o.o compared to the population I'm fairly young ^^
Definitely surprised xD
Edit: I don't think there should ever be an age limit (as in over a certain age not younger through ^^)

That's not very fair at all- what, just because you get older, you're not allowed to like avatar sites? How is that fair? What if you started when you were young- should you just abandon your hobby because of a few years?

What about if you are a 40 year old female who plays it :O
Such a thing would not overly surprise me, as I mentioned in my previous post not that long ago my Grandmother was a DBZ fan. While I am not equating being a DBZ fan to being a Menewshan, I am attempting to demonstrate that age does not dictate a person's interests. Another example comes from both my mother and her siblings. They too have some interests which can be deemed more 'childlike'. I personally find this to be a positive characteristic they have. Indeed I believe this 'childlike' aspect of their personalities is what enables them to be so easy to get along with.
Finishing off, a person I talk to recently asserted that it can be seen as a superior trait when an adult maintains childlike traits.

And again I say, I'm 40 in 18 months time, so do I get banned or something then? Because I'm too old to be allowed to have fun online any more?
40 is 40, not 80, not dead...maybe step outside your box a little, huh ;)

Age is just a number. If someone likes is a site I don't see any reason why they shouldn't continue to enjoy it for as long as they please. Regardless of whether someone is 16 or 61 it shouldn't make a difference. Actually, I think the older people who stick around are pretty darn cool. I'm 20 and I have no plans of giving it up so long as I enjoy what I'm doing. o u o

I'm about to turn 32 and I'm still not to old. They don't have the same appeal that they used to, but I still find them fun from time to time.

Clearly, nice to know that some of the younger generation deems you as dead once you get to 40, right? Looks like we have just 18 months left then no more fun, ever...

Age is relative. If they aren't creepers, the more the merrier and welcome aboard. To be honest, I'd almost rather have an older crowd, I quit several sites when they devolved into site-wide Edward-Jacob wars.

I don't know people personally (unless you count Captain Howdy) who is older than 60 and is using the internet regularly, but I've seen many older people in various communities who prove that they've still got a youthful outlook paired with an adult's perspective.

I have never had a problem with peoples ages as long as they respect the fact that there could be younger and older people on the site. I think that the idea of avatar sites being only for early teens is a silly notion, I don't think it help the nice diversity you can have on a site like this when teens try and push out people of other ages and vice versa. I love talking to people of all different ages!

I know a chap on Gaia who's nearly 70 and he's very active on there. Actually, there's quite a number of pensioners in the Geezers Guild. I applaud these people for trying out something that's mainly the playground of the younger generations.
