~~Story~~
“It'd always been there. The Skylurian Wildwoods, considered the most dangerous forest set on this world or any others. It's not that the forest is ugly, on the contrary, it's more beautiful than any other wonder of nature or man-made creation; lush tree's with grassy clearings and silver streams of clear fresh water and fresh fish abound within the confines of the emerald location known as the Skylurian Wildwoods. However....the thing that does make it dangerous, besides the animals of course and some of the more carnivorous plants....is the Guardian Beast. Not a hideously monstrous creation of some kind or other, no, in fact the Beast takes the form of either a beautiful woman, a unicorn or a white deer. Any who have seen this Beast, either peeking from the edges of the forest or when they themselves enter the trees find that they become smitten with finding the beast. Legends tell of a Spring of Youth, sort of an ever-flowing wellspring of liquid that is neither water nor any other known liquid in the world that granted eternal youth to anyone capable enough of defeating the Beast and obtaining control over Spring. There are other, darker legends however that tell of a price that must be paid in order for the Spring to relinquish the Water of Life, a terrible one. But they are just Legends correct? No. They are far more than simply legends.
Over the millenia of the forests existence, hunters of both animals and that one mythical treasure have entered the forest and never returned, specifically those with souls gone black from greed or hatred or anger. And though those deemed 'pure' have sometimes escaped the forest, not many have made it out alive who have seen the Guardian Beast, and remained alive or sane for very long afterwards. There are tales of course of men and women who had escaped the forest with their lives and sanity intact but they are obscure and now long forgotten. The Beast however is a dangerous creature. Both vindictive and vengeful if a person somehow enters the forest that she guards and calls home without permission. The Guardian is not one to be trifled with and has made mockery of attempts to capture her for ages. So, close to a thousand years ago the villages surrounding the ethereally beautiful forest summoned mages and clerics, priests and witches from all the corners of the world in order to seal off the forest and it's occupants. It took all of them, alongside demons and angels of immense power over a year to create a seal strong enough to entirely surround the forest, creating a sort of pocket dimension, where the forest and all of it's creatures were to remain forevermore in peace or chaos on their own, away from the Human and Other World. It's said that if the Sealing Stone down there were to be broken, the Forest would return and the Guardian and the fury and the anger of those who were banished with her and the Forest would be unleashed on the world.”
The old man spoke in a professional storytellers voice from across the campfire, his face turned towards the large group of teenagers settled around the enormous ring of burning wood. Most of them listened and yet scoffed whilest some, a very few, turned to look down at the crater where the Sealing stone lay.
“That was in the past, like, the dinosaur age Gramps. You know that this crater here isn't from a forest being made to vanish but by a meteor hitting the earth! It's all just a bunch of hocus pocus and nonsense!” Exclaimed the thirteen year old with a youngsters haughtiness. The elderly man turned a gimlet eye on the youngster and then shook his head and got to his creaky old knees. Dusting himself off, he looked out at the crater, now deemed a historical and natural landmark which was surrounded by several thousands of acres of fencing and electricity. This hangout was near his home and since he was a guard at night too, he always knew when there was a party going on and he let them party as long as all of them listened to the same old story every time. Everyone in the city a few kilometers from the site of the Sealing Stone knew of the Skylurian Wildwoods Legends and everyone all thought that same thing except for the older folks. They knew the stories were true.
“Well, promised I'll let you get to partying, just remember to put out the fire before you all leave for the night. And don't go near the Sealing Stone, those fences aren't meant to keep out humans, it's meant for the animals and other beasties." Warned the oldster before flicking on his flashlight and wandering off down the pathway to continue his patrol.
“Cheh, crazy old coot.” Spat one of the dozen or so of teens and young adults there, spitting into the fire. Then she frowned and raised an eyebrow at a smaller crowd over by the fence. They were holding something and laughing about it so the girl sauntered over to see what was up. The guys were holding and looking at a gun. Just a regular hand gun, nothing special but one all the same. “Hey! What the hell man?! This is nuts! Don't tell me you're gonna shoot somebody here!” The girl cried incredulously, then sighed in relief when the boys shook their heads and explained. “Ya see that Marker Stone in the middle of the crater? Well, we've rigged the gun to shoot farther and better so we're gonna aim to shoot the rock! Good target huh?” The 'Marker Stone' was said to be the Sealing rock used to seal away the Skylurian forest forever and it WAS covered in runes and strange symbols mostly covered in moss and dirt. The girl shrugged then and nodded, excited to see how far the guns bullet would go. Everyone there was armed of course, just no one she knew of had brought a gun and had been surprised. The rest of the people gathered around the electric fence as the kid with the gun took aim then fired off several shots. One, Two and Three missed but the Fourth one rang out true and hit the stone in the middle of the enormous crater. Everyone cheered and began congratulating the guns owner.
Then everything went to hell in a hand basket. With a ribbon.
The stone that the bullet had hit cracked right down the middle, the runes on it shattering and spinning upwards into the sky in a line of silver-gold lighting while darker symbols shadowed them, making a chain of sorts that went past where the normal eye can see. As the sealing magic dissolved, the forest slowly began to grow visible and very much tangible. It took less than twenty minutes for the forest to fully appear, and less than that for the teens and young adults to run for their lives in terror at the sounds coming from the forest itself. The roars and howls, snarls and yips of beasts who in the time of a thousand years have grown more intelligent than their earth bound kin. And the one odd sound amongst it all. The clear, fluid singing of a woman that rose above it all in a song of triumph and wild delight at the freedom that The Guardian and her ilk now had.
~One Week Later~
Eighty-eight people have gone into the forest, from scientists to students to women and children. None of them came out alive and any and all electronics fail within ten feet of the forest, just giving out entirely though the fence that circles the Forest is still there though the electricity no longer runs through it. So there is no communication and no way to tell if the people who went in are still alive. The forest is constantly seeming to change, from menacing and overbearing to still and peacefully quiet and it scares those who try to live rationally. Well, now there is a price on the head of any creature that is successfully hunted in the Skylurian Wildwoods. With the Guardians head being the biggest bounty with the fabled 'treasure' being a side dish to the bounty. The governments all over the world are trying to figure out how to get this forest to go back to it's alternate dimension and has already sent in many people to try and figure out this legend and creature. Some have gone inside to try to get the Eternal Life or the Treasure promised in the legends whilest others have gone hunting the Guardian. Just remember that for whatever reason you go into this forest, you will not leave until the Guardian says otherwise. And if She doesn't... well, you'll have to trick her or try to reason with her. It is possible....but you'll have to figure out How to trick her or Reason with her. This is Her playground, and if you don't play by Her rules.....you won't live to see the dawn.

~~Rules~~
Okay, everyone hates rules but ya gotta live with 'em no matter what or where you are so get over it and let's carry on!
Seriously? There are MAYBE four rules here that are for this roleplay in particular, but other then that, use your common sense alright?? Yeesh!
First of all, I shouldn't need to remind you of the whole no-naughtiness and such okay? Pg 13 and No Godmodding and all that?? Good. I hate repeating myself so yeah, NO SEX!!! Kissing's fine as long as you two don't try to devour each other, icky!
PM me profiles alright? Title of the PM should be Sarene please.
THIS IS A YAOI/YURI FRIENDLY ROLEPLAY, anyone hating that idea can go kiss a donkeys bum!
This is an Advanced literate roleplay folks!
That means.....
NO GODMODDING! It ticks me right off and I can't STAND it!
Write at LEAST two paragraphs, MINIMUM, that are legible or you'll be asked to leave for the day. Two paragraphs means roughly 14 sentences in case you're wondering. Seven sentences per paragraph...
Two times that you are warned out for a day and you are OUT!
No usage of : :, - -, * * or any other weird doodle for actions, use ONLY Italics for thoughts and Quotations for speech folks! Basics are best!
Use OOC or brackets for Out Of Character Chatting, got it?
Carrying on....
MAKE SURE you don't end up with some lame-ass character that's all weak and stuff, I hate it and lots of others do too. Please try to be a little strong AND a little weak sometimes....like normal people....whoever those people are....
And on the other hand NO GODS!!! For Pete's sake (whoever that is) we DON'T NEED FREAKING ALL POWERFUL IDIOTS CAUSING HAVOC!!!! The Guardian can cause plenty enough on her own and SHE'S not a God! Or Goddess...
There is NO SUCH CREATURE as a perfect woman or a perfect man! Even online! Seriously guys, everyone has issues, so make you're characters have 'em too!
DON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN! This might be a slightly directed roleplay but I will only direct EVENTS, not people lives!! I'm only a demi-god! and if I start acting like an idiot, someone please tell me! In a nice manner though, I don't like rudeness.
Swearing is fine by me, just do NOT make an f-bomb every second word, okay? Have SOME decorum!
If I added too many words to the rules add a sarcasm emoticon to the end of the profile and if I didn't then put a smiley emoticon there, either way add an emoticon so's I know you read all the rules! Which are REALLLLYYYY simple!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~IF YOU WANT TO BE A CREATURE WHO LIVES IN THE FOREST WITH THE GUARDIAN, PM ME ASKING TO FIRST ALRIGHT???~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~Where you're character is~~
Bascially, it's been a week since the Forest appeared and the news is all over the televisions, newspapers and radios still, so everyone from all over the world knows of it's reappearance. You're character, if it isn't living in the forest, is on its way to it in order to do something or whatever, it's your choice. As for if your character lives in the forest, you're preparing for war with the Outsiders or doing your own thing, it's up to you, but either way, ANYONE WHO LIVES IN THE FOREST MUST HAVE A DISLIKE FOR THOSE WHO LIVE OUTSIDE OF IT.
Unicorn: Leera as a Unicorn.
Deer: Leera as a Deer.
I am:
Leera Ashkevron Sheeraneshtethran, AKA Guardian Beast.
I've Seen Many Sunrises:
Four hundred thirty thousand years old. Looks to be about 19 in human form.
I Know I'm A:
Female
But I Swing
Bisexual.
People Call Me A(n):
Guardian Beast or Unicorn.
I Can Do Many Things:
Unicorn: Her horn has both healing abilities and purifying abilities, capable of healing any wound, even mortal ones though any poisons become her own whenever she heals someone and it weakens her body dangerously. The purifying is similar though the purifying of a dark souled person sometimes destroys their body, allowing the renewed soul to move on. That ability also weakens her to a certain degree though not as badly as healing a person does.
Human: A master witch in the powers over earth and plants, she can control vines and such to subdue her prey and creates non-life threatening poisons to discourage animals and people from dangerous areas. However, she cannot control these powers if she gets scared or angry and has a tendency to lock herself within a giant seed pod if her life force weakens too much from healing something injured, depending on the severity of her own wounds after a fight she might do the same.
Deer: Okay, her deer form is considered the weakest of her forms, being powerless, though her powers revert to allow herself to become faster and stronger than regular deer. However, in this form only is she entirely mortal, so a well place arrow or bullet will kill her, which is why Leera very rarely reverts to this form except to flee.
I'm Armed and Dangerous:
Human: Her human form is weaponless unless you count the many forms of defense styles she knows, having been taught by masters of her own kind before they all died off.
Unicorn: Her horn and hooves as well as her speed and strength are her weapons, it's not much but her hooves are diamond hard, her tail can take a man's head off if he gets too close and her horn...well, a spear has nothing on that beauty.
Deer: Her hooves are her weapon and her teeth though not nearly as effective.
My Past is No Ones Concern:
Born to two Guardian Beasts in a time where humans did not exist and demons and angels were nothing more than sparks in the gods' eyes, Leera was raised a proud and noble woman of the Charstanshret Herd, named for the animals who gathered at her birth to welcome her arrival into the world. Leera, meaning the animal third of the fawna and flora of the worls, grew up unafraid of those two legged creatures who slowly arrived and built odd looking structures about the forests and plains she called home. In time however, everyone of her race grew to fear and despise those mortal beasts who grunted and mumbled alien words and phrases that grated on her ears. They held fire and controlled weapons that were used to kill her kind and then, like the wolves and yet unlike those noble beasts, these hideously ungraceful creatures hunted and ate her kind like so much meat and left the bones to rot in the open sun. It was a tortured existence of fear as the Guardian Race was hunted to near extinction, the corpses underneath the sun never allowing her kinds spirits to rest in peace, leaving them to roam the world in agony as they relived their deaths over again and again.
Leera was only a few hundred years of age when she was forcibly given the role of Guardian of the Spring, the source of her race's mystical powers, when her parents and little sister died under human hands. She took her job seriously and spent her days watching the humans around the forest to ascertain when the creatures would make their move or if they planned to stay and make her job harder. When a campfire in the humans village caught nearby logs and burned a swath of destruction, destroying everything except for the oldest parts of the forest and chasing away those human creatures that didn't burn, Leera rejoiced, using the powers of her human form to protect the densest parts of the forest and even ushering some humans into the hottest flames, watching them burn with relish.
Leera never trusted the beasts when they returned and rebuilt better houses. In fact she did her damndest to protest their very existence, killing of any and all who were not white souled, or pure hearted. Even those humans with white souls she did not spare easily and most never survived more than three days with her, the Guardian Beasts Longing spell calling their souls to obsession. When the magic wielders arrived a thousand years ago to stop her from using her magics, she had every reason to despise them when they sent her and her forest into the Shadowed Place, the alternate dimmension. There she allowed her anger to cool in the thousand years since and has partially forgiven the ignorant beasts called humans for their horrendous misdeeds, in fact she had begun to love the Shadowed Place, without it's pointlessly cruel humans and two legged creatures of dark or light origin, it's warmth and gentle embrace soothed her in a way no other place but the Springs Heart could. However, a thousand years is a long time and the animals and beasts within the forest began to die out and go insane, becoming bloodthirsty and cruel slowly from inbreeding and Leera was beginning to wish for companions when the Seal broke and her home was returned to the place it had first been sealed from ages ago. The sense that humans had entered her forest was the first thing that alerted her to the sense that all was not well and now, well, now she's not sure what is going on other than that there is now blue and clouds in skies that, for her, had been nothing but darkness and stars for a millenia.
I Can Be a Bit:
Normally gentle and a nurturer of the world around her Leera was considered almost a goddess in her human and other forms by the animals in the forest and never used her magics for evil or simple cruelty until the humans began to destroy her kind, finding it to be painful to use her magics for such a purpose. Self-defense on the other hand is an altogether different story. But yeah, other than holding a bit of a grudge towards the humans who murdered her family and herd, Leera`s really a nice girl....Guardian...thing. If angered, she gets a cold silence that generally scares people, since it makes her seem frigid and hardened towards their feelings and words. In fact, her silence can sometimes be warm or cold depending on her moods when being confronted by someone or something, generally it`s warm but if it`s a topic that she finds sensitive, then yeah, beware the cold chill of silence.
I Love:
Silence, Peace and Rainstorms.
I Despise:
Humans, weapons, fighting and pain.
I'm With:
None
I'm Controlled By:
It was dawn yet again in the new world, the world where Her forest had appeared not a sevenday ago. Awakening slowly as she was wont to do over the millenia that she had been in Her forest, Leera Ashkevron Sheeraneshtethran sighed and lifted the equine head of the body she was currently formed into. The unicorns eyes held an eternity of sadness within them for simply a moment before the look was replaced with a close-eyed yawn. Getting to cloven hoofed feet, the unicorn shook herself, dislodging a large tree squirrel from her back. The creature landed on the fallen log that Leera had fallen asleep against and began to groom itself as though it hadn't just taken a fall of a mythical creatures back. ~Good morrow to yourself as well then little flying mouse.~ Her greeting was silent, as equine mouths were impossible to speak with coherently. The flying squirrel lifted its head to peer at the Forest Guardian and it chittered good morning as well before telling her the latest gossip of the forest. Apparently there were more humans getting ready to enter the trees in search of prey to hunt for rewards instead of food, with the Guardian being the most prized of all.
~As if I did not know this already. But I thank you for telling such news as this. You will please alert the grazers that the Hunters are arriving again and let them know that their horns must be sharper than ever. Thank you little flying mouse.~ At the squirrels chittered words, she nodded lightly and watched the creature disappear into the trees before she herself turned to the pool that she had slept near once more. It was a simple, perfectly circular pool of clear, crystaline water that was in no way small, nor insignificant. With the oldest tree in the world growing from the center of the water in a huge arc of branches that a person could walk across without the branch so much as swaying and leaves that could hide a person from sight with only a selection of three or four, the tree was enormous. It was also what she guarded along with the pool. Not allowing humans anywhere near the pool or tree, which held the water of life and youth within it's trunk. Dipping her slim head into the pool, sending only three ripples shooting outwards into the water, Leera drank deeply of the life giving water then stood beside the water with her head lifted, horn glittering in the sunlight as her ears flicked around on either side of her head, listening to the sounds of the forest as the news spread quickly from not only the grazers but the wolves and the mountain lions, the badgers and raccoons and bats and birds, all of which had changed somewhat in their thousand year long stay in the alternate dimension. All of the animals were smart as any human or demon on this planet now and all of them held grudges against those who had imprisoned them. Plus the added dimensions own magics had kept them from dying naturally, they had to be killed in a most horrific manner. So they held almost as bad a hatred of men and Other as the Guardian Herself.
'This world is strange to me now..' She mused silently to herself as she picked her way into the forest slowly, ears pricked as her horn melted and her body gained a rounder appearance. The Otherworldly glow about her Unicorn form vanished as well and all in all her form dulled into that of a white deer that tramped down a slim path into the trees. Nodding good morning to a Dultshart, a small pig shaped creature with enormous spines on it's back similar to those of a porcupine, Leera travelled for a good two hours before she came into a clearing when she heard the sounds of warnign coming from a Shatterjay. Similar to a bluejay, the bird was bigger and slimmer, with longer feathers that were a shimmering rainbow of shades of blue all along it's body and wings, the tips of its tail feathers turning to a bloody red.
~Good day Guardian!~ The bird cawed to her and swooped down to alight on the deers back.
~Good day to you as well little one, what warning do we have today?~ She responded seriously, nudging the little bird as it picked a small piece of dirt off of it's wings.
~There's a paw trap made of some nasty tasting metal over there in the left hand part of the clearing, please stay away from it mistress!~ The bird cawed again shirlly as she nudged it again with a silent ~I will, thank you very much. Now go look after your nestlings, I hear them calling for your attentions.~
