy to draw simple geometric shapes on your back). It was rather cool, we both got the signal within 5 minutes. After a bit of that we tried detecting our auras with pendulums. That was alright, we both need to focus more to be able to do it correctly.

I've never heard of that before, so I've never tried it. Did it work well for you?It sounds quite fun.

Actually it worked better than I thought. Usually it takes a few months of focusing to train your aura to the point that you can manipulate it, but it took us only a few hours.

If you go to your local bookstore you should be able to find a book called "How to see and read the Aura" by Ted Andrews, it's a self-help/parapsychology. It's really informative, and its interesting to try.

A good while ago my friend told me about her girlfriend that can auras.

She said that each aura has different colors. I believe she told me that her's was teal and that it was a rare aura because it says that she is liked by EVERYONE. That that part was true. Even people that she openly hated liked her still.

She also told me that in other rare cases you could have a split aura, you know with two different colors. That in an of it's self makes you a very complicated person.

I would have really liked to know my color but since her girlfriend was a few states away that wasn't about to happen! >w<;

@E-Spy* actually with a pendulum, and a chart of colours you can ask yes and no questons to find out the colour of your own aura. It takes a bit a practice though to feel the pendulum

@HikariKuro* It's probably because I don't create much body heat to begin with, so my aura might just have been following the temperature of my body.

@Eastriel* may I ask why? I don't mean to be rude or anything. I just want to know what your full opinion is.

I've never considered using my pendulum to find out my aura colour...I've always been interested though. I think it's possible to have more than one colour in the aura, as they depict how your feeling etc. (you may agree i just didn't see you mention it ^^)
I've tried to feel my own aura, and while i can pick up on something, i think it's more the energy i create through my way of trying to feel it.
I'm fairly certain i can read other peoples though, through standing next to them and whatnot. I take on their feelings at the time, but i'm not sure what colour would relate to what emotion.

I have always wanted to try that, but my friend just smacked me over the head and told me that it doesn't work, it is just your mind tricking you in to feeling something that you want to feel. Well I have never tried, so I have no idea if that is really the case or not. :/

I don't really believe in this type of stuff. It sounds like make believe. I can accept that fact that we might have a aura, but the ability to tap into it to me seems unbelievable, more of an illusion.

@ Sun * I think, and I may be wrong, but doesn't that make you an empath? To take on their emotions?

@DarkxLorelei *If you want to try it, try it. What harm can come form experimenting with something like this? You may try it and realize that your friend was right, or, you learn something new about yourself.

@dianakitsune * Thats a fair opinion. And who knows, maybe it is just the mind creating illusions, or maybe it's actually there. Until we know more about the human brain and the what 70% (I think thats what it is.. maybe it's higher) of it that we don't use, we really can't be sure of anything.

That reminds me, I once read that we actually have the ability to fly if we were able to empty our mind, but that's impossible because we think too much and remember too much XD

I thought that was interesting, but I doubt it's really true. We don't even have wings XD

Sorry for getting off topic >.> But that's true as well ^^

Auras are a very real part of the human body, and acknowledging that the biomagnetic electrical field does exist around your body is the first step to using it the way you would any other part of your body. Training one to use it is a 'worst case' type thing; the vast majority of humans are obsessed and immersed in the mainstream world.
It is those cases 'lessons' of using the aura are written for, the 'month before you feel it' guideline applies to them.
Most would not care to learn it though. Auras, spirits, energy? That means nothing in their world of Hollywood glamour, wherer the most important thing in their lives is which celebrity got in trouble with who...

I can only sense my own aura when I feel big emotions. Like when I'm really scared, or really anxious. I very rarely notice other people's auras unless there's something really strange about their behavior that pops up.
It may be kind of awkward to say this, but I really noticed 2 people's auras in my life that I was 100% sure of feeling, I later found out that those two people were schizophrenic..
I also seem to notice people's auras in the metros or busses when I have a cold or a headache, as if their aura sort of interferes with mine and bothers it somehow o_O

I try to convince my boyfriend to try and get in touch with those sorts of things, like, our inner selves, but he usualy just laughs at me. When I tell him that I'm serious he tells me to stop and that those sorts of things scare him, that he'd rather not interfere with it and that he's not living his life to try and figure out these things.

dianakitsune, I have heard of levitation, not actual flying, that would take to much energy out of us.
the reason why people say that is because humans only use 5 to 10 percent of their brain capacity, and if humans are so smart using only that, imagine what they could do with 100% ??
I personally think that you can train your brain to stop thinking and over analyzing everything, like Buddhist monks.

apparently there was a guy, in the early nine hundreds, who lived deep inside a cave in which there was minimum oxygen and he was some sort of "wizard" and people would go to him so he could grant them one wish. That wish wasn't allowed to be money though because the man said that it was bad to be greedy. Some people would ask for things that they have lost in the past like their ancestor's watches, jewelry or other cherished things that were lost, and the wizard would pull those things out for them from his robe and stuff.

plus, there were a lot of old 'grandma's' in eastern Europe who cured people with their 'special powers' but is was really their auras giving energy to the other person's aura/curing their aura.

@dianakitsune * Well thats an interesting idea. Humans could be able to fly. Thanks for the tidbit!

@ Liros * I tend to avoid hollywood/mainstream, never found a use for it, other then mild entertainment when standing in the checkout line for my groceries.

@Zernita * With what you said about on the metro and having a cold, you said it feels like other peoples aura's are interfeering with yours. Thats because when your ill or at least not at your full potential, your aura may develope "holes" in which it's possible for the energy of others to interfeer.
I never heard about the guy in the 1900's. Thats pretty impressive. I knew about the "grandm
a's".

@ Oukan *I'm not gullible. I'm just spiritual. It's just my belief.

@naidusiuke * Your aura is an energy field that surrounds you. It's made up of multi-colours, and will some times just choose one depending on your mood, and your health.

Hmm... that's interesting. Well, personally I don't exactly "feel" aurora's though I suppose at times it's almost like that. For me, what I can feel at times are peoples "emotional" states, mainly only when they are extremely agitated over something. =/ Also, at times I can tell when people are being manipulative, and not just in the obvious ways. Haha.
