I would punch you friend for thinking China is part of Japan....and thinking we can't speak perfect English. Sorry, your friend sounds like a Japanophile and possibly Mongophile (only attracted to Asian women, yeah made up word but I wasn't the one who made it up).

I was born in China and lived there for 7 years before coming to the U.S. where I quickly learned the language and is now better than my white or American born friends at it. I am an English major and throughout high school and even now, I've been at the top of my English class. I also study Japanese and love Japanese culture and the people so don't think I'm one those Chinese that holds a grudge against the Japanese.

I am a pretty big anime fan though. When I meet the fans like your friend there, I tolerate them because I have to and try to not associate myself with them later. They give us sane anime fans a bad rep.

What to do about those?

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. And if you have a chance, hit them on the head---figuratively ofcourse.

Since most of them? ARE FAR TOO HIGH ON THEIR ROCKER.

They put Japanese culture enthusiasts to shame. XD

Luckily I don't know anyone like that, I think I'd end up attacking them. I've seen them in forums and such though (not really here, more like on Gaia). I know little phrases, but I'm not gonna like, throw them into conversation. Well, I occasionally call my friend "okaasan" but that's because it's an inside joke. I think in like, 7th grade I did chase a cat yelling "neko," but that's really the closest I ever got. XD

Ughhh, I hate people like that.

I'll admit that I used to be one... except, I'm Thai not white so it always bugged me when people first used that term with me, since I'm asian. But then I grew out of it quickly, learned how to read and write in japanese and my best friend is japanese and an Anime otaku and taught me a lot of things.

The ones who are like 30 and do that always makes me die inside. I don't know... I grew out of my weaboo phase and all the people at cons DX OMG! Like two years ago, they weren't like that then last year they were filled with people screaming "KAWAII DESU NE????" And it's like AHHHH STOOOOOPPPPP!!!!!

I haven't met anyone that actually talks like that in real life, thankful for that too.

Met a whole lot of them online in anime forums and Gaia.

I'm pretty tolerant of it, except when people start writing fiction or fanfiction in this way. That really ticks me off. I've read a few fanfictions where poor english is used and the characters are saying japanese words wherever they can supposedly appropriately insert it.
