Seeing Jackle about ready to spring she shouted,"I promise!" he looked at her and nodded. He sat down and began to slowly shrink. He then turned back human and she draped her cape over him lovingly. Despite everything she understood why he had done that. She had been thinking about just playing it out and never desiding... Now she couldn't. And he had said he wasn't sure about Alexander but she knew he had gotten his proof. "You changed back by yourself...." she whispered. "I actually did go... Savage if you're going to ask...." he said and she smiled. "You snapped out of it though... You're getting better." "I only did because of Alexander and you know it.... I can't control anything I do when that happens..." he said hanging his head shamefully. "Youll figure out how to soon... Come on... We need to get you some shorts..." she said softly but he didn't move.

Alexander flew down and landed next to them. He looked at Jackle and sighed, "stop mopping around, so what you lost it. It happend and you cant do anything about it. At least you dont have a army of damned at your disposal and used them like I did." he said as he looked at him and remembered when he had charged that army to heaven. "now come on, you need pants." he said as he placed a hand on Jackle.

Jackle stood the cape covering him and he pounched Alexander. "Thats from snake. Sense you were in deed satin... He had figured that." he said and Selene looked at him shocked. "Jackle!" she said and he shrugged. "Just following last orders." he said and she wrapped an arm around Alexander and cupped his cheek. "Yeah... I'll leave you two..." he said flatly and walked off. Selene was surprised and yelled his name but he ignored her. "What am I missing here?" she asked looking into Alexander's eyes.

Alexander looked at Selene and sighed, "he deserves to hate me and in some way I do deserve this." he said softly. He hurt form the punch but knew that Jackle had a reason. He knew that he hated him slightly for being satin and not doing something to help some of them. But what could he do, they where damned, turning them back human wouldn't be good and they where welcome to ask him to leave. But that was in the past and this was now and it seems that they still slightly hated him for being in the darkness.

Selene shook her head and looked into Alexander's eyes. "I don't think it's that... I think Jackle hurts right now... I broke my promise to him and now I think all those horrible memories are comming back..." she whispered watching Jackle's retreating form. "You see... Jackle didn't used to be the only one like him... There used to be a pack... The government was planning on using them as weapons and spys... The pack had been huge... Fifteen or so humans had lived threw the change... Jackle was alpha and led his pack threw all the missions and never left anyone behind. But the scientist's daughter was part of the pack... She was untouchable to any pack member... If anyone ever did anything to her and the scientist found out the whole pack would be terminated..." she whispered and looked at the claw marks in the ground. "Jackle found himself getting closer and closer to her... He was alpha male and she was alpha female.... They couldn't ignore eachother anymore and they secretly loved eachother.... For mounths they had secretly been meeting and one night the wolf under Jackle found out... He ratted out Jackle and jackle was forced to watch his pack die one by one... Before he went to die himself his lover freed him and he lived... But so did the other wolf..." she said softly and looked at Alexander. "I swore to Jackle I wouldn't hurt him like that... But I'm afraid... I just did." she whispered tears forming in her eyes.

Alexander gently layed his hand on her cheek and whipped away her tears. This was his fault in some way and he gently wrapped his arms around her and held her close, "let me go try to talk to him." he said as he looked at her. he wanted to make thing right and for Selene to have a smile on her face.

Selene looked into his eyes and nodded. "Alright... Maybe you can get threw to him..." she whispered softly and kissed him softly. She loved it and wished that she could be with him forever. But she couldn't hurt Jackle like that. She then pulled away slowly and looked into his eyes. "Please tell him I'm not angry..." she whispered softly.

Alexander nodded, "I will and please call me if anything happens." he said as he tapped the neckless and kissed her one more time. He then took off into the air and after Jackle. He searched from above and soon found his friend marching threw the forest. Alexander quickly landed infront of him, "can we talk." he asked as he looked at him.

"About what?" Jackle said his voice dangerous. His hands were shaking and he was plainly trying to hide his emotions. He looked at Alexander knowing he hadn't stood a chance to win over Selene. She had Alexander and he was just the loyal puppy keep comming back wanting a little taste of love after everytime he was hit. He looked at Alexander coldly and knew it wasn't his fault but he couldn't help but be angry at him.

Alexander stood there and sighed, "she isn't angery with you, she wanted me to tell you that." he said then looked into jackles eyes. "and your welcome to hate my guts, want to rip me to pieces and everything else just dont leave Selene. She needs you still, but as a friend. You have no idea how her other life was like and she needs any friend she can have now. So please go back and be there for her." he said as he looked at Jackle.

Jackle growled angerily and looked at Alexander. "What else does she want from me?! I have nothing left! Look at me! All I am is just some abused puppy pushed in the corner of her life!" Jackle said anger and pain lacing his voice. "I sware to god I have tried to stay by her side!! I can't take it when I see her with you! Or anyone else!" he snarrled and lashed out at a huge low tree branch snapping it clean off the three and then throwing it away. "I waited... I followed her... I did everything she told me to... She promised she'd give me a chance!" he growled and suddenly he was very quiet looking at the ground. "When she said she was comming back.... I thought she had finally desided to give me a try again... I thought she was going to keep her promise... But then one glance at you...." he said and he clentched his hands into fists. "I knew it was you... I knew she needed you... She had thrown me aside like I was nothing.... I have been treated like nothing my whole life. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't dissappear right now."

Alexander looked down, "because if you go a part of her will go." he said softly, "look I am sorry that I took her from you but she still love you too. She loves you like a brother and if you leave you will take a huge part of her. I know she will never be the same again if you leave, she may never smile again or be truely happy. So all I ask is that you come back for a little while and be with her. She needs you just as much as she needs me right now. Maybe not in the same way but she still needs you. So please come back." he said as he looked at Jackle.

"Fine." Jackle said looking away. He was doing it again. Returning to his master just to get a small pet and then be smacked again. He hated himself for not being strong enough to do this one thing for himself and he looked at the ground. He slowly began walking back his head hanging in pain. It wasn't fare. Why was he never good enough?

Alexander walked next to him and sighed. He saw the pain in the way he walked and knew that that oculdnt' stay like that. "look, just tell Selene when you are going to leave when you decide it is time. She was really upset when you just took off." he said as he looked at jackle. He didn't have to stay iff he didn't want to.

"Yeah whatever." Jackle said flatly and suddenly he was him by a hard force. He looked down and Selene was hugging him fiercely. Tears were streaking down her face and he was shocked. "Im sorry... I'm so sorry..." she whispered and his eyes softened. "It wasn't you.... I just needed to cool off... Relax." he said softly and stroked her head lovingly.

Alexander stood back and watched them. He knew that Selene needed him just as much as she needed him. THey where here for her and she was a big part of both of there lives. They had to protect her and be with her. He hoped that Jackle would realize just how much he met to selene even though she also had him.

Jackle hugged Selene back and she looked up at him. "are you going to stay?" she asked her eyes shining with tears. Jackle's heart melted at the sight and nodded. "Of course I am." he said softly and kissed her head. She smiled and hugged him fiercely. Jackle was dissappointed at her reaction wishing she had kissed him but he hugged her back anyway.

Alexander smiled, glad that Jackle was going to stay and for the smile on Selenes face. He always wanted that smile on her face, never a frown or anything else. He loved her more then anything else and would always love her. He wondered if Jackle would find someone to be with and be in love with.

Selene looked at Alexander and then hugged him too. She then took both of their hands and looked at them. "Lets find that hotel!" she said happily and Jackle smiled softly looking at the ground. That girl could be really strong sometimes... Always bouncing back like that took strength... "Right... I'm beat." he added with a smile. "Me too. I need a cat nap." she said smiling and he rolled his eyes. "A puppy nap is better." he teased and she laughed.

Alexander laughed with then and started to head back to the town. He wondered if they could get the same room he had gotten when they where with simon and they had rescued her form satin. "I would personally like a nice long deep sleep." he said and liked the idea of that.

"Just sleep in general sounds great." Jackle said and smiled. "I call my own room! I want my own bed!" he said and Selene laughed. "Alright you big hog! Alexander and I will share." she said laughing and looked into Alexander eyes and hers flashed. She wanted to spend the night with him. She was glad Jackle understood.

Alexander smiled when he saw the look in Selenes eyes and kissed her cheek. "I am fine with shareing." he said and was glad that Jackle understood. He still wanted to talk to jackle about whos life was worse but as they got closer to the hotel he saw a figure running towards them and Alexander knew right away who it was. It was another saved, her name was Grace and she had been a very good friend of his.

Grace came running up and stopped right infront of Alexander, "where in the seven hells have you been? first you run out of a meeting and dont explain yourself and no one hears from you in days. DO you have any idea how many saved we have looking for you now?" she said and you could tell she was pissed.

As soon as Jackle saw the girl he had stepped protectively in front of Selene. Surprised she quickly tucked in her black wings and pulled her cape around herself quickly. "Relax Jackle..." she breathed and he only relaxed slightly. She looked over his shoulder and was surprised to hear the girl's words. "Who is she?" Jackle asked not taking his eyes off of her. "No idea..." Selene whispered. Luckly she didn't have a reputation yet... Like she did before they had came back to the past... Which ment she was never trained... She could do it over again!

Alexander looked at Grace, "call off the search then, I am fine. I just had something to do that was more important then anything else." he said as he looked at Grace. Grace looked at him and then she seemed to notice jackle and Selene. "oh, hi. Sorry about running up but we have been looking for Alexander for a while. YOu see he just up and left one day." she said and then held out a hand to Selene, "My name is grace." she said and you could finally get a good look at her. She had firey read hair and deep blue eyes. She woar regular jeans and a black shirt and on the back of the shirt it said if you touch me you will feel my rath.

Selene smiled warmly and took grace's hand. Instantly the shock of damned touching a saved jolted threw her and was just waiting for Grace to lash out angerily at one of them. "Im Selene." she said softly.
