Rosello reluctantly converesed in the mind of his follower and agreed to giving Cass a position. He could easily keep watch over him here. It was growing apparen that if he forced Cass from the city bad things could happen. He would bide his time and wait, striking at the perfect moment.


The waiter returned with the coffee and smirked. "Boss said we can take on another. You ever waited tables or worked the bar before?"The man really was a nice guy barely a few decades old. Which was why he was working her, his vampiric powers weren't suited for making it big here.

When the waiter returned he put the money on the counter for the coffee, having already calculated it in his head while the other was away, as he spoke, "Yes, I have." he smiled a little, "Both of them. What position is it; waiter?" he asked with the same smile. He knew Cass wouldn't try and bore him out of the city. This was too good an oppertunity to keep an eye on him.

Plus, working with the other, nicer, vampire, may prove to help Cassius figure out the boy as well. Subltely, of course.

The follower smiled and nodded. "Bit of both, some night we need an extra hand at the bar and thats where you'll come in."There was much more he had to tell him but among the humans the man had to keep his mouth shut. "When would you like to start?"

Cass thought about it a bit, "Tomorrow, if that's alright? I don't want to leave Diane alone right away." he smiled, gesturing to the human that was at his table. He did just get back in town, and he didn't want to disappoint her, especially so soon.

"Sounds like a plan then, come in when you have the time so we can discuss your hours."The other vampire smild, a little more reservd now. New ones in the city were always so much fun, it was a chance to make either a friend or an enemy . Either way it made life exciting.

"Alright, sounds good." he smiled again, grabbing the coffee and heading back to Diane. "What took so long?" she asked.

"I've got a job" he laughed a little, handing her her coffee as she stood up, and they headed out again.

They were heading out and Rosello was getting impatient, leaping from his hiding space to follow behind them. So far Cass was eing an average citizen Perhaps he was going to claim this human girl?

"So, enjoying yourself so far?"

Both Cassius and Diane turned to see the boy. Cass stopped and Diane stopped, having walked ahead of him because he had stopped sooner, she ended up moving behind Cassius. Cassius smiled a little, "I wondered when I would be seeing you again." he paused before adding, "Yes, I am actually. You know, we were never properly introduced. Since you're stalking me, it would be lovely to at least know your name. My friend here told me she thought it was Rosello, is that correct?"
Diane looked from Rosello to the ground. She didn't want to look to long, for some reason.

Yes, my name is Rosello. Rosello Ashling DeAmour Morte Vonry'l to be specific. And whoever said I was stalking you Cassius?"The boy purred a feral look in his vibrant green eyes. He'd left out his tiltle on purpose, not thinginh the female would understand that she was in the precence of a royal.

A young bad tempered royal but still the blood of vampiric kings ran in his viens. And they'd acused him of stalking. "I was merely making sure you weren't up to no good."

Cassius laughed, "You know very well what I mean, Rosello." he added the boys name now as though they were familiar now. "I know you've had people keep an eye on me, and now you're coincidentally in the same place I am..." he wagged a finger mockingly at Rosello, "It's not very polite to treat guests this way." he smiled a bit.

Diane grabbed the sleeve of Cassius' coat. She knew not what Rosello was, but she knew better than to mess with him and his... friends. She was getting nervous, and Cassius could tell. He put a hand over her shoulders, to make her feel safer, and whispered in her ear "It is fine, do not worry." He looked back to Rosello, waiting for a response.

"I didn't invite you- that doesn't make you a guest."The boy hissed, his temper showed a little. cass was treating him like a kid and he hated that, hated the weak mewling woman plastered to his side as well. Striding up to them he got right up in Cass's face boldly. "Claiming her then? Is that how you expect to be allowed to stay here?"

"Ah, but guests to a city do not need invitation, especially when it isn't owned by anyone." he said, condecendingly, with a smile to match. The smile especially because Rosello's temper was beginning to show again. Cass was treating him like a child, but only because Rosello had proven he was so childish. Cassius laughed at Rosello's accusation, "You thought I was going to claim her?" he laughed again. "No, it isn't like that with Diane."
Then he thought of something, "Oh, and technically, I am a guest, because Diane invited me to live with her awhile." he smiled again.

"You have no concept of territory do you?"He hissed, fangs bared in hateful rage. Didn't mattered if the girl saw, she had to know what Cass was. But he'd beaten him in one way, th woman had invited him here. Damn her to the pits of hell! "Just bcause you're an ancient doesn't mean you can disrupt the way things are here."

"And just because you're a child doesn't mean you can have everything your way." Cassius retorted. While some would wear the title with a neverending sence of pride, he resented the term 'ancient', it made it sound like he should be crumbling to bits and have a voice that sounded like the wind and nothing more. Who cared how old he was? Just because he was mature enough to know better and the fact he had been around a really, really long time... Also, Cassius didn't think he had any special privledges because he was indeed old, but he rather though the fact he was, and always had been smarter than most other vampires... Well, that was special. Plus, Cassius had always had a certain class about him, even back in the day. "And I happen to have a very good concept of territory, it is you who seems to have too much of the wrong one." he added.

Diane moved closer under Cass' arm, then looked at Rosello, feeling brave, "He hasn't disrupted anything. It's you putting the tail of vampire on him that seems to be the problem." she defended. Cassius was surprised. Not many mortals had the guts to stand up to a vampire, let alone a young, hot-tempered one.

He wanted to hit her for that, smash her pretty skull so the words she'd used to defend her lover would stop ringing in his head. But his parents had raised him better- he didn't hit women unless they struck the first blow. "I keep the peace here you little trollop, this city an only hold a select number of vampires.We add more and the balence crumbles,more humans find out about us when we get careless."He was so angery, pissed enough that he was sure if he could beat their opinion down with his words that he'd be in tears of frusteration.

"Why the hell would some 3 milenia geezer be interested in my city anyways? Its a party town, there are other bigger territories down south you can stomp all over with your older than dirt attitude!"

Cassius was still staring at Diane when Rosello went on his little rant. How long had Diane known about vampires? Had his brother let it slip? The rant did snap Cassius out of it, and it angered him, "Don't you dare speak to her like that." he hissed.

Before Cassius could continue, Diane jumped in again, "Shows what you know. Cassius is smarter than that. He knows how to evade human suspicion."

He looked at her and tilted his head to look at her, whispering, "How do you know all this?"

She looked up at him and smiled, whispering back, "Did you think I would live with Adam that long and not figure it out?"

Cassius laughed, impressed. Then he looked back to Rosello, glaring now, "I suggest you keep your distance, or things will start happenings to make the humans wonder." he wasn't threatening emptily. After an aggraveted sigh through his nostrils he added, "We can either find a way to work this out together, or I could become a real nussiance. It's your choice."

Throughly enraged the boy focused his gaze on the woman who dared defy him. Stupid wench, neded to be taught to keep her mouth shut. She was a liability. "Look. I can bespell this entire block without braking a sweat. Anything that happens here is a controlled setting. Now I'd like to not get into a throughly bloody bit of combat but if you push things with me I will us every resource in my arsenal to wash the streets of this city with your blood." The boys threats were serious even no he was plotting for the fight to come.

"So you wanna talk our little agreement out of are we going to fight?"

Cassius was getting severely annoyed; this boy knew nothing of negotiation. He was so focused on getting things to go his way, all he was doing was repeating basically what Cassius had just said, "I believe the choice was yours." His eyes narrowed still, but the expression on his face and posture of his body indicated calmness. "Since all you're doing is threatening me though, I'm pretty sure there's only one way to take that. What do you say Rosello, think you can keep yourself in check long enough, or does this have to turn into a problem?"

Diane looked between the two. She couldn't think of anything to say, seeing as this was clearly and strictly between Cassius and Rosello now.

" I can be perfectly calm Cassius but this is a discusssion not meant for a back ally with a human precent."He declared, settling back into a bored alm looking expression. Praise his ftahers controlled sense of temper otherwis the matches in his pocket would be ablaze and the boy's loving mentor here to defend the child from something right about his age.


But he had control now, thinking he'd profit from their negotitions and Monte wouldn't be crisping anyone.

Cassius nodded, removing his arm from Diane's shoulders and stepping in front of her, "Good then, but Diane's pressence isn't really an issue here." he clarified. "I agree however this is no place for these matters. Where else may we take our buisness?" Cassius was all buisness now. He didn't want trouble and neither did Rosello, so having that in common was a good sign; however, one more burst of either one's temper could cause an issue to big to discuss away. Cass was almsot to his boiling point, Rosello had annoyed him so thoroughly. If he was pushed too far, he was not going to let the boy get away with it- no matter how high and mighty he thought himself.

"The Italian resturant down the street is mine- has confrence rooms built into the upper floor. You and I will meet alone since this is a matter of vampiric nature. Send your woman home and we can bgin redrawing the granted feed turfs in peace."Sighing softly the sight of him protecting her disgusted the boy and he stalked off to his resturant. It was a grand old place with mobster style flair. In his mind a perfect hideout for vampires even if his mother was mostly french and his father a mix of too many nationalities to care anymore.

Add in that his mentor was german and it made it quite funny for the boy to be enjoying a mix of blood and wine with italians.

Cassius rolled his eyes mentally as the boy stalked off. He was definately going to have several things to say to that boy when the met up. First, he had to convince Diane...

"I'm not leaving you." she said defiantly, as though she herself could read minds.

Cassius sighed and turned to look at her. She looke up at im back, her eyes showing her mind was made up. "You don't have a choice. If you want me to stay here in the city with you." he argued.

She sighed aggravatedly, "I don't like it. Something isn't right."

"You've done more than you should have." he informed her, "He doesn't like you, whereas before I showed up, he couldn't care less about you. Now you are on his bad side."

She shook her head, still defiant, telling him she was going as well. "Besides, I have to set him straight about this crap about me being your woman." she smiled.

Cassius laughed a little, and smiled, but then let it fade and said, "Please, Diane." Reluctantly, and after thinking, she finally agreed. "You and I will talk later as well." he added, and she knew he meant about her knowing about vampires. She nodded and began the walk home, taking both coffees for later.

Having seen which way Rosello had stalked off to, Cassius followed the direction to the resturaunt. He entered the building, and despite some protests of the staff, he went directly to the conference rooms. He followed Rosello's scent to where he was, he observed the boy and said, "Let's get to this then. First of all, I don't do 'assigned feeding grounds'. Second, Diane wanted me to specifically point out that she is not, was not, and never will by my woman, which is the way we like it." He looked at the boy, waiting for a response. Cass was calm, and it was theenergy he gave off as well.

Rosey rolled his eyes at the man's forced entrance. "Fine, she's just your friend that happns to know about vampire. As for the feeding grounds well I can't budge on that. You're new here and that will make others nervous, most everyone mingles to hunt because they know their neighbor will follow the rules. If you're worried about quality I'll cut you portion of my personal grounds."And you have to sign the charter that you will keep peace in the city."

Cassius was impressed by the level headedness of Rosello now. This boy was really serious about keeping the peace it would seem. Perhaps Cass would have to give him another chance... "In my defense," he stated referring to Diane's knoweldge of vampires, "I had no idea she knew about our kind. It was a surprise to me when she mentioned it to you." Then he considered Rosello's offer on the feeding grounds, "Well, I can see your point now about why you would assign grounds to everyone, but it isn't quality I am worried about. There is a particular type of blood I like, and a certain way I like to feed. If that isn't provided on the ground I'm assigned, we'd have a problem. What do you mean everyone 'mingles to hunt'?"

He looked down, then around the room, then asked, "What does this charter involve, exactly? Because if you're trying to get me to pledge anything to you, it's not happening." he warned.

"Just a formal record o f the lands that are yours to feed from and a waiver of sorts to bind you to the laws if you break them. Also it guarentees you protection from the law enforcement the humans have. Obviously we handle our own crimes amongst ourselves."He answered, firmly lost in his sense of control and the power he wielded. He lifted the glass of bloodwine to his lips and drank deeply.

"Forgive me for being so casual. The vampires that live here trust each other to various extent. They allow others to feed in different districts of their turf, but only because the bonds of trust exist. If you'd be so kind as to mention the type of blood you prefer I can locat hunting grounds that suit you."
