Cassius nodded, "And what are these consequences for breaking the rules, exactly? Not that I plan on it?" he asked, eyeing the charter. He wasn't about to sign something that lead to him being trapped in a corner of any sort.

Cassius smiled a little, nervously, "That's the problem, it isn't the blood type I'm attracted to. I hunt criminals with a certain amount of raw emotions that taint their blood, due to something that releases certain hormones, giving the blood a distinct taste... I usually hunt by scent." he explained. Then, he continued, "I always kill my victim for that reason. I try not to hunt and hurt innocent people, but when I find one, an innocent, when I am desperate, I feed and leave them alive, and alter their memory... I'm not sure what you can do with that." he said, smiling nervously again. "Though..." he sighed, "Perhaps if you assign an area for me, the others will learn to trust me and I can find those individuals on my own. Otherwise, I'll have to hunt whomever I can..." the next part he whispered, "even though the innocents are so much work...."

Rosey nodded and thought over his options for a moment. "Theres unclaimed territory next to the city jail. I have special dispensation with those humans to help 'rid' them of troubling guests. I go there myself sometimes." For old times sake, you instill a lust for somthing so similar to his bloodlust in my my dear mentor.

"Would that land be acceptable?"

Cassius nodded, "Yes, I think that would be acceptable. A criminal is better than none at all I suppose." he smiled, "However, I did inquire as to what the consequences were.." he gently reminded Rosello of his question.

"Criminals with that specific kick you desire hopefully."He added somthing to the parchement he held, the charter Cassius would sign. "As for conequences. It depends on the crime. Most of the higher crimes have a death sentance or banishment. But those are truly evil destructive deeds."

He smiled a little and nodded once, "Yes, I do hope." he laughed a little at the next bit, "Oh, well, if that's all, then I guess I could sign." He laughed again, "Have a pen?"

"The charter will bind you to judgement if you break the rules of this city, you sign in your own blood to make it official and binding."Rosey pushed a crimson feathered quill over to Cass, the tip shining lightly with the metal piece meant to cut into skin for its ink.

Cassius cringed a little, "And... if I don't have blood?" he asked. Long story short, Cassius was murdered, viciously, and bitten by a vampire- that's how he turned. He wasn't a pureblood; and only purebloods usually had blood anyway. Though, occassionally, a human turned into a vampire does have some blood left, it just doesn't flow. Cassius had none at all... except what he drank, but as with all non-purebloods, the blood he drank was absorbed into his body and evaporated. Not something he liked to share with most people- especially other vampires. Not all vampires accepted the turned vampires among them.

Rosey bit his lip, he was young but educaated enough to know such things did exist in their darkling world. But he didn't know how to sign the contract without blood. Another more powerful elder had drawn up the contracts as a way to help the child run his territory. He'd signed every other one with blood. "Then I'll find another way for you to sign it that will leave the charter intact. Please excuse me so I can consult someone who knows these things."

Cassius nodded, "Well, I am sorry for the inconvenience. Though, it's not like I chose how I died." he said, with a small smile to show he wasn't just being a jerk. Had he chosen a way to die, he would have much rather chosen one that was quicker and less painful...

Also, he didn't want to seem like it was a way for him to back out of the contract. Surely Rosello knew that not every vampire still had blood in their veins...

The child's eyes shone kindly for a moment and then the emerald orbs were closed. "Thats very true- this will only take a moment."Rosello whispered and it only did take a moment to slip into the mind of the one he needed advice from. They had been so intimately connected that his elder welcomed the child with open arms into the corridors of his mind.

Little Imp! How goes the city?He could feel those words caress him, pull him into a mental type hug with their warmth."Funny you should ask- I have a problem that reques your attention. An elder without a single drop of his own blood had entered my lands and cannot sign the charter that way. How do I bind such a being to the laws?" Silence, the his mentor was deep in thought and then that rich German bass rumled through his mind.

With his magic child or with you can draw it forth his aura. Such a being is not uncommon you know. If that is all I have other business to attend to- visit sometime my little Rosebud, you know we miss you. A fond goodbye and their minds parted, the younger vampire smiling softly when he returned his thoughts to Cass.

"Do you posess magic?"

Cass watched curiously. Rosello must have been talking to someone he had a strong connection with, someone very close to him. When Rosello returned, the question startled him a bit. He had never told anyone about the curious talents he had, but he would admit it to the boy, "Yes, I suppose you could call it that... Why?"

"Magic can be traced to an individual- just like blood. "I'll need you to channel your power into the quill and sign right here."He pointed to the line designating signature on the charter. Ïs this a suitable option for you given you posess no blood?"

Cassius smiled, and even laughed a little, "I hadn't thought of that. I've never been asked to sign a charter in blood." he smiled, taking the quill, and, as instructed, channeling the magic into it. It took about a second for the tip of the quill to glow a brilliant blue, and as he wrote, the "ink" seemed to sparkle blue and red, before settling into a rich black color. Cassius Reginauld Von Ira, he signed, "Is this sufficient?" he asked.

Rosey watched the quill glow blue , the words forming on the page. He smiled and nodded softly."Yes thats quite sufficient for our purposes. Just enough that the charter will glow if you break a rule." He found himself quite impressed by the elder at this point. "But given how you profess to not want to cause trouble verything is settled. The lands that are yours will greet you with a warm hum when you cross turf lines by the way. Helps newcomers remember which plot is theirs."

Cassius smiled, setting the quill back onto the table, " I must admit, I'm impressed with your arrangements and the way you run your lands." he smiled a bit, looking at Rosello, "You have things very organized, and while I still don't completely appreciate your demands for allegiance, the arrangement is rather fine. " he turned to look around now.

He hadn't looked at the room before, "Might I ask who you were speaking with about me?" he asked casually. He was simply curious, nothing more... Especially to know if he would get a legitimate answer.

Rosey smiled, blushing softly before the color faded from his cheeks and he spoke once more." Thank you for your gracious compliment. As for who I was spaking to I have a mentor who lives quite far away. He's been watching over me since I was young so I defer to him if I have issues such as this recent one."He learned wellt he organization and rigid rules from his mentor and his own parents, to rule was his training from birth but it was best if he kept his full backround hidden for now.

"You are welcome." he smiled. Cassius nodded in understanding, "I suppose having your mentor far away is a bit of a pain. I understand. It must be nice to have a helping hand. Especially with issues such as me." he laughed, still holding the smile. Cass had had a mentor once, in a way... but that was ages ago, and nothing to really dwell on, unless he was asked.

The boy smiled softly and nodded. "Yes, its nice to have an elder like yourself watching my back. I still visit him occasionally when I have the time. I'm sure you've had someone like that before, we all need an older kindred spirit to guide us at least once in this night lifestyle." Sipping his drink slowly he offered Cassius the bottle, a spare glass waiting for the ruby liquid within.

Cass accepted the offering, laughing a little, "Well, I'm not I'd go that far to say I'm an elder. That would imply I take part with other vampires and they seek me out for wisdom and such, and that typically is not the case." he smiled a little, "Yes, I had a mentor once as well, briefly, however." he nodded slightly, "It is nice that you can always turn to yours however, must make things rather convenient. He raised his own glass, breathing the scent in lightly, "What is this, exactly?"

"A mixed red."The boy replied with a good natured smile. "fruit of the vine and gift of the vien. A bit of a delicacy since its hard to get it to mix right." Cooing he sipped at his own once more and mulled over Cassius'words. "But why wouldn't they seek somone with your wealth of expirience out?"

Cassius was impressed with Rosello's fine description of the drink as he sniffed again, "Smells a bit like Merlot..." he stated before taking a small sip. "Ah... very well mixed indeed." he nodded. He had never heard of mixing wine and blood together. It was unique and quite appreciable. HE smiled a little at Rosello, "I am very good at hiding. I have no interest in being sought out by fledglings and whomever else may want my help. I help whom I please, when I please, when they actually need it. I have no desire whatsoever to be a mentor to anyone." he said, "Not that many seek my help to begin with, since I am not of pure blood." he added. Fledglings those days thought only of being trained and mentored by purebloods, thinking they would know what was best for them. Sometimes, purebloods had no idea how to care for a turned vampire though, and sometimes, they didn't want to.

"I think the wine base is Merlot actually."The boy cooed, listening to Cassius speak. It was understandable that he hide his true nature well, most ancients could do it. "Its hard when one doesn't have another vampire to guide them in this life. But here you will have your privacy if that is your desire Cassius."

Cassius nodded, "It makes sense. Merlot has a strong enough scent to cover the blood even, should a human catch a bit of it." he smiled. Cassius shrugged, "So long as I'm here, I am a sitting duck." he smiled, "I might as well answer whomever needs my help whilst I stay here."

"Oh I'm sure you'll be left alone. The others here aren't anywhere near as old or as strong as you."Taking another sip the child vampire offered more of the bottle to Cass. "Nor are they the types to come needing advice. They keep to themselves and most hold down jobs in the city."

Cassius nodded as he listened, and then nodded again to the offer for more of the liquid, holding out his glass. "Well, then that will suit me just fine as well." he laughed a little. "Old and powerful.. thank you. I do have a question now though: Are you still hellbent on stalking me around the city?" He supposed he couldn't blame Rosello for doing so, but at the same time, Cass could figure the contract would do it for him.
