Caleb waited until the spaghetti was done, tasting peices now and then until it was perfect. Once that was done he strained it and put it in a giant bowl. the sauce was hot and mouth watering. He pulled out 5 plates. One for him, Tabi, Nadia, Sy, and Kiseko. He filled each one with spaghetti poured some sauce on and pulled out the meatballs from the oven. He placed 5 small meatballs on each plate and laid them out on the counter.
"Dinner's Ready!"
He shouted to the other room. Once anyone entered the room their noses would be hit by a delicious smell of the meat and the sauce. He took a foark and started to eat his plate. yuuummmmm.

Rolling off of Naida's lap I slipped into the kitchen and jumped onto the counter. I stared at Caleb and meowed.

Sy put down the canvas. "Oh thank you Caleb." she kissed his cheek as she walked past, following the delicious aroma.

Caleb smiled at the cat and grabbed a small meatball from the tray that came out of the oven. He held it out to her so she could eat it.
"When you change back it will be easier to eat your spaghetti."
He pet the cat between the ears and under her chin. Blushing softly at Sy's kiss her forced it back, with his pale skin even the slightest fluster should bright as day. He hoped everyone would enjoy.

Naida stood up and followed Kiseko to the kitchen and entered. She sniffed the air "wow it smells delicious" said aloud and went to the counter

Caleb gave Nadia a crooked smiled that many girls had shied away from over the years. He always felt embarassment from them afterwards, thus he could tell they like it.
"Thanks."
he spoke softly.

Sy grabbed a plate and began to eat. "oh wow, Caleb, this is amazing! Better than anything I could ever cook!" She giggled

I chowed on the meatball, it was different from raw meat, but not a bad different. I slipped out the kitchen door and up stairs, changing forms and slipping into clothes. I returned to the kitchen and picked up a plate. "This seems extremely messy to eat with my hands." Picking up a noodle I slurped it in.

Naida nodded at Caleb's smile and went to the plate. She let a small laugh as she saw Kiseko eat the noddle. She picked up the plate and ate slowly savoring the taste. She smiled brightly wow it is good she thought

Smiling her turning to Sy.
"Thanks, i really dont mind cooking if you ever need me too."
Caleb chuckled softly handing her a fork.
"This might make it less messy."
His eyes watched Nadia eat, glancing up every now and then. She really was beautiful, they white locks of hear and really really enticing blue eyes...

I took the fork and turned it every which way, "I've never used human silverware before, what is this?" I scooped the larger end into the spaghetti and lifted it just to watch the saucy noodles slide off. "How does this help?"

Sy laughed gently. "here, yoou hook the noodles around the tines, and you twirl the fork. Watch how the noodles curve around it. And there ya go. Meatballs you can just stab though."

Sy sent Caleb a small nodd towards Naida, and a look that said, 'you like her don't you'.

I twirled it as instructed and after a few tries I was able to eat the food, "Why do you torture yourselves with this thing? Hands are much easier....." I pouted a bit but continued to eat the food, not sure whether I liked the different tastes or not.

looking at Sy he turned his eay away after the look, concentrating soley on his food. He couldn't like her...he couldnt like anyone. Every girl he ever had the faintest feelings for would scream in terror once realization set in...

"honestly I'm not sure." Sy shrugged. "I rarely eat solids anyways so I don't notice that much. When I was a kid, all I ate was solid foods." She rolled her eyes "and now I nearly starve myself of everything" she murmured under her breath.

"Don't starve yourself," I brushed my tail on her arm in a reassuring way. "If you need to feed I'll help you however I can." I smiled at her and put down an empty plate, being on the road makes you eat faster then others I guessed.

Sy finished her plate. "I'm just tired of using people... Besides, I feel better about myself when I don't feed, as a succubus, for a few months at a time..." She smiled at the girl. "I appreciate it, but I just dislike how I must feed. Also I don't think you're interested in me that way." she winked and put her dishes in the sink.

I walked up behind Sy, body just barely not touching hers, and placed my dishes in the sink. I leaned next to her ear and whispered, "Hun we all have needs, and you're not a bad choice."

Sy's eyes widened slightly in surprise, before a smile curved her lips. She slowly turned around. "your not to bad yourself Kitten." she used the word as a term of endearment. Sy cupped her hands together and a faint gold glow could be seen, before she opened them up. "A Bird of Paradise." She tucked the flower into Kiseko's hair, before walking back to the bar.

I filled a glass with milk and went out to take a seat at the bar. "So if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your friends?" Carefully, I watched to make sure I didn't step on something too hard.

Sy bit her lower lip. "They just left one day. And didn't come back. At least Talon and Sodalis did... The girls, they left a bit before. There was talk of Hell's Demons coming by, so they got out... Sokey... Sokey and I stayed til the end of it all. He told me, he had to go and find someone. Someone that could help him, and so he left me the Inn and was gone..."

I took one of her hands between my own bringing them close to my lips, I whispered a prayer in an ancient language and said, "I hope they come back to you someday." Releasing her hand, I offered a sympathetic smile.

"Thank you." Sy blinked a couple times, then reached up to brush away some tears. "But thats what the Inn's about. New beginnings. Like the Phoenix. To keep them... it's just holding onto the past..." She shook her head. "I need to start looking for a future."

I smiled, "That's good. Living in the past isn't very good for you. But you never know maybe you're future will walk in that door, or already has and you just don't know it." Playing with the now empty glass, my tail waved languidly back and forth.
