Thought it would be interesting to have a thread to talk about writing projects intended for this year, though you can obviously include what has already been completed (for this year only).
So, what are you working on in 2009?
Are you making serious headway?
Do you think you can finish the goals you've set for yourself?
DID you set any goals?
What is helping you meet these possible goals?

I had meant to finish the second story in the series I'm working on, but that didn't go as planned. Haha. I'm about two or three chapters away from the end, but I started working on the third instead.
By the end of 2009 I had planned to have those two stories done, hopefully with work done on another story that's been sitting around in the back of my mind.
If I'm really productive (haha, yeah right) then I might be able to finish editing the two short stories I've finished.
We'll see how it goes.

This year I have quite a few projects in mind.
I have at least four short stories I would like to finish by the end of the year, that have been planned (and not spur of the moment). One story already has the first draft finished. And the rest already have the outlines completed or are nearly completed.
I also have an illustrated story book (that is one long poem) that I would like to finish. But while I may finish the poem itself, I probably won’t finish the illustrations since I will be digitally painting them.
I also would like to finish at least half of my first novel. I should have the outline completed sometime this week, and then I can begin writing. It was initially slated for Nanowrimo.
Tentatively, I also have a few novellas and novelettes I would like to work on. There are at least three, but at this point I’m not sure how long a few are going to be, so they could end up as novelettes instead.
I also want to write fifty poems in relation to fire.
This year I have already finished nine of the fire poems, two short stories, and a few ficlets.
Out of what I didn’t plan, I wrote a few ficlets and two fire unrelated poems. I didn’t start counting or working seriously until the last few months though.

I've got a novel that I've been working on sporadically for the past few years. Since I know that I don't have the time to finish it right now, I just try to add to it little by little. I'd like to finish a few more chapters this year.
Most of my work is usually done during NaNoWriMo. I can't keep up with it everyday, but at least that time of year gets me a lot of motivation from other writers.

I've started one recently but it's still going through major refining (I've re-written the concept five or six times).
Called the In-Between Travels of Montel Strange.
I don't usually set any goals for myself and I haven't for this one becasue it's not something I can really see myslef finishing in the near future. Maybe someday though. Definetly someday.
There are other things I am working on though, one of which is a fanfic series of short stories called 101 Things That'll Get You Into Trouble At Hogwarts.

My 2009 agenda for writing included at least getting a plot line down on this really complicated story idea I had about a fantasy world. Easier said than done, it's still all jumbled in my brain!!

Not really, I am edit my older ones, though. Rewrighting some completely.

It's not really the kind of goal you finish.
Just to write more. And to edit me stuff, and become comfortable with criticism.

Just wrighting when the mood takes me and not ignoring it. I'm trying to get some poems ready to submit to my college lit mag. Plus I need to start doing this excersize in which you write 20 mins a day. And edit after a few days, not right when writing the first draft.

My goal(s) for 2009 before the new year is to finish Anata no Koto if possible since I am at the halfway marker. Another goal I have is to start on the 2 series that i have started and to be close to the middle of the first book on both of them.

Not really, since I have two part time jobs. I am hoping that this coming weekend I can change that though.

In 2009, I'm planning on working on various fanfiction and my NaNoWriMo novel, par usual.
Serious headway? Ha ha ha, I was in the beginning of the year, then testing came about and my writing plummeted. I've been writing a bit more though, but it's all poetry for my Haiku class. Hopefully, I'll get myself in gear before November starts so I can go NaNo-ing.
Goals? Ha ha ha, this year I want to finish a novel, not just the 50k. I want to try this year, so maybe I'll find it within myself to keep writing even after the 30 days are up. What's helping keep my goals (as well as hindering them) are my awesome ideas, hot chocolate, and an inability to sit still, ha ha ha.

I have been working on my fantasy romance, The Dragons of Fraidel. Doubt I'll put it up here though because it has love scenes in it and I know we're suppose to keep it at like PG-13 here.
I really have been making better progress this year than last year.
I never set yearly goals when it comes to my novels. That's why it takes awhile for me to do anything. However, if possible I do try to write or type an hour a day. People who read and enjoy my works are my biggest inspiration when it comes to writing faster.

Well...lets see...
All of my stories, short, long, novella, etc, all fit together into one big (and I mean BIG) book. This year has probably got me working on the official chapters three and four, maybe five if I really get into it. This adds up to about 600 pages or so- I'm not exactly sure. ^_^;
I've been working on this thing in entirety for seven years or so, and I intend to finish it some day. This year will probably not have that day. lol
My goal was to have the book finished by the time I graduated high school, so that goal's been overshot. ~_~... now I just want to finish it before I die. Hopefully this will be my last redrafting of it. I've never gotten past the halfway point.
What helps me most when writing the novel is going to my Grandma and Grandpa's house in Maine. It looks exactly as I envision the world in the story. ^^ It just helps. And we're probably going again sometime this fall so the odds of finishing off chapter three are looking good. ^__^

Right now I'm working on Keeping characters in character. Even with OCs I used to have a bit of trouble focusing on that. I would have them do one thing when past examples say they'd do another. I feel like I'm succeeding, but I know I can work on it more. I haven't been very good with the deadlines I set for myself so I'm working that out right now.
Not much headway so far.^^; But the newest to fics are nearly done. Considering the fact that they're oneshots, I would still say I haven't gotten far. (They're Evangelion fics and getting the characters speech/thought down is immensely challenging. -_- )
My goals are to finish up my old fanfics, finish my newest two fanfics (they're companion fics), finally finish the original stories I've let sit as pure outlines and start a couple more original fics.
The joint story I just started on is helping me to focus. As I work on that I write a little more on my other stories, so that's helping out.

I am working on my first writing project on a story that I have had on my mind for three years now. I have been trying to start and also work on it, though I have had a lot of time taken from college and a part time job but now that I am unemployed and a Full time student I can now spend some of my time on my project. I am hoping to take it serious and finish it by the end of 2010. Though i will need to set serious goals and deadlines to help myself finish on time.

Well currently I'm working on a trilogy that I started this year. The first book is planned but I haven't started an outline for the second book. I want to see where the first book takes me.
I'm also working on, still, at series of book (5 books total) that I started years ago. I have the first book finished, I'm just editing it.
I don't know if I'll get what I want done this year, with all the school papers I have to work on. With school and work, it's hard to find time to write.
