Alexander growled and took off, passing John in a matter of second. He then saw the damned had his arms around Selene. Alexander growled and dropped his guard, letting his wings come out and he growled at the damned. "let her go." he said and rammed into the damned, making his let go of her.

Selene fell to the ground and John ran to her side. He put his arm around her helping her to sit up and looked at her. "Are you alright?" he asked and she nodded. "Yeah..." she said shakily. John then stared as Alexander and the man fought. "Theyre angels?!" he asked rubbing his eyes. "Yeah..." she said and turned around. Two other damned stood blocking their escape and Selene gasped. "John... Don't do anything..." she whispered softly and before he could ask a damned grabbed her and ripped her from John. He laughed and John jumped to his feet and tried pounching the guy but the other damned caught his hand and twisted it. John cried out in pain and was nailed in the stomach with a kick. He fell to the ground and the damned kicked his head knocking him out. "John!!!" Selene cried tears comming to her eyes. The damned picked his motionless form up and threw him over his shoulder like he was nothing. Selene pounched the guy in the face and tried to get free to help John but the damned smiled and grabbed her neck. Selene's eyes grew in pain and she whimpered.

Alexander finally knocked the damned out and glared at the other damned. He growled at them and he started to glow even more. "dont you dare touch her." he growled and moved closer to them. "I have traveld farther then any other saved to be with that girl and I am not going to let you two have her." he growled even more and lunged at hte one who had her. He knocked her away from the damned and kicked the one who had john in the stomach. He wasn't going to give up, not untill they killed him.

Selene fell but got right back up and ran to John. She cradled his head lovingly and spoke to him trying to make him wake. The damned ganged up on Alexander and were almost too much for him to take. He was getting beaten terribly until a damned was nailed in the back of the head with a kick and they stared at Selene. She didn't know how she knew to fight but her mind was working quickly as the damned came back at her and she fought him expertly. She dodged his pounch and nailed him in the stomach with her own pounch and knocked the wind out of him. She kicked him and then forced him to his knees. Her green eyes were glowing with furry and she stared at him with hate. "This is for John!" she snarrled and broke his neck. As he fell to the ground her eyes widened realizing what she had just done and she backed away shaking.

Alexander quickly killed the other damned and looked at her. He saw her shaking and saw the dead damned. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her. "it is okay, everything is going to be okay." he whispered to her softly. He would explain to her how it was better that they where dead instead of her being taken. Stroked her head gently and kissed her head.

Selene pushed away from Alexander and ran to John's side. She checked his pulse and went pale. "John?! John?!!" she said paniked. She looked at him and then at Alexander. "Cant you save him?! Can't you stop it?!!" she asked. John was slowly slipping away and it was all her fault. "John! Don't you dare leave me!! Don't leave!!" she shouted angerily at him tears running down her face as he cradled his head.

Alexander nodded, "yes, I can." he said and placed a hand on Johns heart. Light began to seep from Alexander and into John. He was giving some of his life to him. After a few moments Alexander fell away from John and was slightly pale himself but John was okay. "he sould be fine now." he said as he looked at her.

John gasped and his eyes snapped open. He quickly sat up looking around and then looked at Selene and cupped her face. "Youre alive!! You're okay!!" he said greatfully. "Youre the one who almost died!" Selene said and hugged him fiercely. She then pulled away and looked at him. "Dont you ever do something stupid like that again!" she said angerily and he nodded. She then looked at Alexander. He didn't look good at all. He was all beaten up and he was pale. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly. She inched closer and felt his head softly and then checked his pulse. She then saw his bleeding arm and ripped off the hem of her waitress dress and wrapped his arm calmly. "Thank you..." she whispered and looked into his eyes.

Alexander smiled at her, "fine, it just takes a lot of energy to bring someone back from the brink of death." he said as he smiled at her. He then reached up and stroked her cheek gently. "I am just glad that they didn't get you." he said as he smiled at her, "and there is no need to for thanks, I am more then happy to do this for you. I would do anything for you." he said as he looked at her.

Selene blushed and looked into his beautiful eyes. "Well, I'd like to know who the hell they were! They had wings! And you have wings!" John said and Selene looked at Alexander's beautiful white wings. "Oh no! They're bleeding!" she said softly seeing a small spot were the wing was slowly bleeding.

Alaxander slowly sat up and looked at them. "they are called damned, they serve as satins followers. I am a saved, I serve god. Damned try to turn people into other damned so that they can cause problems for other. Saved try to prevent them from doing that." he said and then looked at Selene. "If I hadn't taken over James possition as your protector they would have taken both of you and turned you into damned. That was why I cam back in time, to prevent you from being taken to satin." he said and spread his wings out for Selene to take a closer look.

Selene looked at him and then John. She then inched closer to his wings and gently touched the wound with her finger. She clutched her head as she was thrown into the memory of touching Alexander's wounds after being resqued from the burning stake. Selene gasped in shock as she found herself back in her body and shook slightly. She was silent as she thought about what she remembered. She then shook her head and ripped off her sleeve and gently wiped away the blood. "Selene? Was it the sight again?" John asked softly and she looked at him. "No.... A memory.... It's was the power John.... Thank god.... I don't need that stress right now." she said softly and moved to him. She ripped off her other sleeve and wrapped his bleeding head and wiped up the blood on his face as much as she could. "So James..... Was a saved?..." John said quietly and then looked at Selene. "Well then why the hell was he so evil?!" he demanded and Selene looked down her heart hurting slightly. She still wasn't quite over all the things James had lied to her about. "Im sorry Selene.... I didn't mean to-" "No... It's fine. I'm fine." she said cupping his cheek. He nodded meeting her eyes and couldn't look away. She then let her hand fall and looked at the dead damned and shuddered. "Can we leave now?" she asked quietly.

Alexander nodded and slowly got to his feet. "yes, we should go now. Either satin will send more damned or send himself. I dont want to end up killing him again." he said as he looked at them and made his wings dissappear again. "but james was corrupt and a coward." he said and then held john to his feet. "we need to go now and your house isn't a opption Selene. We need to get out of town and fast." he said as he looked at them.

Selene looked at Alexander shocked. "But-" "Selene, those guys tried to murder me and tried to take you away." John said and she nodded. She then looked at them both and smiled. John then began walking leading the way to his place. Selene followed near his side making sure he didn't fall or something. "Selene... I'm fine I can walk." John said noticing and she blushed. She looked at Alexander's hand and John's hand and knew she was going to have to make a desision sooner or later.... And she prayed it would be later.

Alexander stood over them protectively and knew that he might lose Selene. But whoever she choice he would still stay by her side. She was his job and he was going to make sure that she stayed alive. He then remembered her fighting and smiled, "your still a great fighter." he said softly and smiled at her.

Selene looked back at Alexander and was shocked. "What? I was a fighter? When?" she asked confused. As they crossed the street a guy bumped into her and then grabbed a lady's purse. Whirrling around Selene rushed to help and pounched the guy in the face and kicked him makig him release the bag. The women thanked her and Selene blushed. "Holy shit!! She just kicked that guys ass!" John exclaimed surprised. "How the hell does she know this stuff sudenly? She didn't know it before... Given she can read minds and do creepy stuff but nothing like that!" John said looking at Alexander for an answer as Selene walked back looking confused. "Did I just do that?"

Alexander nodded, "yes you did just do that." he said then looked at john. "and that stuff isn't creepy. They are good traits to have to become a damned." he said and then shook his head as he remembered where she learned them. "you see when I said I came back in time I ment it. I came back to before satin took her so that I could prevent that. Because if satin had gotten you he wouls have trained you to be a killing machine. You old stoped killing for him after you met me and I got you away from him." he said as he looked at her.

Selene looked at Alexander and then nodded slowly. A flash of herself dressed in all leather and with red and black hair flashed in her mind. But only for a second. "I-I- don't remember..." she said feeling bad. John spotted someone looking at them and looked at Selene. He gave her a look and she nodded quickly walking away with him without another word. She then grabbed Alexander pulling him along too. "Someone's following us..." she whispered her lips barely moving. "Can you tell if they're damned or not?" she said not even moving her mouth this time. John looked at Alexander and then back ahead as they crossed another street. Selene didn't let go of Alexander's hand and didn't want to. Sweet electricity came from his touch and it made her senses go wild.

Alexander growled, it was a damned. "it is a damned but only a scout. He is suppose to watch over us till other come." he said and and then smiled as he felt Selene touch him. It was nice to have her hand in his again but he couldn't enjoy it. But he could easly fix this problem. "okay, both of you make sure you have a hand on me. I am going to do a magic trick." he said and he placed a hand on Johns shoulder. He made the wind and water around them sparkle and move. Then they dissappeared from the sight of the damned as they went aorund a corner.

Selene almost gasped but covered her mouth quickly. She looked around amazed and John walked faster. As they neared his house close to the park Selene looked at the park feeling something pull her there. Unconsiously she began going towards it and John grabbed her hand and shook his head. "But-" "Selene not now..." he said softly and she nodded. They finally reached his house and went inside. Selene smiled and walked into the kitchen and came back out with sodas for them all. "Im gonna change and pack some stuff so we can get out of here." he said and Selene nodded. As he left the room she glided towards the window feeling attracted to it and saw the park outside.

Alexander saw her looking out the window and towards the park. He walked over and stood next to her. "that is where we first met." he said and chuckled slightly at the memory. "you tryed to kill me since satin had wanted me dead. But you coudlnt' do it and let me go free. But I stayed and tryed to get you away from Satin. I will always do that for you and I am never going ot leave your side." he said softly as he looked at her.

Selene looked at him and then back at the park. She whispered something in a completely different language and her eyes glowed. Things in the house began to shake and an unviable wind blew her hair. As she looked at Alexander the shaking got stronger and John ran in. "Selene!" he said worriedly and jumped over the coffee table. She snapped her attention to him and the house shook worse. He stopped in his tracks holding up his hands. "Selene... Calm down." he said softly.

Alexander gently took her into his arms and whispered into her ear. "Selene please calm down. NOthing is going to happen. That was in a different time, a different life. Nothing is going to happen like that again. I am here to make sure of that." he said and stroked her head lovingly. "everything is going to be alright." he said softly and repeated those words over and over to her again till she did calm down.

Selene blinked and the glow died and the invisable wind left. She looked into Alexander's eyes and shuddered. She layed her head on his shoulder and John sighed in releaf. He fell back onto the couch and looked up at the ceiling. "Im sorry.... Just something about it... Draws me..." she said and looked out the window again. Her eyes began to glowagain but she realized it this time and burried her face into Alexander's chest. She then looked up into his eyes. "I don't want to be a damned..." she whispered.

Alexander held her close and stroked her head. "and your not going to become a damned. I am here to prevent that." he said softly as he looked into her eyes and smiled. "I am your guardian and I am here to make sure that nothing happens to you. I am here to make sure that I succeed where my brother failed." he said then kissed her head, "nothing is going to happen to you while I am here."
