Have you ever met that *one* person who claims to always be on their period, just as an excuse to be a bitch? Or those people who think, "Oh she must be on her period!" just because she's a bitch?

Well, one day when I lived in massachuttess, someone had started telling everyone to stay away from me because I was on my period. It started becasue I disagreeded with him saying that the food there was bad. After that people gave me that, "OMGEW!" or, "Bitch /glares daggers" looks. I wasn't even on my period, OR being mean. (This was when I was like, 10-12. Can't remember when.)

Are you that kind of person who, in honesty, becomes the one person you don't want to be around when that time rolls around? I know I am. I have PMDD, and I *have* to take my birthcontrol or else I become, well, the most confrontational, over-the-edge, in-your-face, fuck-you, kind of person. It's really not nice. Not only do I become horrendously mean, but the cramps are unbareable.

So, women of the Mene GD, are you that one person you don't want to be around?
Do you use horrible excuses to be mean?
Does someone you know use that excuse to be mean?
Has someone ever said you were on your period, for a tiny comment?
Do you have PMDD, or just horrible PMS?
Do you have insane cramps?
Are you one of those lucky ones who don't have one, or either?

I'm never mean to anyone, regardless of the time of the month. Even during my pregnancy, I was always calm. I'm only ever "mean" to my fiance's best friend, but he's an idiot. lol My cramps do suck though.

The only side-effect of me being on my period is that my lower back hurts and I get headaches easier. Other than that, I'm perfectly pleasant and normal, thank goodness.

I hear what you're saying, though. I know one girl who seems like she's always on her period. It seems like every time she snaps at someone she'll say, "Oh, sorry, I'm PMSing." She uses it as an excuse to act like a bitch, and it gets really annoying.

Another thing that bothers me: I'm a very easy-going person, very laid-back, etc. I almost NEVER get angry or snap at people. There's this one guy I hang out with that really gets on my nerves, though, because if there DOES come a time where I snap at someone, he'll say, "Oh, it's SOMEONE'S time of the month!"
Chances are, when he says that, I'm NOT on my period. I'm on the Depo Provera needle, so I only get my period once every two months, for 3 days. Therefore it's pretty unlikely that he says that while I'm on it.
About 95% of the time, I'm snapping at him because he's a cocky, obnoxious person who thinks he knows everything when he doesn't. Very annoying.

Huh? PMS mood swings aren't just a myth? Whoa, crazy. o_o;

I always just thought they were a made-up excuse some people used to act like a psychobitch and get away with it... I mean, I get cramps and sometimes like to be left alone, but I've never known anyone who actually had legitimate mood swings regularly on or before their period. I'm pretty sure most people just use it as an excuse... I know if I knew I was going to actually be really irritable I'd do my best to warn people ahead of time and try to avoid being around them too much.

Sir Cramps oh how I hate you. *shakes fist* They get really bad sometimes where I am almost like moaning in pain. It's ridiculous. But thankfully this is only on the day of / start of my period and does not last for the few days I am on it.

No one has ever thrust the "You are PMSing aren't you?" type of comments at me before and I haven't ever thrust that at someone. Nor have I ever brought up my period as a way out of something I might have harshly said.

I've met people like that though. I think it is kinda sad and pathetic how many people use their period as an excuse for their actions. Just because someone is on their period does not mean they transform into some totally different or out-of-control person. Sheesh. The person is still the same as they have ever been such as maybe they get emotional about things in life, then of course they will be the same on their period.

@ PhantomLolita - Lucky Ducky. ):<

@ Kurai Amaya - You know some annoying people. I'd probably punch the girl... And just get the hell away from the guy. People like that... Argh. They never consider that they're just outrageously annoying.

@ Endless Sky - Nahhh. Though, in some cases, it is. I *try* not to be a giant bitch, but... Sometimes I just snap. Even at little things. Then a few days later I think, "WOAH. Why was I so mean!? Wtf is wrong with me! D8<" It's a lose-lose situation. You're mean, then you beat yourself up because you were mean.

@ cole the destroyer - D: Sir Cramps is indeed a horrible man... I'd die if someone made an account of that just to post here. XD Mine switch between moaning and crying.

My friends ALWAYS use it as an excuse. Some... Aren't even old enough to have their period! I don't mention that it's my period... most of the time, if it's a close friend. It's a bit personal. But I ALWAYS apologize.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that people don't go out of control, there are conditions that cause people to do... Drastic? things.

I think it's just my personality. I'm pretty passive. The rest of the females in my family are insane and loud, which is probably why I'm so quiet.

No I never say that, I don't often hear girls use that as an excuse.
People like that aggravate me, I mean they really need to grow up.
I wouldn't say that about someone, and I'd be annoyed if I heard someone talk like that.
"That girls is such a bitch, she must on her period"
I just find that kind of talk....rude, immature, and offensive.

I get slightly, and weirdly like pissy at everything like 3 days before, and i just stay in that ... fuck you mode. .. .like The slightest thing just will annoy me... Either im Oddly, pissy, but I think the Word upset works better, Like sad and Angry, Just upset.. Its only for a little though. Its not like massive either, its only there slightly, and I can control it when im with people, for the most part.

I'm usually fine during my periods. Sure, the cramps are terrible, but its no reason to take it out on anyone. I just usually lounge on the couch in fetal position eating salsa and chips. Sure Im a little testy but I dont go off being a bitch because someone disagreed with me on a small thing. I think the mood swing theory only goes to very few people because I've never seen anyone with moodswings. EVER.

I only know two people who get moodswings when they are on their periods, and those are my sisters. They tend to have the worse moodswings ever when they get theirs. One minute, they will be happy - next they will be bitching and whining about something, than they will be happy again.
It's crazy, I don't really have mood swings. If I do, it's usually just like a sad feeling but that's only when I get really bad cramps. I can ignore the smaller cramps.

PMS or PMDD isn't as common as some people think.

I personally RARELY ever experience any PMS symptoms and if I do, they don't last too long and aren't severe. The most I experience while being on my period is a sense of fatigue and bloating, not to mention a new breakout or two on my face.

I may not want to do some things I normally would, especially if I'm feeling like a blimp, but I can honestly say I do not remember the last time I felt anything like PMS.

Yeah I do get a bit bitchy, and easy to piss off when on my period, but it hurts so much I simply can't think nice thoughts at all.

That's not an excuse though and I honestly try not to bite peoples heads off

hmm... Some cramping (varying degrees), I'm a little more irratible, and I have like 0 energy.

Never really bad mood swings.

Then again, my friends know that if I have something to say, I'll say it. I don't give a damn if it hurts, as long as it's true. I'll work out whats going on with you, but I wont hide how I feel or what I think. On or Off my period.

I PMS horribly. Not in the bitch sense, but in the crying over every little thing sense. It is so god-awful. But I am pregnant now, and I haven't had in my period in like 6 months, which is so heavenly, except for the fact that now I am over emotional just like PMSing. The other day, I cryed because we ran out of french toast sticks! So I used to use the period excuse, now it's just yeah well I am pregnant. Hopefully I will always have an excuse because I hate crying over frozen breakfast foods! Lol..

Unfortunately, if I don't stay on 'the pill' I don't have a period. But having my period means I get slightly more moody, and am more sensitive than I normally am, which annoys everyone to no end.
Sometimes I get clingy too, but I'm the passive end of menstrual-related mood swings.

I know a few people who use their period constantly as an excuse to be assholes. Drives me up a wall. >__<;

Me, I'll admit I get a bit irritable around...then, but I at least TRY and fight it and be a normal functioning member of society...unlike some people I know. And hey, it works; often even my best friends can't tell. Luckily I have very good control over my emotions.

But...those who work with me can always tell, unfortunately; I get cramps so bad it sometimes makes me throw up. I actually had to be sent home from work once; it was awful.
I don't want to go on birth control pills because of the side effects and possible long-term effects, though. >__<; So I'm kinda stuck there.

Ah well.

I definitely can relate. Even with birth control, I know I'm fairly unbearable. I always feel bad, but feel as if I can't help it. I'm almost always tempted to lock myself away for a few days so I don't say anything hurtful. Haha.

Also, before birth control, the cramps were so bad that they'd buckle my knees, make me cry. Intensity. I'm so happy I have the pill. Haha.

My period is actually pretty easy. Light, quick, pretty painless. Sure, I'm not at my best, but I'm not that bad either. I do get a bit more touchy and cry easily, but I never get bitchy. Just emo. xD I cried over spilled water once during PMS.

I don't have many issues except for the occasional mild cramps, but I do tend to have a shorter temper (much to my boyfriend's dismay. :P ) I'm normally pretty bitchy anyways, so it's not like I'm that difference.

i'm way too easily embarassed, which is a serious problem when it's that time of the month. i live with my dad, and i get more easily angered then. once i got it a few days before we went to my uncle's to swim, and dad knew. but he so didn't get it. he said "if it's only a little it's-" and before he could say 'fine', i flushed red and shouted "SHUT UP!"...he did. i just about die every time he brings that sort of thing up. well, i'm sort of a bitch if anyone brings THAT up. i can't help it, it is SO the last thing I want to talk about. but i would never use that as an excuse, even if i was on it, that is SO not their business. it's like those girls who fake cry so people feel bad for them. not me. too emarassing. i don't know anyone who does that sort of thing, how awul! and it was weird, the last time i had really bad dreams like, 4 days in a row before i got it. a form of PMS?

Holy hell, those are my exact thoughts!
My best friend is EXACTLY like that.
It's really sad how some people think that women can only be angry when they're having their period.
If I'm angry at someone, it's for a legitimate reason.
