Thanks! I thought of magicians, and I thought, what if it was even more than just a hat? What if it had changed this man's life? And then it just came.

Well it's really cute. There are so many cute ideas being posted on here about top hats I might just be tempted to buy a top hat. I didn't even think of magicians when I did mine. That's kinda surprising.

I wish I had a tophat. I think they are some of the coolest hats ever.
Also, thanks for your entry fairywaif! In the end it's all about fun.
Oooo, almost round three!

This is the first time I've done one of these but they are pretty fun. It's even better since we have to do it in a certain amount of words. It makes it more of a challenge.

Well, I'm glad you're having fun!
Are you going to ever have honorable mentions? Because I see a lot of good stories here, and I feel kind of bad that only one will win and the others don't at least get some acknowledgment. Just an idea.

My aunt is making me a mini-top-hat with lace and feathers on it to go with my kodona lolita look. I wanted to buy one but it was 30 dollars!

@fairywaif:
I try to mention everyone in my little "Previous Winner's" post. I'll think about the HM because it's not really a bad idea. The reason I only have one winner right now is because this is an on-going event and people are going to have plenty of chances to win.
But I'll think about it. =]
Round Three is up everybody! <3

Title: Don't Talk To Strangers
Drabble:
Mama always said, “Don’t talk to strangers.”
I wish I would have taken her seriously.
What are you supposed to do when a man you think is supposed to protect you turns out to be your enemy? Policemen are supposed to protect us, but even they can be corrupt.
I had never seen him in town before. All I had done was drawn a picture in chalk outside the local store. No one was around. He came up all angry and asked my name and where I lived. I was forced into his police car. That was twelve years ago.

Title: The Stranger In The Woods
Drabble: Down in the lush green woods a little Pixie once lived. Now this Pixie was a pretty thing, all little and cute and full of life. She loved to dance and to show her skills to lost travellers before helping them on their way.
Sadly a stranger had moved nearby, a wicked evil stranger! This stranger would jump out before the poor pixie and take lost travellers into muddy bogs!
The pixie lost control! She attacked the stranger with a boulder! She had bludgeoned the poor stranger to death!
The stranger lay rotting, never seen again.
The stranger was me!

Damn....i started writing and got 193 words when done. >< then tried to cut it down, but only to 163. >< This was difficult. Well cut down a lot. Some of it seems off...and I hope it's alright if I did some grammer bending. "300" takes less words than "three hundred". ><
If you want to see the original, let me know.

The Fee
"Well, hi there, strangers. I reckon you and the little lady-"
"We are only in need of a ferry to cross the river. How much to cross over?"
"300 credits." The ferryman grinned.
"300?! I could get two first class tickets on a luxery-liner!.....One hundred."
The ferryman only smiled.
"Fine." He pulled a ring from his thumb and handed it to the man. "Here. This is worth three times that....just let us on."
The ferryman took the ring and inspected it for a moment before he pocketed the ring. "Welcome aboard." He moved to the side, letting the two pass.

Btw, gratz Nanami!

I liked my idea about a pixie killing a friend of the forest, it seemed the sort of thing that a mentally challenged pixie who lived alone should do! >.<

@Amelyani:
Well now that I've got death on the mind, was the ferryman meant to be Charon or was he just some ferryman with a taste for money?
Also, thanks for entering again!

Strangers usually are a bit foreboding. That's why we're told not to talk to them after all. I still can't believe I won the last round. I have become so proud of that little snippet of text. xD

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm just surprised it went this way because Stranger was my first drabble prompt and no one in that challenge actually made it go the darker route. It's interesting to see how differently people can take the same prompt.
Haha, as you should be Nanami! =D

@Noroli: not really. I just have Firefly and old westerns on the brain. Lol. But that is a neat interpretation on it.

Primary colors; the basis of every color in the rainbow and the world. There are hues and values of all the colors. There are two "warm" colors and only one "cool" color though when they are combined they make up both warm and cool colors. The way that the colors are put next to each other also depict whether they are warm or cool. For example purple can look cool against red and warm against blue. This matters when you want to depict a certain look in a room or set of rooms in a living environment. That's the end.

Okay, this is my first attempt at something like this.
Title: Something Stranger
Drabble
Twelve nights to go.
Twelve night until the laughing way opens up and brings something stranger. The wind created the whisper, created the laughter, created the sound of leaves rustling in symphony. But something stranger this way comes. Beckoned by the sounds the wind already created. Something newer, something different. Something stranger twists on the breeze, floating down to earth. Something broken, something creeping, something changing.
With the wind, something stranger comes. Slipping between the willows and the palms.
It speaks, "Wicked, wicked little children."
It laughs.
But we are safe for just twelve more nights- until something stranger comes.

Drabble
The stranger
The stranger sat on my porch, in his hand a wood box with my name carved into it. I walked slowly to the man. He was wearing a yellow rain coat, he had a kind smile. as i got closer he told me don't worry i come here to give you a gift. He handed me the box and said "here take this and remember your mother and i love you" then with a blink of an eye he vanished. In the box were 2 things; pictures, and an newspaper article reporting the death of my parents when i was 1 .
