@Starkeyy: I think it's great that your parents are also into Avatar Community websites etc. as well as you. None of my family have that in common with me. I think that they consider it weird, but I'm really into it. I like how you can share that kind of understanding with your family.
Because my parents never grew up with the the whole "new technology" of the internet, they don't understand the concept of hardly any websites. Your parents must be quite good with computers? I wonder how lifestyle also affects the users on these websites aswell as age.

My mum uses the internet all the time but she doesn't go on avatar sites, she doesn't get them, and she uses chat speak too so she would get majo beatings about the forum so it is probably best she is not here

There is never an age limit. It's a place to talk to people, not a playground (though it's hard to pin an age on playgrounds, too... and I still go on them). A lot of my friends are parents in their 30's, or are at least around that age range if they're not the parents of the group. I am in the very early 20's, and we are all pretty much on the same level. (The only one of us who doesn't cosplay at anime conventions is one of the mothers. She does dress her eight year old up, though! He's so cute.)

Age is but a number! Yes, it does make some people more mature in certain aspects, but that applies to young people who went through something traumatic and/or life-changing, too. Just because you're older doesn't mean you're not allowed to enjoy the same things as everyone else. As long as we can all get along and not start a war, what does it matter how old the person you're talking to is? Unless, of course, they're hitting on you. In which case... no. :/

My mother, who is in her 50's, plays games with me on Facebook all the time. We also enjoy a lot of the same things. I think that it's good that she's doing something that she finds fun, especially with all that she's been through! She could use sure it.

I don't think I will ever stop loving Pokemon.♥

I got my mom into this site, Gaia, Zantarni, and a few others for a time, but she has not really been active on them. She also plays games on Facebook too.

I plan on being on this site till I cannot type anymore. ^_^
Whether this site dies, I die, or I am far too seinile, whichever comes first.

I will never stop loving Pokemon either. ^_^

Well I'm in my 20's (going to be 24 in December) and I feel like I should be too old for these kind of sites but I can't stay away from them. I don't have a very vivid social life because all my friends from college live so far away and my home is kind of out of the way so it inhibits my social life. These kind of sites give me a chance to meet and talk with people regularly so I maybe going on to them until I'm old and gray.

I don't think age should matter.

Besides, I'd actually rather have a wide variety of ages of people on a site than all just teenagers. I don't mean that offensively at all to anyone who happens to be a teenager, because age is just a number, but a lot of adults do tend to be somewhat more mature than younger people, and can discuss things in a different matter. If any of that made any sense whatsoever. xD

I'm seventeen :3

I'll probably stop coming to these kinds of online hangouts when I start working, at like, twenty something!

'Cos I reckon i'll have less time on my hands!

To me, age is just a number.

I've seen people range from early pre-teens up to their 70's on avatar communities.
As long as the person is content being on these kinds of sites, then I think it's right for them to be entitled to stay.
Just as long as people respect each other, there shouldn't be any problems.

I know that I would more than likely continue frequenting avatar community sites like these, even when I do grow into an oldie. c:

I'm currently 18 years of age, I'm not as active as I used to be, but I do continue to visit these sites. -nod-

Why would it be weird to play here? Since when does having fun roleplaying have to be exculsively something for young people? We have imaginations too you know. And I like writing My friends know my age and don;t have a problem with it. I don't hide it. My grandson thinks I'm cool.
That's awesome... I wanna be like you when I grow up! XD

I really don't think there is an age limit. I mean older people sometimes have some pretty cool stories. As long as it does not interfere with your life I see no reason why you should stop doing what you like to do just because someone says you're "too old". You're only as young as you feel. =P

Age doesn't seem to matter with these sites. I've come across plenty of older people on other sites like these, and it's no big deal (unless they ACT like a creeper, then that's different). In fact, a lot of the older people I've seen have been kinda fun and interesting, and really add to discussions.

Age on the internet is just a number, I think. Not a big deal, unless, of course, they act really creepy.

And I'm seventeen and think I'll be on sites like these for a long time. They're a fun way to meet people that feels a bit more relaxed than like, a regular forum. And it lets you feel a bit younger, in my opinion. OuO

Well, I dunno about an age limit, but...

I'm sixteen, and I think that people that are thirteen are young and people that are twenty are old. But I'm sure that as I'm twenty then I'll think sixteen-year-olds are too young as well  I think that as long as you can interact with the population of the site, then you're never too old.

However, I do see the point made here. I'm not sure how comfortable I would be knowing that I'm having an romantic roleplay with a thirty year old.
