Who has it? And to what degree do you all have this syndrome? :D
I'm shaking my legs as I'm typing this right now, even though mom is bitching about how it's unladylike.
I CAN'T HELP IT. D:

i dont have that exactly. i have a habit of unconciously shaking my leg (only one usually) when im sitting, but its not because of an odd sensation....well ok, it is sometimes. i might have it, but like its on and off...ugh, now my leg feels all weird. but i think thats just paranoia, at least, it is right now. i didnt know this exsisted, but yes. sometimes i do that from a weird sensation. and other times im just sitting there and getting bored and letting my mind wander and shaking my leg without realising. im also impatient and i twitch a lot, like tapping my fingernails against a table over and over until im not waiting, or shifting from foot to foot, or pulling on my hair, etc. and then i move all over the place when im sleeping. several times ive woken up on the floor, or at the wrong end of the bed, etc. i always pull my hair or move in some way when im nervous, i feel really weird if im not moving if im nervous. or if im just standing there. so it might just be because im so restless always. *frown* or maybe i just have that in places other than my legs....who knows? ok, im done rambling on and on.....XD

I have RLS. It happens mostly when I lay down for the night or have to sit through long, boring meetings at work. And it only happens to my left leg, too.

I have it on my right leg, but it's usually accompanied by my left too xP It's more like "Gee I'm so bored and inactive, lets make the leg shake!", but I admit sometimes on the nights it stops being something seemingly normal and my leg actually does feel really really weird if I keep the leg still for more than 3 seconds. And it's always the right one x_x

I might have it a little bit in my right leg. It's not really a problem for me, though.

I might have RLS..I know my dad does. I feel so sorry for him! I hear it is painful! ;-; I don't know it it's related, but I get numb in my legs sometimes, and have to fall to the floor, so I don't fall on something that will hurt me. I know I have something called tremors though. I get weird shaky feelings a lot. >< The other day, my hands were trying to fly. >>;

I get a shaky leg when I'm trying to get to sleep, and maybe when I'm working, but it's really not bad to any extent. Just annoying. I'd be reluctant to call is restless leg syndrome.

I'm pretty certain that you have restless leg syndrome. XD I mean, restless legs!
@ Larele: I haven't heard much about people experiencing pain that is attributed to the disorder/disease, but that sucks a lot. ):

I don't know about other people, but I find it easier to sleep when I wiggle my legs since it occurs so naturally I don't notice a thing.

when i sleep i kick a lot. i always go to sleep facing a different direction completely, and the blankets wrap all over me, and i am always tetering on the edge when i wake. and sometimes one leg is just sprawled onto the floor. my dad always jokes that i must have been dreaming about kick boxing. once i woke myself up by kicking the fuckin' wall really hard. i just suddenly kicked and my foot smacked the wall. it wasnt a good way to wake up. but usually kicking and twitching and such doesnt bother me if im sleeping. i dont realise until i wake up on the floor, or across the bed in the opposite side, or i just wake up, that i'm even kicking. strangely, it doesnt usually happen when im about to sleep, and if it does i stretch my legs out for a few minutes and it goes away pretty quick. and a few times i was walking along and right when i went to take a step my leg started to shake a bit and it just knocked me over, because it was right when i went to take a step. it always caught me off guard, totaly unexpected. and then of course, after i fell and got back up, it went away pretty quick. except once, it lasted a bit longer, and i stumbled along, tripping myself but being more careful. it gets a bit annoying, especially if i trip. makes me look even more uncoordinated. hm...how did i not know this anyway?!

I definitely have restless leg syndrome! I was just scrolling through the General Discussion listings and saw this thread, looked down at my leg, and started laughing.
Usually it just happens when I get excited or nervous, but apparently I need to add tired to list too.
I wouldn't saw that I have RLS too terribly bad, thought I can agree with TheNavyBlueMoon about the sleeping situation. I never can keep the blankets on all night and always end up cold. Lol.

I don't think I actually have it. But when I rest my leg on a certain part of my foot, my leg starts to shake... and it's only my right leg..

Probably to a very mild degree I do. I never mention it to the docs, but then I rarely go to them. I have an aunt who is diagnosed with it. When it happens, it isn't a twitching, shaking, or movement, it's the absolute need to do that that will drive me fricking up the wall, and it's the weirdest, most annoying, drive me crazy type thing. I've tried not moving my leg(s) when it starts and I just can't do it for the life of me. It's not a numbness, or pins and needles thing (for me), it's a crawling feeling, or pulling feeling, or-UGH-it's SO hard to describe! It usually happens at night when I'm either very sleepy or just getting ready to fall asleep, which then, of course, makes it impossible to do until it decides to stop. Thankfully-YES!-it's not frequent, but it does seem to come in spurts where it will happen several times a week, maybe for several weeks, and then go away for several weeks or a month.

yea I have restless leg syndrome, when i'm sitting in class or in front of a computer I tend to shake me legs a lot. Some times when i'm laying down i will have to get up and walk around to satisfy my legs needs. It doesn't work out well because I also have Plantar Fasciitis. https://www.google.com/health/ref/Plantar+fasciitis Which if you go to this link you will find out what it is. Then you will understand why having these two problems together is kind of a pain.

I was once about to fall asleep, that moment when you can feel how you go from the real to the dream realm, and my leg suddenly jerked and kicked the wall D; I had been waiting an hour to fall asleep, and because of that I had to wait another half an hour until I finally managed >__>
And it's not the only time it has happened ;__;
My mother doesn't let me sleep on her bed or go to sleepovers because she fears I might kick people and hurt them xD;; She says she's not willing to pay any hospital bill.
@Infinitys Echo: It's as if your legs were made of wood and were hollow, and inside there's a rubber band which, if you keep your leg still, starts to pull and stretch, causeing your leg to feel as if it's being somehow pulled to your body, and the rubber band goes back to the unstretched state when you bend the leg if it was stretched, and stretch the leg if it was bent :headdesk:

it does that to me too! but thats not the only time my leg starts shaking, thats just how it usually happens when im not doing anything. usually i can stop for a bit, but sometimes it takes me a minute or two to figure out how. XD sometimes if i shake my leg for a bit and sift positions a few times, that weird feeling goes away.
mine is sort of on and off.

My fiancee has it. It's hard to get to sleep when he has to shake his legs out every couple of minutes, and then when he gets to sleep he kicks me black and blue without knowing.

My leg never starts shaking randomly, but I do frequently get that tingly sensation in my foot that makes me need to move it in response to 'hopefully' getting comfortable again. Normally I've noticed it late at night, especially after eating food that late, and then trying to go to bed... Also, after reading the Wiki on RLS, it makes sense that I have it, because due to recent issues I've been having, I've been heavily contemplating that I most likely have iron deficiency anemia.
