Caiti was swimming in and out of a state of consienceness.

Beep- Beep- beep-

Caiti opened her eyes. A fuzzy veiw of a brightly lit room came into focus, there was a woman stnding in her room. She had a white jacket on.

"Hey hon, you doing alright? Your friend just kind of handed you over and left. We had to hook you up to all sorts of doodads, why were you starving yourself?"

The woman had a kind but stern type of voice. Caiti felt safe.

"I wasn't trying. Believe me I wanted to eat. I am a taveler and I got lost in the forest about a two weeks ago and ran out of food about ten days ago."

The woman looked at Caiti skeptically for a moment, then, deciding she wasn't lieing she exhaled deeply.

"Well, after you eat a good meal and you feel up to it you can check yourself out."

Caiti thanked the woman, ate her meal and left the hospitol. She walked around the small town, thinking to herself how it's a little bit of a shut in type. She found a park near the forest that had almost been her deathbed and sat on the ground staring into it.

Leaping down from the tree, Rae finally saw the other vampire.
"Why didn't you eat her?"

Alex smiled at the vampire. "I dont like human blood.It's icky." Alex stuck her tongue out and laughed. "I learned how to control my thrist decades ago.You really need training though." She said looking over the girl vampire.

Caitilynn shivered. This town gave her an odd feeling. It was strange.

Caiti stood up and walked over to the swings. She sat down on one and began to sway back and forth slowly. With every slow rocking movement the metal swingset made an agonizing groaning noise.

"Just like being in some creepy horror flick"

She mumbled to herself as she listened to the mating song of the crickets.

"Ts," Rae almost hissed. "No vampire can resist blood."

She didn't believe that the vampire could completely control herself it was impossible.

"So. Are you living with them- the humans?"

Alex frowned and looked at the girl. "Nope I traevl around but I do have human friends.It's loads of fun!" She laughed and spun around.

Caiti heard a laugh arise from the trees.

Intruiged she walked into the woods, careful to keep track of where she was at so she wouldn't get lost. She could hear people talking. She walked closer.

Rae flinched.

"She's coming, let's go."

Rae ran back into the woods, collecting herself. She knew the vampire would stay to talk to her.

Alex frowned and started back to town. "That girl needs to smile a little." She laughed and saw the girl who she saved earlier.She skipped up to the girl and smiled. "Ello." She smiled.

Caiti heard a quickened rustling in front of her.

"Wait!"

She said stumbling forward. When she finally regained her balance she stood up. Instantly recognizing the girl from before.

"Hey, aren't you the girl who took me to the hospitol?"

She asked knowing the answer.

"Who was that and why do they keep hiding and running away?"

"What are you atlking about.Only you and I are here.I dont think your all the way well yet.You should head pack to town." Alex said

Like a fire running through her veins Rae could not control her unsizable feeling of the hunt. She felt like she needed it, she wanted it. She deserved it. Her whole body, numb with this, want, begged her for fresh human blood.

Sober for over a century now, Rae had to control herself. Quietly moaning in pain, she sunk to the ground, grasping her heart. Her own blood, frozen in her lifeless chest, gasping for more.

The last human she killed, his eyes- life-filled moons, screaming in pain as she sucked the raw life from the nape of his neck. A silent scream that peirced the night, only heard by the murderous vampire and the street rats, waiting for the scraps.

Caiti looked at the girl like she was delusional.

"I heard two voices, I heard someone run away. I know someone was here."

Caiti didn't know why the girl was trying to convince her otherwise, but she didn't want to sound like she was being hostile.

"Yeah, well maybe your right, let's go back into town then."

Caiti started walking with the girl.

Alex started to skip away with the girl.
Alex knew the vampire girl was having trouble cntrolling her instint.She frowned and continued to walk the girl out of the forest.

Shivering, Rae lied down on the grass.

"I hate this, I hate this, I hate this!" Rae screamed in her head. A chill fell down her spine, separating her skin from her bones.

And hour or so had passed before she rose, and walked toward the edge of town. Climbing up the stairs of an old brick appartment complex, Rae reached her flat and went into the room, double-locking the door.

Caiti walked along quietly aside the skipping girl. When they made it all the way out of the forest Caiti instinctively turned towards the park. She stopped.

"So- Uh, where is the best place to sleep outside in this town?"

She asked tentatively. Not really wanting to tell the girl she was a homeless wanderer.

Alex laughed."Well I sleep in a tree on a very thick brnch.If you get used to it,it is actually really comfy."She said.

The furniture around her room was full of life, with lively patterns and wonderous colors. Pictures of famous art and fake family photos were scattered across the walls.

All of the wonderful decorations were bought with extra money, useless to an imortal, and the happiness of the room seemed to be drained when Rae walked into the flat.

Crawling under her blankets, Rae curled herself into a ball. Sleepless, as another immortal trait, sent Rae into thoughts about her family and friends.

"You're weak," they would have said. "Just take a bite..."

Caiti smiled.

"Yeah, I am used to it. I think I'm gonna turn in for the night."

Caiti climbed up into a tree and found a spot and went to sleep.

Alex smiled andjumped into anothet tree and slosed her eyes and fell asleep.

Toph was quietly listening in on the conversations and had began to fall asleep. Walking back up a few hours later she moves her hat from her face and looks around. It seems that everyone was still talking that was good. If they had addressed her previously she hadn't realized it for she had been napping, having not slept well the night before. Toph blinks realizing they had been there for a while now. Though there was someone in a tree nearby and it seemed Cassie was still in the tree above her. Standing Toph stretches and yawns a bit.

Alex opens her eyes and jumps from the tree."She sticks the landing!"Alex says to herself.She laughs a bit then decides to play on the swings for a bit.Alex walks over to a swing and sits down.She pushes her feet back and forth and starts to get high.When she thinks she is high enough Alex jumps from the swing and lands on the grass.She laughs a bit and jumps back on the swing.

Toph looks around unblinking and 'sees' Alex land though vibrations and saw a swing she could feel when the swing would move though the vibrations from the metal through the ground. Grinning she 'watches' her for a while then approaches.

Alex looks over at the girl and smiles.She stands up from the swing and gpes over to the girl. "Hi.How are you." Alex smiles.
